Messaging - Google VoiceSynergGV 2, by Eric Blade, allows you to send and receive Google Voice messages directly in the stock Messaging app on your TouchPad (or

link hidden, please login to view
), but has a pretty big limitation in that you can only initiate a conversation to someone in your Google Voice contacts list or by manually typing in the entire phone number. If you keep all your contacts in Google, this is a nonissue, but if you use your Palm Profile or Facebook to keep track of phone numbers, you are out of luck. That is, unless you know a little trick to initiate a conversation to anyone in your contact list, regardless of which synergy account they reside in.

Unfortunately, you can not use to search for your contact, nor can you open an existing conversation with that contact.  In addition, this new Google Voice messaging conversation that you are about to create will not be integrated into that existing conversation like all other do, but will rather remain as a separate thread unless and until you add that contact and their associated phone number to your Google contacts.  Regardless, to send the Google Voice message to any contact, just follow the directions below

  1. Open up the Messaging app
  2. Tap the new SMS icon to create a new message
  3. Do a and then tap on the number you want to send a Google Voice message to.
  4. You will see that the contact's name, and not their number, should be listed in the "To" field.  Tap on that name to display the number.
    • On the TouchPad, the number should be highlighted. Tap at the end of the number to place the cursor at the end of the number and then press the space bar
    • On phones, the cursor should already be at the beginning of the number. Just press the space bar once
  5. Once you do that, the number will no longer be associated with your contact, but instead webOS will just think that it’s a number you manually entered. All you need to do is tap the SynerGV2 messaging icon icon in the "IM WITH "(XXX) XXX-XXXX" USING" to address your Google Voice message with that contact

As stated above, if you don't want to go through this hassle you just need to to your Google account and you should be able message with them directly in the future. Note, though, that this will not be available immediately as you need to wait for webOS to sync back between your Google and Google Voice accounts before it will show in your SynerGV account on your device.

is available in the webOS App Catalog for $4.99 and is compatible with all webOS devices running webOS 3.0 or higher. If you know how to use , you can install SynerGV on devices running 2.1 or higher after it was purchased on a TouchPad.

I recently updated the firmware on my  LG43UH610V.  Now I constantly get "Wired Lan cable disconnected" / "Wired network is connected" messages even while watching a video file from my NAS. The TV is connected and using the network while getting these messages. It has always been on a fixed IP address on the LAN.

Is it just me or is the plex app just unusable on webos.  When I try to select dvr items with the magic remote they just don’t play.  I am not sure if this is a plex issue or an lg webos issue.  Anyone know which it is?

I’ve tried Google, Facebook, and Amazon. All 3 have a blank black screen, no sign in rendered.

I’ve tried a manual login. Tells me to use google. I created an iCloud account to log in. I can log into LGs website. I cannot sign into the TV with the newly created email. It says there’s a temporary problem.

      Hello,
I connected an hard drive to my LG OLED TV via USB. My TV is connected to my home network via Ethernet, as is my computer.
I would like to access the hard disk from my computer. Is this possible? How can I do this with Windows 10?
Note that I don't want to connect my hard drive directly to my computer but to my TV (because my home network is quite unstable).
I thank you in advance for all your help.

We just purchased a new LG WebOS TV OLED 65" and running the setup through the app or the TV remote says it can't load the user agreement. This is blocking us from getting to streaming apps like Nexflix or any smart functions like Voice assistant.
TV worked fine for a few days but voice assistant stopped working and after much effort LG tech said to  Reset to Initial Settings. Now we have mentioned no smart functions. TV is on ethernet and its browser functions on web fine. Tried running off neighbor's wifi with same results.
Tried switching to different country, unplugging/hold power button for 20 seconds/wait one minute,  resetting TV multiple times, setting up remote again, ...
Error message: Unable to Load User Agreements  A server error has occurred while downloading  the User Agreements. You must download and agree to the terms of the User Agreements to use this feature or application. Do you want to try to download them again… Unable to Load User Agreements  Sorry, but the User Agreements  can't be downloaded at this time…Please check your internet connection and try again later.    No change when trying over five days.
Now there is no local company available to service TV. Maybe it's time to send it back and give LG TV a one star rating. I am willing to change motherboards but doubt if LG would go along with that.
      Anyone have any ideas.
