Missing onscreen keyboard

MichaelFP
Go to solution Solved by MichaelFP,

Question

My TV is an  LG 55B6.

A lot of features require text entry on screen - for example using the webbrowser, or renaming inputs (like "HDMI3" to "Xbox").   I had expected an onscreen keyboard to appear when I'm in a mode where text entry is expected - but it doesn't.  Do I need to enable the onscreen keyboard?   Or?

TV is updated to latest firmware.

Best regards,

Michael

Update - and a resolution.

I reset the TV to initial state.  During the new setup I again chose Denmark as location. The result was depressing - still no keyboard.  I then reset the TV again, and this time choose UK as location. Now I got the keyboard. Afterwards I set location back to Denmark, and voila, keyboard is working with Location = Denmark.

Note, that Danish is a support keyboard language, and can be added under General.

      Hi can someone help please.
I purchased this TV as I was assured that I could move TV stations in whichever order I wished. For example, channel 23 can be moved to channel 1.
Under edit all programmes, it only gives me 2 options. Lock/unlock and skip/restore.
Software has the latest updates. It's under Antenna DTV.
Not sure what else to try.
      Thanks!

      Hi,
I have my LG 4K Smart TV -Model : 43UJ632T.
I could not able to use the Wireless Keyboard ( Logitech K230) with Builtin Apps like Youtube, Amazon Prime or in Netflix to search. I could able to use only thru Magic Remote.
But the same Keyboard is working fine in Google Movies & SunNXT apps.
Could you please help me in fixing the same.
      Thanks,
      Sriram.

The LG Content Store is missing from my smart TV so I can’t add any apps. It’s an older smart TV and the ribbon does not look like the newer models. Is it hidden somewhere?

      G'day,
Many apps will bring up an alphabetised layout of keys rather than the more conventional QWERTY keyboard.
Is there a way of overriding this so that a conventional QWERTY layout can be used?
      Thanks.

I have noticed after owning 5 of your tv's that hardly any of the UK tv apps are being released, no quest app, no blaze tv app, just to mention a couple, they are all available on android and ios, its starting to put me off LG tv's, about time your started developing apps for the UK or switch the tv's over to android if you cant be bothered
