    Hello,

I'm experiencing something new here !?!

    I have an LG OLED 55 C7V.

I did NOT change my location or any parameters in the system of my TV but now when i launch YouTube App, i have some chinese Kanji in my YouTube vertical left menu.

My OS is up to date. My YouTube app is up to date.

    What is going WRONG ?

    Thanx for your answer

I am also facing the same issue. It is not getting fixed even after I reset the TV and installed YouTube app.

  2. I am using this LG TV 43UJ752T since May 2018 and I was able to play 4K HDR videos on youtube without any issues. I used to get 40 to 68 Mbps speed if I enable the "stats for nerds" option on youtube app.

But after this webOS 6.0 update.. I am able to see only 12 to 22 Mbps speed and the 4K videos on youtube started buffering a lot. The buffer health is now 2 seconds .. but before it was 8 to 15 seconds.

in my laptop and other devices I am getting 120Mbps speed. There is no problem with my wifi router and I have tried to connect the TV with 5GHz band.. But the wifi speed issue remains same on TV.

Caution: Please dont enable automatic updates on your webOS TV.

    Hi Deepak,

In regards to Google.com if you are referring to "We have detected you are running an older version of Chrome" this is because the website is not detecting the browser correctly, but it is identifying that it is based on WebKit, which is is as is Chrome, Safari the upcoming Internet Explorer et al.  Because sometimes Google, although doing its best not to be evil, does get some things wrong.

True. But I am expecting the OpenSource WebBrowser "Chromium" in WebOS

While I can understand frustration for lack of updates, keep in mind that there are a lot of TV models each with separate capabilities and specifications. Some may lend themselves to being upgradable while others may be unable.

It does cost money to support TVs and electronics. At some point there is an End Of Life (support) that companies have to consider.

A similar comparison could be made to Android or iOS devices which are no longer able to be upgraded to a new OS version. While it may be possible in some ways to move around some of these limitations, there is a risk.

@ebresie Yeah .. understandable .. Its like an iPhone.. You can't simply install any other custom OS in it as we do for Android Devices. Because, unlike Android devices, Apple Products and LG products which uses WebOS are designed not to support any other custom OS. Though WebOS is beased on Linux.
