"Mobile TV On" doesn't work

Any idea how to make this work? I have paired various apps including the LG Tv Plus app and I have also got "Mobile TV On" set to on. TV is connected via WiFi and also ethernet cable. However when I turn off the TV via any of the apps the tv then also disappears from the network thus I cannot access it to turn it on. I have tried to use Mobile TV On with just Wifi turned on or with just Ethernet Cable turned on as well as both but no luck either way. Any ideas what Im doing wrong here? Many thanks.

My TV is on software 04.70.20 and its model number is 55UJ634V-ZD. Many thanks.

I have observed the same thing.

Personally I don't care to mush about being able to turn on the TV from the app, but I want to be able to turn it on from my Home Automation (OpenHAB).
I have found out it does react to Wake On Lan packages, so that is what I'm using.

There is a number of WOL app for smartphones, you can use one of those I you want to turn it on from your phone.

Agreed LG should have WOL in there app...

Same problem, talked to agent, said it won't work because tv turns off the internet and in order for it to work it needs internet. I believe it's a development oversight or feature not included and yet it's on the menu, but they won't admit to it. That option simply should not be there in the menu.

ThinQ seems to work sometimes depending if it turned off the internet module or not internally on the tv. Kind of sporadic functionality. At least off works which is usually more useful. not like its super hard to pick up the tv remote.

      I have google TV which connected with HDMI to my LG
      It worked perfectly first few days and I was able to fully control the TV with remote
      It suddenly stopped working yesterday and i cant contol the tv from remote of the google tv
      I did factory reset to google tv but didn't help
      I do see that controlling enabled both on tv and streamer but still dead. Any ideas?

      i've updated an oled 42C3 to software version 33.22.80 and after this update some videos doesn't work anymore, last week no problem. I have other videos with the same format and codecs and work, so i don't have any idea what can be the issue.

      Does AirPlay work on your projector?

      Hi,
      does AirPlay work on your LG projector? I can't get my PF510Q to show up in the Screen Sharing AirPlay menu on my iPhone.
      Both the iPhone and the projector are connected to the same WiFi router (both wirelessly, no Ethernet). I tried enabling and disabling IPv6, restarting the router, iPhone and the projector, but still nothing showed up.
      Then I connected my MacBook to the same WiFi network and enabled AirPlay Receiver on the MacBook. The iPhone could immediately see the MacBook and stream to it, so it looks like the problem is in the projector.
      I should add that the WiFi router isn't connected to the internet, but there is no reason why AirPlay would need internet connection. After all, I was able to connect my iPhone to my MacBook via AirPlay without internet connection.

      No apps will work - "check network connection, connection to the server is unstable -102" even though network is fine

      Title says it all.  Install a new 50 inch LG tv.  For every app and App Store it displays that message.  I have a great network and the TV is approx 30 feet from the wifi router.  It will play TV (not sure if that is coming over the air) and the phone app sees and can control the TV but not one app will work?
      Any ideas or just return it?
