It’s over.  Skype is dead for webOS.  We reported on the likely eventual death of this

times. But this time, it’s for real.

It worked in early June of this year but not long after I got another message from Skype.

PSA Reminder: Skype for will likely die in 11 days.

But 12 days later it still worked.

Skype still works for users after the 1 July warning date. It will communicate to older clients but not new ones. Be advised.

— Alan Morford (@alan_morford)

But by working I only meant that legacy clients like ours and to include Android, Linux, and Apple clients that used their older protocol could still talk to each other but not with the newer clients.

Then in the middle of August, webOS forum user, mazzinia, noted .  I only noticed it in September…

Skype for appears dead. It connects then disconnects.

You can see some rather confusing entries in when trying to login.  It doesn’t amount to any good sadly.

If you have a Skype account already added to webOS then your log will look something like this but for those that don’t have a Skype account added to Synergy then you won’t be able to add it anymore.

Farewell, Skype for webOS.

webOS updated, I think to 2023, on my C2 a couple of days ago. Since then the News option on the Sky News app no longer works, instead timing out. The Weather and Climate options still work, though.
I have deleted and reloaded the Sky News app, but the problem remains.
Does anybody have any suggestions of what I might try to get this working again, or is this something for LG, or Sky, to fix?

As the title say, it is unfortunate that we cannot have access in those two apps and as far as I know many ppl waiting for them to be added… Hope to see them soon in webos app list. Thank you in advance.
