Flash player in browser

Shebs

Question

Hi all,

New to the forum. I have the 55inch 850T. No flash player support. Scanned the net and found this.

link hidden, please login to view

They have an IPK for flash player. Is it possible to use this for LGTV?

I am not a tech person and have no idea about these things. So if its a stuoid and rubbisb suggestion please just ignore me.

Many thanks

Cheers

No, it's impossible, and the ipk you say is not for Smart TV or LG WebOs, it's for PALM PRE and will not work with LG WebOS, Flash Player is not available on WebOS because ADOBE doesn't want to provide it for WebOS, LG Netcast has Flash Player 10 because ADOBE provided them, and it's a outdated version, so ADOBE cannot provide them a outdated version and doesn't want to provide the latest, some day amybe it will be availabe, LG sayed me that i can talk to ADOBe and see if they can help, if we all complain to adoble, they will provide us flash player for the WebOS. Hope it helped, 1 like also helps me.

Videos from certain websites are unable to play on browser after latest update to webOS 5.50.55. In the first image there should be a play icon on the video player

When I try to watch replay or live TV from Belgian casts in the browser I have error messages:
      - for Auvio (RTBF) it is purely incompatible
      - for RTLPlay , the message says that the browser version is too old and has to be updated.
      But...
It is impossible to install alternative browser on LG smart TV, or to update the LG one.
WebOS is not really a good idea, or at least it should be more "open" for the apps that are not proposed or updated.
I know it is possible to share from other machines (tablet, phone or computer) but I want to use my TV "alone" too!
Do you have a solution (other then buying a chromecast or equivalent device?)
      Thank you

      Hi
In the media player, it is quite difficult to see which item is selected.
Would it be possible to do something to make the selected item more distinguishable like putting a border around it?
      Thanks
      Matt
