Sling TV is my default app on my LG TV.   Everything  was working fine until today.  Now when I hit the HOME button on the remote, the TV correctly returns to the HOME page, but then immediately re-launches Sling TV before I have an opportunity to select a different app (for example, Netflix).   This cycle repeats itself every time I enter HOME while in the Sling TV app.  The only way I can return to HOME without Sling TV automatically relaunching is to manually select a different input (e.g., HDMI one or LIVE Team), and then enter HOME and it will correctly stay in HOME until another app is selected.  I've tried resetting the TV  and I've tried deleting/adding Sling TV.  I have the latest WebOS update.  This may have started after downloading a recent Sling TV app?  Not sure.  Any suggestions appreciated.

I just bought a lg b7 oled and have a problem. I dont subscribe to cable so I wont ever be using it on this tv. Every time I start the tv it loads the OS and the cable-less static comes on the screen and BLASTS through the speakers. The tiles for netflix, hulu, etc are at the bottom so I choose one of those. How do I stop the tv from defaulting to turning on the "tv" that clearly doesnt exist? Ive tried deleting the tile for live tv, and even moving it to the far right side but still every time I turn n the tv - static with the menu on the bottom.

LG OLED Continues Long-Standing History of Honors at
       World’s Preeminent Consumer Technology Show

SEOUL, Jan. 14, 2022 – LG Electronics USA swept up a grand collection of CES® awards at the 2022 event across its home appliance, home entertainment and business solutions categories. In all, LG tallied approximately 150 awards and accolades from various publications covering the first-ever physical/virtual hybrid CES event.
Among the top honors earned were 24 CES Innovation Awards and the 2022 CES Editor’s Choice awards from USA TODAY’s consumer product reviews division, Reviewed. LG was recognized as the most-awarded brand by USA TODAY/Reviewed with LG’s OLED evo C2 Series, PuriCare AeroTower, DualUp Monitor, Soundbar S95QR and Washer and Dryer Pair earning recognition based on four key criteria: innovation, technology, design and value.
As a pioneer and global leader in OLED technology, it comes as no surprise that LG’s newest range of OLED TVs continued their CES dominance as one of, if not the most-awarded TVs at CES again this year. LG OLED TVs took home top-tier awards and honors for picture quality, performance and new screen sizes. LG’s new 42-inch OLED evo C2 Series and 97-inch OLED evo Gallery Edition G2 Series, both featuring LG’s OLED evo technology, were among the highly recognized TV models that collected honors from industry-leading publications such as Business Insider, Mashable and Gear Patrol. The Verge additionally showcased LG’s 42-inch OLED evo C2 Series in its Best of CES Awards 2022 noting it to be one of the staff’s favorite announcements.
Garnering accolades from top publications such as Best Products, Tom’s Guide and Business Insider, LG’s PuriCare AeroTower was widely recognized for being one of the most exciting products of CES 2022 on behalf of its home appliance offerings. LG’s Washer and Dryer Pair – its newest laundry solution that features LG’s enhanced Artificial Intelligence Direct Drive (AI DD) – was also recognized by leading lifestyle publications such as Good Housekeeping and Veranda.

      Hello,

I am trying to watch NBA matches at my TV, and i have nba pass subsrciption. It appears that my country is not eligible and there is no nba app at the lg store.
When i login to my account through the webos broswer , when i try to watch a game, i get the message "download the app", and the link takes me to other apple store.
I tried to watch through airplay (either from my macbook or my iphone), but when i connect to airplay, the screen gets black. I guess that is something with nba sharing rights etc, because with other apps it works fine.

has anybody find any solution to this?

Some time ago after an update to my TV, whenever I switch it on it has an annoying strip across the bottom of the screen, The strip features buttons for various terrestrial channels and also for streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime.
Since I have no use for this strip whatsoever, the first thing that I do is to close it down. I have to wait about 5 seconds though. During that time the tv won't respond to any input other than the volume control.
After the 5 seconds is up I am able to close it down and then for example, change the channel I want. At that point all's good until next time I switch on the tv when I have to go through the same rigmarole.
Can anyone here please tell me that it's possible to disable this thing? I've looked but can find no means of disabling it.
      Thanks,
      Orson
