My lg 49LF6310 tv flickers in menu

Anish Krishnan

Question

Hey guys, I have a LG 49LF6310 which is 1.5 years old. All of a sudden my TV started flickering while accessing menu or while using a thing related to the os but it works fine while watching movies or TV. Please help.

I have attached a photo where you can see the boxy flickering why in settings menu. It disappears when I exit it. It looks like a Software side problem but i cant seem to figure out what the problem is.

      Hi all,
I'm wondering how you can get into the service menu (In Start) on an old LG Smart TV (42LB630V) running WebOS 1.4.  I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 (SM-G920F) with a IR blaster, I have tried sending '0x04FB 0xFB04' to I which should be IR code to enter the menu, but that doesn't work.
I have also tried entering it with the SSAP-Web, but I get:
error: 500 Application error {"errorCode":-101,"returnValue":false,"errorText":"\"com.webos.app.factorywin\" was not found OR Unsupported Application Type" The SAPP-Web app does works though, because the TV does respond to Get info
{ "returnValue": true, "product_name": "webOS", "model_name": "HE_DTV_WT1M_AFAAABAA", "sw_type": "FIRMWARE", "major_ver": "05", "minor_ver": "05.90", "country": "omitted", "device_id": "omitted", "auth_flag": "N", "ignore_disable": "N", "eco_info": "01", "config_key": "00", "language_code": "en-GB" } The reason I want to access the menu is because I've enabled DEBUG mode on my TV through the NVM method and I want to enter a root shell trough UART to enable SSH and root access.
      Gaining root access through NVM:

      Hello
I keep getting this bar ( see below ) about twice a week. It doesn't require me to do something as far as I can tell. When I close it it disappears only to pop-up again two days later.
Am I supposed to do something ? If not how do I get rid of it ? It is very annoying.
My tv isn't the latest model. LG webOS TV UM 7100PLB

LGE6 TV settings menu won’t open. Any settings just say loading when you click on them. I.e. picture mode, aspect ratio, and all settings

this TV has done this before but it somehow fixed itself after a month. I’m wondering if anybody knows how to correct this problem with the settings menus stuck on loading.

      Hello,
I recently got a 32LB650V from LG Hellas as replacement of my old 32LM620A where it had a serious damage that coldn't be repaired.
      Nice move from LG but....
The new WebOS for the moment is a crap compared to the old menu.
In the old menu i had:
LG Premium with lot's of goodies
LG Smart World where it was full of apps of anykind and i could find anything i want.
LG 3D World with nice short movies, cartoons and documentaries in 3D.
Where are all these in WebOS????????

Now i have only youtube, facebook and 2-3 other useless stuff.

OK the panel's quality is better, sound is better, the configuration menu is OK, but where are all the other things that made me buy my old 32LM620A????????

LG 43UQ7590 used as photo display. Put it into Hotel Mode and set IR Operation to Block All. This is to prevent the photo display from responding when I turn my main LG TV in the same room on and off. All OK. Then wanted to turn off Hotel Mode so entered the 1-1-0-5 sequence again. But did something wrong as now the Quick Access settings menu comes up. I can't exit that menu since the remote is blocked. Tried unplugging TV for a day - still the Quick Access menu comes up. Tried inserting a USB drive with updated firmware for the TV but can't select the Yes/No options to continue the update. Is my only hope getting a service remote? Thanks much.
