SEOUL, April 26, 2022 — LG Electronics (LG) has announced the global launch of its 2022 LG gram lineup of premium laptops. Ideal for a wide variety of users, the new models continue the brand’s legacy of supreme portability with sleek, ultra-light designs while adopting innovative software and the latest hardware to deliver even more power and convenience.

The 2022 LG gram lineup features seven new models: gram 17 (17Z90Q), gram 16 (16Z90Q), gram 15 (15Z90Q), gram 14 (14Z90Q), gram 2-in-1 (16T90Q and 14T90Q) and the series’ first-ever portable monitor, +view for LG gram (16MQ70). Each new LG gram laptop provides powerful performance backed by a 12th Gen Intel® Core™ processor. This year’s laptops have also been upgraded to the latest Gen4 NVMe™ SSD, and employ low-voltage LPDDR5 RAM to achieve a performance boost of around 22 percent compared to 2021 gram models.1 Intel® Evo™ Platform certified, the 2022 LG grams guarantee excellent battery life, giving users the freedom to work or play, wherever their day takes them.

LG’s premium laptops are synonymous with superb picture quality, and its newest offerings serve as a strong reminder of why. Featuring 16:10 aspect ratio, WQXGA (2,560 x 1,600) resolution IPS panels,2 the new grams provide sharp, vibrant images with high brightness, 99 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, and plenty of screen real estate to meet users’ diverse productivity and entertainment needs. What’s more, LG’s advanced IPS displays are now anti-glare,3 reducing distracting reflections and making it easier for users to see what they’re working on, regardless of ambient light conditions.

2022 LG gram laptops elevate the user experience with LG Glance by Mirametrix®, an innovative AI-based software solution that enhances security and convenience. LG Glance by Mirametrix® automatically locks the screen if the user steps away from their laptop.4 It also alerts the user and blurs the content they are working on if someone is peeking at the screen from over their shoulder.5 Conveniently, if a separate monitor is connected, the mouse cursor and the window currently being used automatically move to whichever screen the user is looking at. Additionally, this year’s models offer an optimized environment for video conferencing with features such as face log-in, AI-noise cancelling and a built-in Full HD webcam.

The latest grams remain true to the brand’s core identity, delivering compact, ultra-lightweight designs without sacrificing durability or performance. With their 4-way super-slim bezel design, each model offers an excellent screen-to-body ratio and is rugged enough to meet the U.S. military’s stringent MIL-STD-810G standard. On top of that, all 2022 LG gram products ship in eco-conscious packaging that presents thoughtful reusability after unboxing – cleverly converting to a desk calendar and pencil holder.

Versatile devices that enable users to switch between laptop and tablet in seconds, the new 16- and 14-inch LG gram 2-in-1 models come with pre-installed drawing and notetaking applications optimized for the LG Stylus Pen (Wacom AES 2.0). With the combination of smoothly integrated stylus support and LG’s AI-based user interface, the latest gram convertibles offer greater work efficiency as well as a responsive and enjoyable writing and sketching experience.

This year’s gram lineup also welcomes the +view for LG gram, a portable 16-inch monitor with detachable cover that connects via USB-C to extend the digital workspace. The 16MQ70 can be placed next to a laptop in horizontal or vertical orientation,6 and is a perfect match for LG gram 16; combining to provide a seamless look and a 32:10 aspect ratio IPS canvas for advanced multitasking.

“The 2022 gram series honors the brand’s identity and heritage with supreme portability, outstanding performance and optimized user experiences,” said Seo Young-jae, senior vice president and head of the IT business unit of LG Electronics Business Solutions Company. “Ideal for dynamic people on the move, LG gram products are designed to maximize productivity no matter where you are or what you’re working on.”

The global rollout of the 2022 LG gram lineup will start from the second quarter with availability at key markets in North America, Europe and Asia.

Featuring a 21:9 Aspect Ratio Screen, LG’s Latest Smart Monitor Is Perfect
      for Productivity and Entertainment

SEOUL, July 24, 2024 — LG Electronics (LG) is launching its latest LG MyView Smart Monitor (model 34SR65QC),1 a 34-inch display with a unique form factor and a range of features for better productivity and entertainment experiences. This marks the company’s first smart monitor featuring a curved, 21:9 aspect ratio UltraWide screen, offering an expansive desktop display solution for customers seeking improved workflow, enhanced viewing immersion or both.
The newly-released LG MyView Smart Monitor boasts a 34-inch WQHD (3,440 x 1,440) resolution2 VA panel, delivering 300 nits of brightness, a wide viewing angle and 99 percent coverage of the sRGB color gamut. These specifications, combined with the screen’s 21:9 format, make the LG MyView an excellent ‘side-by-side’ desktop companion for office workers, developers and other digital professionals.
The 34SR65QC facilitates greater work efficiency courtesy of its elongated, high-resolution display, useful screen-organization features and support for various home-office apps. The 21:9 UltraWide display provides additional screen-space, allowing users to keep multiple tabs and windows open at the same time and arrange them optimally using the built-in Screen Split function. What’s more, users can take advantage of apps such as mail, online document editors and cloud storage directly on the monitor without having to connect to a PC or laptop. The extra width of the 34SR65QC enables users to operate productivity apps in full screen (16:9) mode and still have enough room for helpful generative AI tools, which can be conveniently pinned to the right-hand part of the display in a smaller-sized (5:9) window.
The 34SR65QC is also ideal for those seeking a movie theater-like experience at home. Its UltraWide display allows users to enjoy 21:9 content as it was meant to be seen, eliminating the letter-boxing needed to preserve the aspect ratio on conventional 16:9 monitors. This new model is the first in the LG MyView lineup to allow the streaming of video captured in the 21:9 format, bringing a cinematic feel to broadcast content and giving users a real sense of being part of the action.
Like all LG MyView Smart Monitors, the 34SR65QC comes equipped with the LG webOS platform, which provides access to a wide range of content services including Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video, along with personalized viewing recommendations and intuitive navigation. For even more superb content options, users can head to LG Channels – LG’s free, premium content service – and browse more than 300 channels3 spanning categories such as movies, news, sports, drama and children’s programming. Additionally, with AirPlay 24 and ScreenShare5 support, users can stream or mirror content from their smartphones, enjoying all their go-to mobile apps and games on the monitor’s large, curved screen.
The 34SR65QC comes with a handy remote that provides basic functions such as power and volume control. It is also compatible with the LG Magic Remote,6 which delivers user-friendly features such as AI Concierge and one-touch access to popular streaming services including Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+. The AI Concierge, activated by pressing the Magic Remote’s microphone button, recognizes different voices and recommends content based on each user’s viewing history.
Furthermore, once LG MyView Smart Monitor has been connected to the LG ThinQ smart home platform, the ThinQ app can transform the user’s smartphone into a remote offering both touch- and voice-control capabilities. For additional convenience, users can manage monitor settings and navigate and search webOS using a keyboard and mouse.
“By expanding the LG MyView Smart Monitor lineup with our new 34-inch curved UltraWide model, we are providing consumers with a comprehensive productivity and entertainment solution,” said YS Lee, vice president and head of the IT business unit of LG Business Solutions Company. “We will continue to introduce versatile smart monitors that combine innovative designs with premium performance and practical features.”
LG MyView Smart Monitor is launching globally starting in the U.S and Korea in August, with availability in other markets to follow soon after.

1 LG MyView Smart Monitor is available in two versions: one offering tilt- and height-adjustability (model 34SR65QC) and one providing tilt-adjustability (model 34SR60QC). All other technical specifications, features and capabilities are common to both versions.
2 Wide Quad High Definition resolution.
3 Channel and program availability on LG Channels may differ by region.
4 To use AirPlay and HomeKit with this monitor, the latest version of iOS, iPadOS or macOS is recommended.
5 Supported on Android or Windows 8.1 and above.

Cutting-Edge Displays and Management Solutions for Diverse Sectors

SEOUL, June 12, 2024 — LG Electronics (LG) is participating in InfoComm 2024, North America’s largest professional audiovisual tradeshow, taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada, from June 12-14. Inside a vast, 225-square-meter exhibition booth, the company is showcasing its latest AI-enhanced digital display solutions for B2B environments, including retail, corporate and education.
Among the highlights of LG’s InfoComm 2024 exhibit is a next-generation Micro LED display which is being unveiled to the public for the first time. Scheduled to launch by the end of this year, the newly-announced model employs AI technology to enhance picture quality and all-around performance.
LG’s Micro LED display utilizes tiny LED chips, measuring approximately 16 micrometers wide by 27 micrometers long – to deliver high contrast, bold colors and exceptional detail. The company’s sophisticated AI technology is used to produce and precisely evaluate the chips, 25 million of which are integrated into the 136-inch model. Additionally, the display itself leverages LG’s AI processor to analyze the brightness and tone of the LED chips in real time, automatically calibrating them to achieve the best picture quality possible.
Visitors to LG’s booth can also explore the convenience-enhancing signage display software available through
link hidden, please login to view, the company’s exclusive B2B online software platform. These include the LG DOOH Ads commercial display advertising solution, LG SuperSign Cloud content management solution, and the LG ConnectedCare real-time monitoring and remote-control solution. Each suite of software helps to maximize the efficient usage of LG’s commercial display solutions and expand the customer experience.  In addition, LG is demonstrating its security system, LG Shield, at InfoComm 2024. The ideal tool for an era in which security has become more important than ever, the system is able to protect central servers, apps and operating systems from a broad spectrum of cyber threats. LG Shield has attained several international security certifications, including Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level 2 (CC EAL2) certification and the OpenChain security assurance specification (ISO/IEC 18974:2023).
Also on show is an advanced AI advertising solution, presented by LG in collaboration with its partners, which can display ads tailored to various audiences.
Furthermore, the LG booth features a comprehensive lineup of display solutions optimized for corporate environments. These include the LG MAGNIT, which now features a 144Hz variable refresh rate (VRR). Courtesy of this new upgrade, users can enjoy high-quality video content without the distraction of screen-tearing or stuttering. As certified by TÜV Rheinland, the LG MAGNIT delivers excellent low-grayscale performance, boasting outstanding image clarity and enabling users to see more vividly what’s happening during the darkest scenes. The display is also certified for color consistency over a wide viewing angle.
LG MAGNIT also has earned certifications regarding product- and user-safety in the installation environment. LG’s display complies with the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) regulatory standards for electromagnetic compatibility and has earned a Class-1 rating in the British Standards Institution (BSI) Surface Spread of Flame Test (BS476 Part7). It also comes with Eye Comfort certification from TÜV Rheinland for its low blue-light emissions.

With its sleek, user-friendly design, the display has received prestigious industrial design accolades, such as a 2024 Red Dot Design Award and a 2024 iF Design Award.
Other impressive products presented by LG at this year’s InfoComm include 171-inch LED signage and 105-inch digital signage display featuring a 21:9 aspect ratio. Suitable for video conference calls, the super-sized screens enable users to display multiple pieces of visual information simultaneously, making it possible to share a wealth of data or video feeds from a large number of conference participants. Additional displays include LG CreateBoard, a digital whiteboard that promotes interactive learning and collaboration in both classrooms and workplaces. Google Mobile Services-certified, LG CreateBoard enables users to seamlessly integrate with the Google ecosystem by connecting their Google accounts.
Visitors can also see LG’s solutions for the digitalized retail environment, including digital menu boards and standing displays designed for drive-through restaurants and stores. The company’s solutions provide excellent visibility outdoors thanks to their high-brightness displays, and increased durability due to the implementation of technology that protects against screen-yellowing from prolonged exposure to sunlight.
“Featuring an array of AI-powered digital display solutions for B2B customers, LG’s showcase at InfoComm 2024 reveals a strong commitment to advancing the technology, and to meeting the unique display needs of diverse sectors,” said Paik Ki-mun, head of the Information Display business unit at LG Business Solutions Company.

In the third episode of the ‘Customers at Heart’ series, we take a look at how LG India created a customized care solution to innovate the customer experience.
LG India, a subsidiary of LG, is unique among its global counterparts as it independently manages sales, installation, repair and maintenance. Leveraging this autonomy, LG India has enhanced customer satisfaction and boosted sales through LG BEST Care, a service extending the warranty period of home appliances, including regular maintenance and cleaning.

Prior to LG BEST Care, LG India offered product care services under LG CareShip, which included routine visits and complimentary filter changes. However, a challenge was that 99% of customers only signed up for the service when they needed it, rather than at the point of purchase. This realization prompted efforts to improve customer engagement and revenue generation.

LG India aspires to conduct regular product inspections by experts to ensure that purchased products are in optimal condition, especially for customers who want to ensure peak product performance throughout the entire period of use. In order to do this, LG India came up with three key customer experience innovations.
The first looked to expand the range of customer choices, broadening the range of CareShip sales channels and products. The second aimed to improve customer impression services, where detailed plans were developed to differentiate the installation and repair experience. The last considered how to create an easy and convenient CareShip management system with customer convenience in mind.

To implement these new services, LG India analyzed data from its 50 million customers based on product type and usage period. This data-driven approach led to the expansion of sales channels and the creation of new care packages tailored to customer demand.
The company has also enriched the customer experience with discount promotions, a wider selection of choices and the introduction of LG SUPER Service – a unique local package offering superior service quality.
LG BEST Care further reflects customer needs by bringing ease and convenience to CareShip’s management system. Services are now automated with a systemized schedule for regular visits. In addition, LG India has increased the number of dedicated care professionals and uses Net Promoter Score to identify and address negative feedback on CareShip products.

These enhancements have yielded impressive results. The number of care products increased from three to ten types, offering a more diverse range of services. The rate of same-day installations and repairs has improved from 66.5 percent to 70.4 percent with SUPER Service. Consequently, LG BEST Care has experienced rapid growth in both customer base and revenue. LG India aims to continue this momentum into 2024 by setting regional monthly goals.
Stay tuned for the next episode of ‘Customers at Heart,’ where we’ll visit another global LG office to discover more innovative customer experience strategies.

In 2023, that number had risen to a remarkable 27 percent, leading to the laptop market’s steady growth and an expected compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.0 percent in 2024. Laptop consumption is expected to continue on this strong trajectory in the coming years.*

To reinforce its foothold in this vital market, LG Taiwan recently held the LG gram 2024 Series Launch Event at Zhuori Coffee Shop in Taipei. The event, which was presented in the form of a light teatime talk session, invited journalists and editors, especially those who contribute to media platforms frequented by digital creators, business professionals and freelancers – the people who stand to benefit the most from the gram’s unparalleled versatility to the unique showcase.

The event showcased two key areas: the LG gram highlight zone and the demonstration zone, where the spotlight shone on the key features of the 2024 lineup. Among them were the powerful gram Link, seamlessly integrated AI capabilities, energy-efficient performance and meticulously crafted lightweight designs, all tailored to elevate communication across diverse scenarios. Boasting a harmonious blend of power and portability, the LG gram series’ ultra-lightweight laptops combine high-end specifications with exceptionally slim yet durable designs and all-day battery life.

Guests were able to experience each laptop from the latest gram series, including LG gram, LG gram Pro, LG gram Pro 2-in-1 and LG gram Super Slim. The event was designed to allow them to immerse themselves fully in the exceptional usability of the product while receiving detailed explanations in person. What impressed them the most were the laptops’ outstanding portability, sleek styling and premium performance.

The devices on display left a lasting impression through their slim and lightweight designs, two aspects that have become synonymous with the LG gram brand. The hands-on experience with the touch display and Stylus pen of the LG gram Pro 2-in-1 convertible laptop, as well as features like LG gram Link and LG Glance by Mira-metrix, were particularly well received by event-goers.

With the Addition of a 5MP Diagnostic Monitor, Company’s Comprehensive Range of
Medical Monitors Now Boasts 13 Different Types of Display

SEOUL, Apr. 12, 2024 — LG Electronics (LG) is accelerating its B2B medical device business, leveraging a full lineup of diagnostic monitors including the new 21HQ613D which was recently cleared by FDA for sale in the United States. Designed specifically for digital mammography and breast tomosynthesis, the 21HQ613D is a 21.3-inch 5-megapixel (MP) IPS diagnostic monitor that delivers high-definition radiological images and maintains consistent image quality through its internal front calibration sensor and calibration software.
The 21HQ613D offers exceptional definition and brightness, its LG IPS display providing a resolution of 2,048 x 2,560, a luminance of 1100cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 1800:1. Suitable for reviewing various types of medical images, including breast MRIs, CT scans and ultrasound, the diagnostic monitor features an internal front sensor that removes the need for an external calibration device. With LG Calibration Studio Medical software, users can conveniently conduct DICOM calibration and quality assurance tests that comply with international quality control standards for medical monitors.
The 21HQ613D also incorporates helpful features to assist users in the close examination of medical images, such as Focus View Mode and Pathology Mode. Controllable with either a mouse or keyboard, Focus View Mode lets users focus in on a specific part of an image, dimming the rest of the screen in order to highlight the selected area. Pathology Mode provides image clarity and accuracy as if looking into a microscope. Additionally, Multi-Resolution Mode (5, 3 and 2MP) makes it possible to quickly adjust screen resolution to suit the type of image being viewed.
For a more productive and organized workspace, this diagnostic monitor supports daisy-chaining via DisplayPort connection. An easy and efficient way of linking monitors, daisy-chaining helps reduce desk clutter and simplify cable management. LG’s new diagnostic monitor also offers a comfortable user experience thanks to an ergonomic stand with adjustable tilt, height, swivel and bi-directional pivoting functionality.
The diagnostic monitor’s five hotkeys improve user convenience by providing a quick and simple way to adjust settings or switch between modes. Meanwhile, the Presence Sensor helps to conserve energy, automatically shutting off the display if no motion has been detected for five minutes. The Down Light and Wall Light features enable users to read documents when the room is dim or completely dark, the former illuminating the desk or table surface below the monitor and the latter casting light on the area behind it. For a better viewing experience, the Auto Luminance Sensor automatically adjusts screen brightness according to ambient conditions.
With the 21HQ613D, LG is targeting rapidly growing global demand for mammography monitors. According to an industry analysis report by Persistence Market Research, the global mammography market is projected to reach a valuation of USD 6.9 billion by 2023, with a CACR of 11.6% from 2023 to 2033.*
LG’s expanded lineup of diagnostic monitors covers the major display needs of large hospitals. Along with the new 5MP model, the company provides 3MP monitor – primarily used for reading radiological images – and 8MP and 12MP products equipped with PBP (Picture-by-picture) mode, which allows simultaneous review of multiple diagnostic images. In total, LG now offers 13 types of medical monitors, including 5 diagnostic monitors, 5 surgical monitors and 3 monitors for clinical use.
LG is committed to delivering advanced monitor solutions for the modern healthcare environment. In 2023, LG secured a significant contract with Centrale d’Achat de l’Informatique Hospitalière (CAIH), France’s hospital IT purchasing center, to provide a total of eight types of medical monitors. The contract, valued at EUR 10 million (approximately KRW 15 billion) over four years, represents the company’s largest agreement since entering the medical imaging device business in 2016.
“Designed for reviewing mammograms and breast tomosynthesis, LG’s new diagnostic monitor is a high-quality medical imaging display offering easy management and useful functionality,” said YS Lee, vice president and head of the IT business unit of LG Business Solutions Company. “We will continue to provide the medical sector with cutting-edge solutions leveraging our innovative display technologies.”
