Hi,
does AirPlay work on your LG projector? I can't get my PF510Q to show up in the Screen Sharing AirPlay menu on my iPhone.
Both the iPhone and the projector are connected to the same WiFi router (both wirelessly, no Ethernet). I tried enabling and disabling IPv6, restarting the router, iPhone and the projector, but still nothing showed up.
Then I connected my MacBook to the same WiFi network and enabled AirPlay Receiver on the MacBook. The iPhone could immediately see the MacBook and stream to it, so it looks like the problem is in the projector.
I should add that the WiFi router isn't connected to the internet, but there is no reason why AirPlay would need internet connection. After all, I was able to connect my iPhone to my MacBook via AirPlay without internet connection.
Thanks for your insights!

31.5-inch Surgical Monitor Boosts Convenience in the OR With Intelligent Features
Including Preset Picture Modes and Instant Screen Mode Switching
SEOUL, Sep. 11, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) is launching its new 31.5-inch 4K surgical monitor, model 32HS710S. Designed to streamline surgical workflow, the monitor combines crisp 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160) image quality with intelligent new features that prioritize user convenience and operational efficiency. The monitor has received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. FDA, confirming it can now be sold in the U.S.
The 32HS710S introduces a range of workflow-enhancing functions to make it simpler and more intuitive for medical professionals to interact with visual data. For example, users can configure picture mode settings independently for each input source, helping to display images from multiple devices in a way that suits their needs. Dedicated hotkeys enable quick activation of preferred screen modes and Picture-by-Picture (PBP) layouts, facilitating adjustments with a single button press.
The monitor’s 4K IPS display is designed to deliver clear, detailed images with consistent color across a wide viewing angle. It provides a typical brightness of 800 cd/m² and covers approximately 95 percent of the DCI-P3 color space. Compliant with the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) standard, the monitor is a high-quality solution for displaying visual output from various medical imaging devices.
To address the demands of the operating room environment, the 32HS710S employs durable glass with Optical Bonding, along with Anti-Glare, Anti-Reflection and Anti-Fingerprint coatings to help maintain image clarity under bright surgical lighting. The monitor is built with an IP45 rating for the front, IP32 rating for the back and IK06 impact resistance. Weighing approximately 9.2 kilograms, it can be mounted on a variety of surgical monitor arms.
For operational continuity, the monitor includes a Failover Input Switch that can automatically switch to a backup source if the primary signal is interrupted. This key reliability feature is complemented by versatile viewing options, including 4-screen PBP and Picture-in-Picture (PIP) for monitoring multiple sources at once. The display also offers Mirror and Rotation Modes for the easy adjustment of image orientation, and Clone Screen output for training and collaboration purposes.
“In developing the 32HS710S, we concentrated on delivering practical workflow benefits for surgical teams – for whom time and focus are critical,” said YS Lee, head of the IT Business at the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company. “By incorporating automated screen settings, one-touch controls and reliable backup systems, we aim to provide tools that can help medical staff maintain focus on patient care.”

A Genuine Gamechanger, LG’s Ultra Short Throw Projector Presents 4K Picture
Quality, Dolby Atmos Support and Built-in webOS in a Sleek, Portable Package
SEOUL, Aug. 5, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) today announced the beginning of the global rollout of the LG CineBeam S (model PU615U), a compact yet powerful 4K Ultra Short Throw (UST) projector designed to deliver premium home entertainment and unprecedented flexibility. Building on the legacy of the LG CineBeam Q, the new model elevates viewer immersion with vibrant, large-scale images in stunning 4K (3,840 x 2,160) and cinematic audio with dynamic Dolby Atmos sound. Introducing the concept of “Wonder beyond spatial limits,” the stylish LG CineBeam S can turn even the smallest space into a premier personal theater.
LG’s latest CineBeam projector combines advanced UST technology and an exceptionally small, aesthetically pleasing form factor to provide maximum space efficiency, effortless portability and a memorable big-screen experience. Positioned as close as 8.1 centimeters from the screen or projection surface, this elegantly designed UST projector reproduces bright, detailed pictures measuring from 40 inches (at 8.1 centimeter) up to 100 inches (at 39.3 centimeter) diagonally. Unlike conventional projectors that require long throw distances and complex mounting setups, the CineBeam S is supremely easy to set up – ideal for situations where space is at a premium. Its tiny footprint means there is no need to move furniture or rearrange the room to create the optimal conditions for installation.
The CineBeam S produces brilliant 4K images – adjustable in size from 40 to 100 inches – that are just as crisp and clear in the daytime as they are at night. Its advanced RGB laser system offers 154 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, guaranteeing accurate color reproduction that helps preserve the creative intent behind each piece of content. With 500 ANSI lumens brightness and a 450,000:1 contrast ratio, it ensures deep blacks and rich, lifelike colors under any ambient lighting conditions.
Designed to fit seamlessly into customers’ lifestyles, the LG CineBeam S offers a range of convenient features that promote versatile usability. A complete home cinema solution, it comes equipped with built-in stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos for spacious and dynamic audio. The integration of LG’s webOS smart TV platform gives users access to a host of popular streaming services along with intuitive control and convenient content discovery.
For more entertainment options, users can connect external devices through the projector’s physical ports (HDMI x 1 and USB Type-C x 2), or stream content wirelessly from a smartphone, tablet or PC via AirPlay 2 and Screen Share. Setup is fast and simple, thanks to Auto Screen Adjustment, which enables sharp, perfectly aligned visuals in practically any viewing environment. Users can further fine-tune visual output without physically moving the projector through Screen Scaling & Shifting, and utilize the Wall Color Adjustment feature for projection onto non-white surfaces.
Beyond performance, the CineBeam S also impresses with its subtle, yet eye-catching minimalist design completed with an elegant metallic finish, seamlessly blending into any interior space as an aesthetic object. Its small size allows for easy placement on a shelf or table and provides excellent portability, giving users the freedom to take the projector with them wherever they go. A triumph of form and function, the LG CineBeam S packs powerful projection technology into an ultra-compact unit that fits comfortably in one hand, measuring 110 × 160 × 160 millimeters and weighing 1.9 kilograms. The model also ships with a redesigned remote that offers a more refined look and a more natural control experience compared to the LG CineBeam Q. Additionally, support for the LG ThinQ app lets users operate the projector with their smartphone.
“The LG CineBeam S is a testament to our commitment to innovation, and to bringing a truly premium home cinema experience to a wider audience,” said YS Lee, head of IT Business at the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company. “This isn’t just a projector; it’s a premium lifestyle solution that combines design and technology excellence to deliver unprecedented flexibility and a new kind of customer value.”

LG’s New Campaign Leverages Music – the Universal Language – to Foster
Deeper Connections and Expand the Life’s Good Promise in Digital Spaces
SEOUL, June 24, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) today launched a new brand campaign, “Radio Optimism,” designed to help strengthen meaningful human connections and spread optimism through shared musical experiences. This initiative aligns with LG’s brand promise, “Life’s Good,” and addresses the growing challenge of forming genuine relationships in a technology-driven world.
The Radio Optimism campaign seeks to counteract the disconnection often felt in an era dominated by superficial interactions, such as likes and comments on social media. By harnessing the power of music, LG aims to foster deeper bonds among individuals, promoting a more fulfilling life.
“As technology advances, meaningful human connections become increasingly vital to enrich our lives. LG continues its commitment to bringing optimism into customers’ daily lives, staying true to our enduring brand promise of ‘Life’s Good,’” said Kim Hyo-eun, head of LG’s Brand Management Division.
This campaign reinforces LG’s commitment to creating enriching experiences in digital spaces where today’s consumers spend significant time. Building on this mission, LG has continuously engaged with younger audiences through participatory campaigns that bring the Life’s Good philosophy to life. Last year’s “Optimism your feed” campaign leveraged social algorithms to foster positivity on social media. This new initiative specifically seeks to address the paradoxical disconnection in an era of hyper-connectivity.
“One of the most reliable predictors of happiness is having deep and meaningful relationships,” said Jean M. Twenge, Professor of Psychology at San Diego State University. “Yet today, many people are spending more time online and less time connecting in person. Social media in particular tends to create shallow relationships rather than the deep connections people need. It’s common for people to have hundreds of followers but no one to talk to in real life if they need support. We need to build more meaningful connections with those around us. That might turn around the pronounced decline in happiness that’s occurred over the last decade.”
A new global study* from LG on social connection reveals that 68 percent of people find it harder to make real friends, and a third reported having one or fewer meaningful connections in the past month, with 8 percent experiencing none at all. Inspired by traditional radio’s unique way of connecting people through music and storytelling, the Radio Optimism campaign transforms this concept into an interactive platform where participants can create and send personalized songs to their loved ones. Users can easily create new songs using AI-powered tools, which are thoroughly trained on a curated music dataset. These tools interpret user prompts to produce unique musical pieces and generate matching album art, providing an engaging and personalized experience. Once generated, these songs can be sent to recipients to deepen their connection and made available for others to discover worldwide.
According to the survey, nearly 9 in 10 respondents believe that meaningful connections lead to a more optimistic outlook on life. By providing a platform for individuals to express their feelings, this campaign aims to foster deeper connections and help individuals enrich their lives while spreading optimism in their own ways.
The campaign website is available in English and Spanish, with plans to support additional languages in the coming months to enable broader participation. The official website can be found at

The showcase took place at a trendy café popular among freelancers, setting the perfect scene to demonstrate how LG’s technology fits seamlessly into both creative workflows and daily life.
At the video editor’s station, LG highlighted high-performance tools designed for intense editing environments. The setup, resembling a professional post-production suite, featured the UltraGear OLED GX9 and the CineBeam S Ultra-Short Throw 4K Projector – demonstrating the depth, detail and precision of LG’s display technology.
In contrast, the graphic designer’s space was bright, open and designed for maximum flexibility. With the LG gram Pro 2-in-1 and Smart Monitor Swing on display, this area showcased tools that offer creative professionals unmatched portability and versatility – ideal for capturing inspiration anytime, anywhere.
Alongside the themed zones, guests explored a hands-on product and award showcase featuring the LG gram Pro 2-in-1, Smart Monitor Swing, CineBeam S and UltraGear OLED GX9. The display also spotlighted global honors from CES, Red Dot and iF Design Awards, reinforcing LG’s growing reputation as a leader in IT innovation.
Opening the event, LG Taiwan Managing Director Jeong Yeon-kwan introduced the LG’s vision and philosophy of “Affectionate Intelligence” – an approach that puts people, emotions and usability at the center of technology. He emphasized LG’s commitment to creating solutions that don’t just perform, but connect with everyday human experiences.
Designer Jyunccihli also took the stage to share how LG devices have helped elevate her creative process. From spontaneous sketching on the LG gram Pro to immersive design reviews on the LG Smart Monitor, she described how LG’s innovation continues to expand her artistic potential.
Her newest trio of artworks – Spiral Nebula, Galactic Coordinates and Rotating Planet – draws inspiration from the cosmos and pairs with LG’s latest products: the LG gram, LG Smart Monitor, and CineBeam projector. Reflecting LG’s theme of “Light but Mighty,” the series fuses abstract celestial visuals with the spirit of innovation.
“As with the universe, true lightness is not emptiness – it’s a hidden yet powerful force that upholds cosmic order,” says Jyunccihli. “To me, ‘lightness’ is a form of strength: intangible yet immeasurably profound, just like the universe itself.”
To bring the creative energy to a wider audience, LG Taiwan launched the Creative Relay Challenge, encouraging the public to personalize designs using elements by Jyunccihli. Open to all, participants can use platforms like Instagram Stories to share their creations.
Submissions are open through June 30, with selected entries eligible for exclusive prizes and the chance to be featured on LG Taiwan’s official platforms.
