PreCentral: webOS apps for designers

webOS apps for designers

Form, function, color, and style are the hallmarks of great design. If great designers like Jamie Drake or Candice Olsen lacked one of these components they would not have created the show-stopping designs we’ve come to admire. And with that, so many are people glued to their TVs addicted to HGTV, Fine Living and the DIY Network trying to figure out how to bring that inspiration to life in their own homes. And let’s face it, we didn’t win the lottery, nor do we have the Kardashian’s bankroll to acquire a designer of that caliber. So how does the average person find the tools to make their dreams come true within the budgets they have? With our trust TouchPad by our side, we set out to see what apps are out there to inspire your inner designer and bring your ideas to life.

FYI: while researching some other LG mysteries, I came across this GREAT site with VERY good visuals explaining the different model numbering schemes for all the older and newer LG models.
This goes from 2011 through to 2020, and is very comprehensive and easy to understand, so hats off to whoever put this all together:

      Hello,
It would be a great addition if OLED TVs had more options for subtitles color: like a dark gray, a very dark gray and maybe a transparency setting also. As it currently stands the subtitles ruin the watching experience a bit because they're too bright on HDR content :( The gray option nearly identical to white.
Also support for more subtitle formats such as PGS would be great, it would remove the need to have an external device for video playback and improve the overall experience.
      Regards
      Luís

For anyone that has browsed the LG website, you may have noticed random links to LG's feedback form which is powered by CVENT. The direct link is below:

      TV 2017 49UJ6500

The default setting operation gives "Auto" energy saving mode for SDR programming
and energy saving "Off" for HDR.   Switching back and forth between SDR and HDR programming will engage these
      energy saving modes automatically
However, if you assign a different mode (minimum, medium, etc) to either HDR or SDR programming no matter the source,
this mode becomes the setting for ALL sources- and the original operation cannot be recovered (automatic switching between
SDR and HDR) UNTIL, either you reset the whole TV, or you reset the A/V using the mute button 3 times

I don't know if this has been fixed in newer firmware / newer TV's, but it is something I would check before ever purchasing another
      LG TV
If anybody has noticed this and has more info, please respond
