The bad news is the old TV don't get to upgrade. I, as many others, got stuck with WebOS 1.0. I don't believe the 2015 TV's will get the 3.0 upgrade neither. TV companies are so bad at firmware upgrade. Why don't they just use AndroidTV. Let Google do all the development.

With a magic remote you can press the 123- input button and change the sound output. This is quicker.
Excellent! That's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!

It has always been inconvenience to change Sound Out on LG WebOS TV. The new firmware, 05.00.04, has added another step to get to the Sound Out menu. Is there a shortcut/hotkey to get to the Sound Out quicker?

It's not working for my HTC One m9 neither. I'm very disappointed to WebOS or LG tv. The work around is to use ChromeCast.

Yeah, only work with LG Bluetooth headphones is a problem. The LG headphone is so bad on power indicator. When you turn on, it tells you either "power high" or "power medium". There is no "power low". But then just when it's about to run out, it tells you "power is VERY low. charge now". You can't charge and use it that the same time. How about tell more useful power usage, like "power 40% full" and say it when you power off, so that I can charge it while not being used.
For the TV, I agree with all the users above. I need to support standard 3rd party headphone. I previously owned a few bluetooth headphones but I had to purchased a stupid LG headphones in order to use it.

4. Not yet. I cold not test but on other forums there were reports that there is no BT Headphone pairing option.
I found a section from online helps where it show the TV does support BT Headset under Home -> Sound -> Sound Out -> LG Sound Sync (Wireless). There you supposes to be able to pair up with BT headsets. However, the ones lists by LG are only the LG BT headsets. I tried with my LogiTech BT headsets but it couldn't pair up. This is really suck because it only works with LG headsets.

Just got a new 49UB8500 and I have a few questions.
- I was able to program the remote to work with my DirecTV set top box. But when I send audio out to my stereo via Optical, can I program my Magic Remote to control the volume on my stereo?
- When changing audio output, I have to click on Home -> Settings -> Sound -> Sound out -> select. Is there a quicker way?
- When click Home, there are so many items in the bottom of the screen: Today, Netflix, Hulu Plus, Vudu..... Is there a way to hide the ones I don't have?
- Does this TV work with Bluetooth headphones?
47LB650V: How can I turn off subtitles in MKV file?

The default on subtitle is on your mkv file itself. You can use mvkmerge (MKVToolNix) to change default to no subtitle.
