LG INTRODUCES COMPACT LASER PROJECTOR DESIGNED FOR HOME CINEMA ENTHUSIASTS

‘LG ProBeam’ Delivers Cinematic Viewing Experience In Compact, Portable Form Factor

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J., May 31, 2017 — LG Electronics USA today introduced the “LG ProBeam,” a new laser projector that offers the versatility to deliver a full cinematic viewing experience anytime, anywhere. The compact new home theater projector is available now in the United States at a suggested price of $1,499.99.

“As an industry leader in LED projectors, LG continually pushes the boundaries of innovation to provide consumers with affordable, high performing, and artfully designed home entertainment products,” said Tim Alessi, head of Home Entertainment product marketing at LG Electronics USA. “With the ability to project up to 2,000 lumens of brightness and a picture as big as 120 inches (diagonal), the lightweight and versatile LG ProBeam can transform any living space into your very own home theater.”

The LG ProBeam projector (model HF80JA) is equipped with an advanced laser engine that produces up to 2,000 lumens of brightness and features a slim, sleek design, which makes it more portable, thanks to its innovative I-shaped laser engine. Employing a compact standing-type design, the 4.6-pound LG ProBeam is one of the industry’s lightest Full HD laser projectors in the brightness range of 2,000 lumens.

“Never worry about screen distortion,” says Alessi, thanks to the LG ProBeam’s vertical Auto Keystone alignment feature that automatically detects and corrects any screen image distortion for ideal projection alignment. (Manual Keystone alignment also is available for fine tuning adjustments if needed.) With Bluetooth audio out, the LG ProBeam can be paired with any Bluetooth audio product such as an external speaker or headphones.

What’s more, the LG ProBeam features Wireless Content Share via the LG TV Plus App. Simply download and install the free LG TV Plus app from Google Play or the App Store on a compatible Android or iOS device, to stream videos and photos easily from a smartphone or tablet to the projector over a home network. The LG TV Plus app also includes a handy touchscreen remote control feature for convenient and easy control of the LG ProBeam.

The LG ProBeam is equipped with LG’s award-winning webOS Smart TV platform, giving consumers access to the ever-growing number of streaming services and other desired programs based on location and availability.* LG’s Magic Remote Control allows for easy navigation of the webOS interface.

I used to be able to surf to OPB.org using WebOs on my LG Smart TV and watch the Livestream with no problem. But about a year ago something changed and the Livestream became covered up by the programming grid (with a little bit showing above the grid) and nothing I can do removes it. Is there a way to watch PBS on my LG Smart TV?

Please take steps to include Airtel Xtream Play app in WebOS Content Store!
In India everyone is using Airtel network and Xtream Play as a bundle recharge offer with it!
LG TV is very good and technically advanced! For this mere reason of not having Airtel Xtream Play App, We Customers, need to switch over to other brands!
So, it is mandatory and timely, for LG to make Xtream Play available in WebOS TV, otherwise you have to loose your trusted Customers like us!
         Please think twice and Consider!!!

Hi, my LG webOS TV TN520S is running  software version 05.45.45 and since then the channel 4 and channel 5 apps are broken. You can start to watch a program but as soon as the first set of adverts start, the app just loops and you cant progress past the adverts. I a wondering if this is because the TV is running the latest version of its software (I've searched for newer versions but none are shown). Has anyone else had this problem and is it possible to install a previous version of the TV's software to see if this resolves the problem.

SEOUL, Oct. 2, 2024 — LG Electronics (LG) is launching a new marketing campaign showcasing the powerful audio performance and dynamic style of its LG XBOOM speakers. The campaign is ignited with Boom Boom Pow Festa, a unique music festival dedicated to the iconic Black Eyed Peas’ song “Boom Boom Pow.” Released in 2009, this legendary party anthem topped the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 music chart for 12 consecutive weeks. During this exciting and vibrant event, the all-time favorite party song will be reinterpreted by talented street performers from around the world and performed through LG’s powerful XBOOM party speakers.
Considered something of a modern classic, “Boom Boom Pow” has become a go-to party track globally, its infectious energy and booming bass inspiring revelers of all ages to get to their feet and dance. Street performers in nine different countries* will take to the stage to offer their own unique takes on the song, supported by the exceptional sound of LG XBOOM. In addition to talented street performers, Boom Boom Pow Festa will feature rising stars of the global music scene, such as Brazil’s Delacruz, who is set to perform at the iconic Escadaria Selarón in Rio de Janeiro.
Powered by LG XBOOM party speakers, these exciting performances will be streamed live on the LG Global YouTube channel on October 6 at 01:00 KST as part of a forty-five-minute virtual concert. Videos of the individual performances and behind-the-scenes films showcasing the artists’ creative exploration of LG XBOOM’s dynamic power and energetic audio quality will also be available on the same channel.
