  1. Agree. Lousy apps in LG Store. Better to buy TV with built in Android TV like Sony TV. Also my $USD 3,000.00 TV is stuck with obsolete webos2.5.. I would have expected them offer a webos 3.0 upgrade so that I can at least do 4K DLNA on 4K TV. This is my last LG TV.
  2. I have the same problem. That is why I will never buy a LG or Samsung tv with a proprietary os. Either buy one with android tv that allows a wide set of apps or supports the update of the OS itself such as Sony TVs with android. Otherwise buy a dumb tv and get a Roku or Android box to make it smart. There are other issues with the apps. For example whenever start a new netflix movie or a DLNS movie there is sound surge on my AV receiver which could damage my speakers. Again LG is not going to fix the OS, the netflix app or the DLNA app to fix this problem. hence safer to go with Sony Android as it will get updates and has a richer set of apps.
  3. +1 This would also fix any limitations in your DLNA app such as not being able to play 4k files in WebOS 2.5.
