Hard disk access via router

App is needed to access files in hard disk which is connected to router. I want to use hard disk and laptop simultaneously.

    • Question: files on USB device shown as ._xxx.jpg

      To have a picture  show on my new LG OLED55B87LC I've connected an external USB 3.0 hard disk (formatted with MS-DOS FAT32 on my iMac) that I've filled with hundreds of pictures from my Fotos App.  But when I open this drive on the TV the jpg pictures (numbered 1.jpg to 999.jpg) show up as ._1.jpg to ._999.jpg. When I scroll down at the end the list then the real jpg`s appear. So it looks like there's a copy of each file on this drive starting with  ._  ?? And all of them can't be shown on the TV - they look faulty ?  I've tried out with another drive / USB stick - just the same problem. Does anyone experience the same problems ? Do USB devices have to be formatted in a special way ? Any idea how to solve this ? 

      Ah - and beside this strange thing - is it normal that it last that long for the system of the TV to create all the thumbnail pictures to show on the TV ? When I scroll through a long list of pictures it lasts always a few seconds until the icons of the pictures really show the contents. This is really annoying because it makes the feature useless if I need several minutes to find a picture I'm searching for. Why is it that slow ? Is the USB connection only with 2.0 Standard ? Or is it a performance problem of WebOS ?

    • Question: Pop up messages on TV:wired LAN disconnected, then Network connected

      For the past few months I am getting intermittent pop up messages on my TV. 1st one says Wired LAN disconnected, then another message pops up and says Network connected. I have been calling my cable carrier Spectrum and Techs have been here and can't find problem. Also I went to check my wifi on my TV and my user name and connections aren't showing up all of a sudden. This TV was just purchased May 2017. What is going on and how to resolve!!

    • Question: My WiFi is connected but I cannot use my apps

      we just recently got WiFi and it's connected to the TV, at least it says it is,, but I cannot get even the content store app to open. I thought the firmware might need to be updated but it tells me it's 'unable to check for updates' but my WiFi says it's connected! my software version is 03.15.55

    • Popup messages: Wired Lan cable disconnected / Wired network is connected

      I recently updated the firmware on my  LG43UH610V.  Now I constantly get "Wired Lan cable disconnected" / "Wired network is connected" messages even while watching a video file from my NAS. The TV is connected and using the network while getting these messages. It has always been on a fixed IP address on the LAN.

    • Synology Apps needed

      I buy a new LG 55 C7V and it is a smart TV, but ther is no way to connect to my Synology NAS. I want connect to my recorder films on my NAS, but i can not see any App to represent a solution.   Is ther any way to connect to my NAS with the LG C7 with the new WEBOS 3.5?
