PreCentral: App Giveaway: 50 copies of 'Ncognito

Recommended Posts

'Ncognito

We've all had that moment, where we want to keep that file or photo or video on our device, but we really don't want to be caught having it around (or just can't let it fall into the wrong hands). Natively, there's no way to really hide files on the TouchPad and yet still have them accessible. But with

you can do just that. The app creates a hidden folder into which you can put pictures, videos, audio files, and documents, all of which are only accessible through 'Ncognito's password-protected interface. The ability to store and hide files with 'Ncognito would normally cost you $0.99, but we just so happen to have 50 copies of it to give away!

Contest: We have 50 copies of 'Ncognito to give away. Just leave a comment on this post to enter. Contest ends next Sunday at midnight US Eastern Time, after which time we will select 50 random entrants to win. Please only leave one comment, multiple entries won’t count. Promo codes are only valid in countries serviced by the App Catalog, and users must be running webOS 3.0.0 or higher with the latest version of the App Catalog.

      Hello there,
Im quite perplexed. Im pretty well versed in IT and computers but can someone help me out here.

How the heck do I convert a recording from my LG Smart 4K TV into AVI or MP4 to play on my PC or in my car.
Its only video files at the end of the day.
      Suggestions PLEASE.

I am looking for an app that will allow me to play videos from a shared folder on another computer, something like VLC. Is there an app for the LG to do this? I haven't been able to find anything. I set up the Media Center on the other computer but it doesn't work right and can't see all the available videos. I just want to be able to browse a shared folder.

Our LG TV does not show files properly when a new file is added in a directory.
We have a Synology diskstation ethernet drive with DLNA and if we download a new file (in the dedicated download folder) or we copy a file from a PC to a folder, the file is not seen in the LG TV.
Sometimes it's there in few minutes, sometimes it's not visible for days! turn on&off is not working.
If we want to watch a video we need to load it on a USB stick, which is definitely not nice in 2019.
Looking at synology forums the DLNA file list should be automatically updated when a new file is added, is there any way to force refresh from LG app?

      Thanks
