Anyone seeking the best big-screen gaming experience need look no further than LG’s 2022 OLED TV lineup. With their self-lit pixels delivering ultra-fast response time and support for the latest gaming features, not to mention the latest PC hardware, consoles and cloud gaming services, LG’s advanced TVs take high-definition gaming to immersive new heights.

Over the years LG OLED TVs have added many industry-first features to deliver gaming excellence. LG OLED was the first TV to be certified by NVIDIA as G-SYNC® Compatible and LG 8K OLED TV was the first to demonstrate 8K gaming with NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 30 Series graphics cards. LG once again raised the bar for gamer-friendly TVs with the addition of support for Dolby Vision® at 4K 120Hz.

LG OLED TVs have been the real deal when it comes to leading the way in the adoption of genuine HDMI® 2.1 features and inputs and LG’s newest models continue that tradition with expanded HDMI 2.1 support. Every new LG OLED TV, QNED Mini LED TV, QNED TV and NanoCell TV will support automatic low latency mode (ALLM) and enhanced audio return channel (eARC) with most OLED, QNED Mini LED and QNED TVs certified to support variable refresh rate (VRR).

LG’s 2022 TVs have also been certified by HDMI Authorized Test Centers (ATC) for meeting the requirements set out in the latest HDMI 2.1 standards including VRR, eARC, Display Stream Compression (DSC) and support for Fixed Rate Link (FRL) up to 48Gbps.1

Gaming-Blog-Post-3-600x401.jpg

DSC is a future-proofing technology that enables visually lossless compression for ultra high definition displays. LG introduced DSC in its SIGNATURE OLED 8K Z series, 8K QNED Mini LED TVs and 8K NanoCell TVs in 2021, providing viewers with outstanding 8K 60Hz 12-bit 4:4:4 video capabilities. Able to enhance the clarity and definition of onscreen objects and colors, DSC is now offered in seven LG 2022 TV models with VRR and DSC support in the LG lineup.2

Select 2022 LG TVs also feature four ports that support FRL, a signaling technology supported in the HDMI 2.1 specification, to deliver higher uncompressed resolutions at ultra-high speed bandwidths (up to 48Gbps) for super-fast gaming and hyper-realistic graphics.3 Some LG premium TVs (models OLED Z2/G2, QNED99/95) also come Wi-Fi 6 certified, ensuring smooth online gameplay and more reliable content streaming for more speed and less latency than ever before. Wi-Fi 6 will be especially advantageous to subscribers of cloud gaming services such as NVIDIA GeForce NOW and Google Stadia, both available on LG 2022 Smart TVs.

With Game Optimizer, LG’s latest TVs make setting up the ideal gaming environment a fast and simple affair. A one-stop menu for all gaming-related settings, Game Optimizer lets users select and switch between game specific features as well as game genre display presets such as first-person shooters and role-playing while the new Sports option brings an added sense of realism to action-packed games.

Game Optimizer provides quick access to the new Dark Room Mode, which adjusts screen brightness for a better gaming experience in a dim or dark room. Players can easily change the screen’s aspect ratio to suit the game they are playing or the device they’re using (PC or console) as well as manage NVIDIA G-SYNC®, FreeSync™ Premium and VRR settings all from the Game Optimizer menu. Players can also activate Blue Light Reduction to help prevent eye fatigue and AI Game Sound to transport themselves deeper into their favorite titles.

With its 2022 OLED and premium LCD TVs, LG is once again demonstrating a commitment to meeting the needs of today’s gamers and delivering the best big-screen gaming experience possible.

Headlined by the Ultra-Premium ‘Signature Kitchen Suite’ Built-in Lineup,
Latest Premium Appliances Offer New Options for a More Personalized Home

SEOUL, Feb. 1, 2023 — LG Electronics (LG) is presenting its state-of-the-art kitchen and living appliance lineups at the 2023 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS), taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, from January 31 to February 2.
Under the theme of ‘Life on the UP,’ LG’s exhibit showcases the modern design and advanced technology of the company’s latest appliances while highlighting the personalized convenience they provide through the addition of ThinQ UP and ThinQ Care features – now available on LG’s premium built-in lineups for the very first time. Featuring eight unique zones, LG’s booth explores diverse consumer lifestyles and aesthetics with each zone representing a different, well-known American city, location or landmark, and each displaying a selection of new, cutting-edge LG appliances.
Visitors to KBIS 2023 can discover the latest premium kitchen solutions from luxury built-in brands, Signature Kitchen Suite and LG STUDIO, both of which offer the refined design and personalization options that today’s consumers want for their homes. The new Signature Kitchen Suite 48-inch built-in refrigerator comes in stainless steel or panel-ready option and boasts Signature Fit Integrated Design; enabling a seamless match with any interior décor and giving customers the choice of proud or flush installation.
Also on show at KBIS is LG’s new Signature Kitchen Suite 36-inch gas cooktop. The impressive appliance features five, powerful brass burners totaling 67,500 BTUs – including a 24,000-BTU* Ultra-High dual burner with a convertible wok grate – which is the most of any cooktop in the luxury kitchen category. Additionally, the new cooktop is available with an easy-to-clean porcelain-coated cooking surface, while the LG STUDIO kitchen package now offers customers an elegant, new handle color – rose gold – to choose from.
For hassle-free cleanup, the Signature Kitchen Suite’s PowerSteam® dishwasher can complete a full cycle in less than one hour thanks to LG’s QuadWash Pro and Dynamic Heat Dry technologies, the latter of which circulates hot air throughout the appliance’s interior. The sleek, stainless steel dishwasher, which has ‘hidden’ controls located on top of its door, uses TrueSteam® to help remove caked-on food and reduce water spots, while QuadWash Pro uses high-pressure jets of water to clean dishware from multiple angles.
LG is also exhibiting its personalized living solutions at this year’s show, with ThinQ UP appliances such as the latest washer and dryer pair, a new minimalism concept kitchen appliances lineup, and lastly, the new MoodUP by LG STUDIO – a fridge with color-changing door panels (23 colors available for the upper panel and 19 for the lower) that can be easily controlled via the LG ThinQ app. ThinQ UP, which enables users to continuously upgrade their appliances with additional features, will soon be coming to LG’s built-in appliances – including the Signature Kitchen Suite and LG STUDIO lineup – as will ThinQ Care features designed to help users protect and get the most out of their LG solutions.
What’s more, LG is presenting entertaining events at the show to allow visitors to experience its products and brand values first-hand. In the Las Vegas-themed zone of the company’s booth, Signature Kitchen Suite chefs, Nick Ritchie from Napa Valley and Austin Kang from Seoul, are giving cooking demonstrations using Signature Kitchen Suite appliances to prepare delectable treats for attendees. LG is also hosting an exclusive party in its booth’s New York-themed zone on the evening before KBIS 2023 opens. Along with music and a colorful LED lighting display provided by the customizable MoodUP by LG STUDIO, guests will be able to enjoy delicious desserts made using the ultra-convenient Scan to Cook feature on LG STUDIO cooking appliances.
“At KBIS 2023, we will introduce the exceptional, personalized experience offered by our ultra-premium built-in appliances and ThinQ UP,” said Lyu Jae-cheol, president of LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company. “LG will continue to deliver smart, stylish kitchen and living solutions designed to enhance consumers’ homes and daily lives.”
Visitors to LG’s booth (West Hall #3045, Las Vegas Convention Center) at KBIS 2023 will have the opportunity to experience the full portfolio of LG kitchen and living appliances.

Exhibit Along With Immersive Media Art and Digitalized Spaces for Diverse Industries

SEOUL, Jan. 31, 2023 — LG Electronics (LG) is presenting its cutting-edge digital signage solutions at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2023, which opens today in Barcelona, Spain. The company’s full range of display solutions – including Micro LED displays, Transparent OLED Signage and LED displays – is exhibited across a number of digitalized spaces demonstrating use cases and applications for different industries, including retail, corporate, education and hospitality.

Visitors to the company’s booth will be able to experience solutions created to foster better business communications, solutions that deliver clear visibility and integrate seamlessly in various commercial environments as well as solutions that can convey the emotion and dynamism of stunning digital artworks in a whole new way.
The massive 272-inch LG MAGNIT 8K Micro LED (model LSAB007) is making its debut at ISE with a truly jaw-dropping display, both in scale and in picture quality. The enormous Micro LED leverages millions of self-emissive micrometer-scale pixels to create images of exceptional vibrancy and depth, while its 8K resolution (7,680 x 4,320) delivers razor-sharp detail.
LG MAGNIT 8K offers impressive color consistency and a wide viewing angle. This remarkable display solution will mesmerize visitors to the company’s booth, enthralling them with exclusive 8K footage that captures the beauty and majesty of the natural world. With its huge size and superb picture quality, LG MAGNIT is an excellent solution for showcasing media art in public spaces, and for use in building control rooms, boardrooms as well as corporate and hotel lobbies.
Another spectacular sight for visitors, LG’s 8K Micro LED synchronizes with 56 Transparent OLED Signage (model 55EW5G-V) displays, covering both sides of the LG exhibition hall’s entrance to create an incredibly immersive media art experience. The captivating display setup transports visitors into a world of color and wonder – a world brought to life by the company’s cutting-edge display technologies.
At ISE 2023, LG is also showcasing its solutions for virtual production studios for the very first time. A virtual production studio allows content creators to shoot live-action footage against a fully digital backdrop, which is made by displaying virtual scenery on a series of seamlessly connected LED screens. LG and its professional partners, including Mo-Sys and ARRI, will be showing visitors how a virtual production studio works – and how it can be used for entertainment applications, such as film and TV, and for corporate in-house broadcasting – and introducing LG’s LED displays and related solutions.
At the center of LG’s booth is the eye-catching Floating CUBE LED, an LED sculpture that creatively combines four 2K LED displays (model LSCB012). Based on Tensegrity, a structural principle of tensional integrity, the CUBE presents strikingly three-dimensional anamorphic digital art that moves and flows across the displays’ surfaces. LG’s fine-pitch LED displays provide lifelike picture quality, while the seamless 90-degree corner design of the CUBE installation enhances the sense that one is looking at real, 3D objects inside an actual, physical space.
Additionally, LG is introducing its new digital learning solution, LG CreateBoard (model TR3DK), at ISE 2023. An Interactive Digital Board designed to engage, inform and inspire students, and encourage greater collaboration, the new model provides LG CreateBoard Lab for content creating and writing as well as LG CreateBoard Share for wireless content and screen sharing. Also on show is LG ConnectedCare DMS, a cloud-based device management solution for schools and other learning environments that enables the remote management of multiple displays.
As part of its comprehensive exhibit, LG is presenting convenient cloud-based management solutions tailored to the needs of diverse industries; including retail, corporate, education and hospitality. LG Pro:Cloud is a cloud platform for accessing LG’s content management solutions (CMS) including Pro:Centric Cloud (hospitality) and SuperSign Cloud, while LG ConnectedCare is a remote management solution that makes it possible to monitor signages, check energy usage and adjust display brightness via the integrated Energy Dashboard.1
Also on full display at ISE 2023 is LG’s ongoing commitment to sustainability. Embracing the company’s Better Life for All vision, the latest B2B solutions from LG offer energy efficiency, reduced resource consumption, increased recyclability and enhanced accessibility.2 In the ESG zone, visitors can explore innovations such as cloud-based smart energy management solutions that help reduce power consumption and 4K UHD signage (model UL3J-EP), featuring components partially made from recycled plastic, and check out the LG Kiosk, which promotes digital inclusion with a tactile keypad for the visually impaired.

Last year was a particularly harsh one for many families in Thailand, as severe floods devastated large areas of the northeast and central regions repeatedly over a prolonged four-month period. Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, a central Thailand province steeped in ancient history, was one territory that was hit particularly hard by this unprecedented catastrophe.
To restore and preserve the city’s infrastructure, historical locations and private homes damaged by this unforgiving natural disaster, LG Thailand initiated a range of activities that took full advantage of the company’s expertise and kind-hearted employees as it extended a helping hand to those in need.

LG recruited a team of over 30 volunteers who worked diligently throughout the day to clear up as many of the smudges created by the flooding as possible and repaint buildings from schools to temples, returning their old, dilapidated walls to their former glory.

Fully understanding that flood-damaged electrical appliances, which are considered daily essentials, must be repaired as a matter of urgency within the affected communities, LG created a registration system where households could sign up to receive inspections and maintenance services as fast as possible. Thanks to this effort, people could bring their devices to a service center or request LG technicians pay a visit to their houses for repairs.

(From left to right) Mr. Prapan Treebubpha, deputy governor of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya and Mr. Sunghun Jung, managing director of LG Electronics Thailand
The company’s endeavor to care for locals continues to change lives with a donation of LG appliances and cash totaling over USD 10,600. “Through this and other activities, LG has joined hands with the local government to help accelerate the restoration of the province and improve the well-being of our inhabitants,” said Prapan Treebubpha, deputy governor of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya.

(From left to right) Ms. Arpusara Songkavijit, senior marketing communication manager at LG Electronics Thailand, Dr. Petch Alisanant, assistant director of supporting services at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital and Mr. Amnaj Singhachan, senior marketing manager at LG Electronics Thailand
The flood relief project is yet another embodiment of LG’s long-held commitment to improving the overall quality of life and well-being of people across the world, as it strives to promote its Life’s Good vision. In July 2022, LG also donated electrical appliances worth over USD 11,500 to the Chulalongkorn Hospital, Thai Red Cross Society and Princess Mother’s Medical Volunteer (PMMV) Foundation to support the heroes working in Thailand’s medical sector, believing that this donation would benefit the healthcare and livelihoods of all Thai people in time.
Keep following LG Newsroom to see how LG continues its efforts around the world to ensure that Life’s Good for all!
