PreCentral: New webOS Meet Ups

Recommended Posts

webOS Meetup via Google chrome

The forecasters say it’s supposed to be a warmer summer than usual, and it looks like the same for webOS meet ups. Armed with new tools to make developing and porting apps even easier, it would only seem appropriate to share the news with other webOS lovers in your area. There’s a lot to talk about, too. From our new developer leader, Enda McGrath who is actually been with the company longer than some of the CEOs of late, to our own Jason Robitaille joining the Enyo team. And with the news of new developer tools making their way into the webOS developer center, and the tidbits of news streaming in, we can’t think of a better way to celebrate . Hey tidbits are better than none. But there are few other things worth swinging by for…

At selected meet ups there will be drawings for TouchPads, Pre 3’s, Veers and other accessories. Along with good food, friendly banter, and free Wi-Fi to use with your new toy. There will also be promo codes from the best app developers given away, as well as round table discussions and app building techniques discussed. Sounds inviting doesn’t it? You bet it does! So point your mouse to that address bar and head on over to the palm developer center and register to an event in your area and check out the ones below. Come and join the best community anywhere for the fun and prizes.

So wake up the wife and kids, bring your laptop cords and ideas. This my friends is just the beginning.

I hope disney plus comes out in lg tvs.  Its supposed to launch November 12th in the US for $6.99 a month or $69.99 a year. They also said there will be a $12.99-per-month trio bundle of Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ that is coming. I'm already doing espn for $4.99, I may do the entire bundle to get hulu also, not sure, At the minimum, I am definitely going to get Disney plus

    • Apple TV 4K Issues with LG UJ7700 WebOS 3.5

I'm not sure if this is an LG or Apple issue, or if I have to try a different HDMI cable (the package says it's the latest standard) but here's what I've seen so far: I have the AppleTV 4k using Dolby Vision which looks great. 1. When using the AppleTV remote to turn on the AppleTV and LG TV (using LG Simplink), sometimes the video signal is messed up – it's blurry and out of sync. Changing the input to Live TV and then back to the AppleTV fixes it. Sometimes it just works right away.
