A modern interior blended with sophisticated design and technology surrounded by nature creates the perfect environment to enjoy life. To create a home fitting for a premium lifestyle, LG Electronics Poland recently collaborated with architect and interior designer,

, whose aesthetics are best described as a combination of various forms, textures and materials inspired by contemporary design and, now, cutting-edge technology.

The project house of LG Poland and Paweł Jurkiewicz, a splendid mansion covering more than 1,000 square meters, is located on the bank of the . This iconic place features a curvaceous exterior design symbolizing the winding shape of the river. With its glass-paneled interior opening into the wilderness, the surrounding trees and meadows have been fully preserved while a swimming pool and running track were added to fit the lifestyle of the occupants.

“The biggest challenge was to balance modern architecture using concrete, steel and glass to create a warm, intimate atmosphere,” says Paweł Jurkiewicz. He began with natural materials, including dark oak, warm gray marble and soft beige tones while utilizing draped woolen curtains to knit it all together.

Jurkiewicz always opts for strong contrasts among elements to make the interior more significant and luxurious. “The striped black-and-white stone of the kitchen island and the smooth cobalt rug by in the living room give more personal touch. Also, they make the space look more elegant, relaxed and capacious,” says Jurkiewicz.

And, when selecting electronic devices to fill in the house, Jurkiewicz was seeking the ideal realization of the best performance, design and technology. He wanted products with best performance featuring beautiful, slim design that could fit perfectly into modern interiors, while also being friendly to nature.

To realize his vision, the designer worked with specialists from the LG Brand Store in Warsaw and chose eight different LG OLED TVs for the living room, bedrooms, study, gym and swimming pool. Thanks to LG’s self-lit OLED, LG OLED TVs can display content with infinite contrast, deep blacks and amazing colors. Also, the least harmful plastics are used in the production of LG OLED TVs, as confirmed by the SGS Eco Product certificate.

“For the huge living room, we opted for the 88-inch LG OLED TV from the premium SIGNATURE line. The perfect proportions and refined finish with the brushed steel housing harmoniously complements the luxurious décor,” adds Jurkiewicz. And, for the bedroom, the architect opted for the 65-inch OLED TV, set up on a retractable ceiling mount, so that the occupants can enjoy movies lying comfortably in their bed at night, while also enjoying the unobstructed sunlight in the morning.

“Throughout the collaboration with LG, I learned first-hand that technology can help designers actualize their vision. Therefore, designers must look for innovative solutions as I did, thanks to help from LG. Then, no design elements or user convenience have to be compromised in the process,” concludes Jurkiewicz.

SEOUL, Feb. 1, 2023 — LG Electronics (LG) is presenting its state-of-the-art kitchen and living appliance lineups at the 2023 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS), taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, from January 31 to February 2.
Under the theme of ‘Life on the UP,’ LG’s exhibit showcases the modern design and advanced technology of the company’s latest appliances while highlighting the personalized convenience they provide through the addition of ThinQ UP and ThinQ Care features – now available on LG’s premium built-in lineups for the very first time. Featuring eight unique zones, LG’s booth explores diverse consumer lifestyles and aesthetics with each zone representing a different, well-known American city, location or landmark, and each displaying a selection of new, cutting-edge LG appliances.
Visitors to KBIS 2023 can discover the latest premium kitchen solutions from luxury built-in brands, Signature Kitchen Suite and LG STUDIO, both of which offer the refined design and personalization options that today’s consumers want for their homes. The new Signature Kitchen Suite 48-inch built-in refrigerator comes in stainless steel or panel-ready option and boasts Signature Fit Integrated Design; enabling a seamless match with any interior décor and giving customers the choice of proud or flush installation.
Also on show at KBIS is LG’s new Signature Kitchen Suite 36-inch gas cooktop. The impressive appliance features five, powerful brass burners totaling 67,500 BTUs – including a 24,000-BTU* Ultra-High dual burner with a convertible wok grate – which is the most of any cooktop in the luxury kitchen category. For hassle-free cleanup, the Signature Kitchen Suite’s PowerSteam® dishwasher can complete a full cycle in less than one hour thanks to LG’s QuadWash Pro and Dynamic Heat Dry technologies, the latter of which circulates hot air throughout the appliance’s interior. The sleek, stainless steel dishwasher, which has ‘hidden’ controls located on top of its door, uses TrueSteam® to help remove caked-on food and reduce water spots, while QuadWash Pro uses high-pressure jets of water to clean dishware from multiple angles.
LG is also exhibiting its personalized living solutions at this year’s show, with ThinQ UP appliances such as the latest washer and dryer pair, a new minimalism concept kitchen appliances lineup, and lastly, the new MoodUP by LG STUDIO – a fridge with color-changing door panels (23 colors available for the upper panel and 19 for the lower) that can be easily controlled via the LG ThinQ app. ThinQ UP, which enables users to continuously upgrade their appliances with additional features, will soon be coming to LG’s built-in appliances – including the Signature Kitchen Suite and LG STUDIO lineup – as will ThinQ Care features designed to help users protect and get the most out of their LG solutions.

LG’s fine-pitch LED displays provide lifelike picture quality, while the seamless 90-degree corner design of the CUBE installation enhances the sense that one is looking at real, 3D objects inside an actual, physical space.

SEOUL, Jan. 17, 2023 — LG Electronics (LG) has announced the final winner of its LIFE’S GOOD AWARD, supporting global innovators taking on challenges to help create a Better Life for All. The Grand Prix was awarded to Dot Inc. from South Korea.
The jury ranked the final four teams after each of the teams pitched their innovative solutions in the award’s final round, held during the LIFE’S GOOD AWARD Conference at LG Sciencepark in Seoul, Korea, on January 16. LG’s own executives leading the company’s ESG management, CSO Lee Sam-soo and CTO Dr. Kim Byoung-hoon, were present as well.
The award embodies LG’s ESG vision of a Better Life for All, aiming to foster a brighter future for the planet and people. The company aimed to solicit ideas for environmental sustainability and accessibility, two key focuses of its long-term ESG initiative, the Better Life Plan 2030. The ingenious solutions presented by the four winners illustrate the power and potential of tech-for-good to spread positive impact on the world.
The winning teams are: Dot Inc. of South Korea (Grand Prix/USD 700,000 in prize money); SOLUTUM of Israel (Gold/USD 200,000); Day1Lab of South Korea (Silver/USD 100,000); and NONA Technologies of the United States (Bronze/USD 50,000).

SOLUTUM: developed a novel plastic material that dissolves in water at ambient temperature and then biodegrades leaving no microplastic or toxin residue. Day1Lab: created an organic polymer plastic which completely biodegrades in freshwater after about two weeks, and in the earth after about two months. NONA Technologies: developed a desalination solution leveraging Ion Concentration Polarization (ICP) to remove viruses, bacteria, salt and debris from water. Along with the final four teams, the LIFE’S GOOD AWARD Conference was graced by the esteemed members of the award’s jury, the LG’s Life’s Good Committee, consisting of the company’s executives and respected scholars in the area of responsible business management; Alex Edmans, a professor at London Business School, Christopher Marquis, a professor at Cambridge Judge Business School and Hyun S.
