"We couldn't be more excited to announce the release of Mvix for LG webOS," said A. Jay, the Mvix Senior Director of Business Relations."We're big on shifting focus to choice of CMS, support structure, and business model, and LG's SoC displays empower us to do just that."

Mvix Flex gives customers the same Mvix experience on commercial LG SoC displays without the need for an external media player. Customers get the full Mvix experience, in addition to:

  • live video playback, including HDCP encrypted content - any HDMI Input video that is encoded using HDCP, including live TV, will be supported and displayed on the screens
  • remote volume control
  • remote control of the signage screens - by default, screens are set to display content 24/7, but Mvix for LG webOS allows you to remotely turn the screens on and off. This is a feature that's available on Mvix signage players () that has been extended to webOS
  • support for RTSP (rtsp://), popular in AV for live streaming

These features, unique to Mvix for LG webOS, allow the company to deliver a powerful, reliable and secure platform for the signage market. Customers also get a simplified installation and a low total cost of ownership. Such a solution will:

  • reduce maintenance costs
  • minimize points of failure
  • save physical space
  • reduce energy consumption

Mvix also released a second webOS solution called . Ideal for building directories and menu boards, this solution puts the content creation software  on LG displays. The software includes 1000s of templates which can be edited, customized and published remotely. The simple content creation suite includes animations, slideshows, overlapping layers and scrolling text.

"Just like with Mvix for Chrome OS, Mvix for LG webOS allows us to expand our ecosystem into international markets," added A. Jay. "LG SoC displays are readily available in Europe and Asia, eliminating the need for shipping and customs. Getting up and running is as easy as downloading the Mvix app and signing in with existing account credentials."

It is unprofessional on part of LG TV that they do not resolve the basic issue of adding app gCmob in their app store.
My 50UT80506LA LG WebOs TV does not support my office security camera system via wifi to TV.  We need (gCmob app) in list of app.
I can't connect my office camera via Wi-Fi to LG-TV. No body in LG TV technical team is proactive in resolving the issue of customer. They are more happy to befool the customers, rather than looking for technical solution through wider thinking.
Please talk to you top management and make a visit to our office to understand the customers plight..
      Please respond to customers needs.

Since my lg-oled65c9pla auto-updated to WebOS 5.5, there is a new bug.
The TV is connected to my Cambridge Audio Evo 75 amplifier over ARC - on powering the TV, it has always started up the amp, and switched it to use audio, instead of the appalling TV speakers. The whole setup has worked flawlessly for 5 years, but since WebOS 5.5, the amplifier starts, but is left in a muted state, and using the un-mute or volume controls on the TV remote makes no difference to turning on audio. The only way to get audio to play though my amp a speakers is to turn the amp's volume dial or press a volume button on the a amp's remote - this then unmutes the TV and audio is back.
There is no setting I can find in the TV that relates to whether the ARC channel starts muted or not...
No software has changed in my amp.  This is an annoying new bug in the TV software, I assume down to some CEC changes.

PS everything is fine if i upload 4k25p or 4k30p
PSS it's a problem only on webOS - on PC or android everything is OK.
