2 HMDI channels using Dual Play feature, 2 people watch a different channel.

I really would like to see the feature to watch 2 HDMI channels at the same time.

One with headset, and one on speakers (or two headsets)

This would solve a lot of frustation in families, like one person wants to play a game and the other wants to watch TV etc.

Obvioulsy you would need two HDMI sources. TV decoder, media-player, game console, blu-ray player ....

If you want a marketing name, you can call it Dual Watch ;)

With 4K TV's you wouldn't even lose resolution on your two 1080p signals.

Thanks !!

The problem is how would they route the audio splitting through TV .

Hdmi2.0 has dual audio bandwidth I suppose.

Still it is a welcome feature & do I say it would be flagship killer feature among smart TVs.

The audio is really a barrier, but this feature would be a dream!

For many cases (mine) an option to choose the primary sound source already will solve.

My wife could watch TV and I could play with a headset on the game console.

This feature is a must for 2 games consoles on same screen for online multiplayer with the wife!

Guess it would be like the Picture in picture mode as a 50/50 split and have the dual play option on.

Sound is tricky maybe have one go to headphones via audio jack or Bluetooth headphones?

Me too, I only signed up to express that it would be a great feature and to share some info: on AVS forum Nilzilla found a device that could be doing exactly the trick what we  were looking for: the synchronization and side by side packing of the 2 pictures from different sources:

The device he proposed has resolution limitations, but we could get together and link up a 4K multiviewer with a dual play screen and give it a shot!

Could someone from LG please test it and verify if it worked? If nothing else but this could bring back the reason for passive 3D on a 4K.. I would be willing (any time) to pay 10-15% premium on a 3K+ OLED 65 inch 4 K TV. LG please take heed and action!

There is a device on eBay for £80

link hidden, please login to view

its demonstrated on YouTube by this guy as having a shared 50/50 splitscreen side by side

ive looked a fair bit for better devices and can only find 1080p output for devices at this price point. I don't think 1080p will be an issue anway because I am pretty certain my tv can't output 2160p (4k) to both dual play glasses. It's probably outputting 1080p or 1440p to each eye in in 3D or each pair of glasses in dual play

if I'm playing PS4 with my wife this wont be a problem but when I want to put my PS4 pro on by itself and have higher res I'll probabaly use a splitter to another input on my TV
