When is LG going to update the WebOS browser?

YES!!!!! THIS THIS THIS Is there some kind of firmware update out there? This situation is really crazy for us LG smart TV owners. Constantly losing access to websites because the WebOS browser can never be updated.

How do I update the browser on my 2016 LG Smart TV?

My Chrome browser version is so old by now that it doesn't work well with many sites.. I don't see how I can update it, but I'm positive there must be a way. Any tips? How do I update my firmware as well?
