The campaign, which launched on Nov. 8 in time for the season of giving, has a goal of delivering 15,000 meals and connecting people in their communities throughout the USA. The social media campaign encourages others to join Lasagna Love’s mission of addressing the incredible rise in food insecurity among families and providing a simple act of kindness to those in need of a helping hand.

LG believes in empowering home cooks and providing them with the innovative tools they need to make the most of their time in the kitchen. Through the partnership with Lasagna Love, LG will be sharing recipes and cooking tips for LG’s InstaView ranges to motivate consumers to get involved and give them all the tools they need to make and gift the perfect lasagna.

“We’ve all been in a place of needing support, whether it’s a family struggling with food insecurity, a neighbor feeling isolated, or a friend who could use a little encouragement, we hope to inspire others this holiday season to spread Lasagna Love’s mission and connect people in their communities,” says Gail Conroy, senior director of marketing, LG Electronics USA.

Lasagna Love’s mission is simple: feed families, spread kindness and strengthen communities. According to CEO and Founder Rhiannon Menn, “Lasagna Love was created through the simple act of one family making a home-cooked meal for another family in need. As we continue to scale our mission of spreading kindness, what’s most inspiring is how we’re making life a little better not only for the families receiving a meal, but also for the volunteers who are cooking.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with an innovative company like LG that truly understands the power in this one simple act of kindness and wants to help us reach even further,” she says.

Asking this hear, since I could not seem to find a better place... Wake on LAN only works for a few minutes after TV is turned off?  If I turn of LG TV (WebOS 8.x) and then send a Wake on LAN (WoL) packet, it works.  If turn off the LG TV, then I wait about 15 minutes or so, then send the same WoL sequence, using the same code, script, etc., it fails, the LG TV never turns on.  THe LG TV is configured both for wired ethernet (preferred) and WiFi.  Any idea why this behavior?  It almost seems like the LG TV goes into standby, via phone app, remote, even CEC, etc., then drops from the network?  Mobile is enabled on the TV, hence the phone app works.  Why would the LG TV stop responding to WoL packets?

Brand new LG TV (WebOS 8x) WILL NOT stay off when turned off with the remote?  Out of the box, connected to internet, seems to have been updated, and working fine.  But when I hit the power off with the remote, the TV reports 'Life is Good' seems to turn off, i.e. go into standby, and then a few seconds later, turns back on.  If the device connected to the TV on the last active HDMI port is OFF, I get the No Signal warning.  So I know the active HDMI input is not generating any signal.  I want to believe that any other device on any other HDMI port might be an issue? But then the TV would switch to that HDMI port, no?  This is really an issue!  If I use the phone app I can turn off the TV and it seems to stay off, at least does not come back on in a few seconds like the remote?  If I send 'standby' via HDMI-CEC, that seems to work as well, the TV seems to stay in standby mode.  This a bug?

I have been trying to get my Google Home and Nest Audio Speakers to turn my LG OLED65C24LA TV on and off.   I have linked ThinQ to Google Home but it still wouldn't work.  So plan B was to get a Chromecast to do this one simple voice activated request....I have no intentions of using Chromecast for anything else!
So this actually does work, however, when asking it to turn the TV on, it defaults to the home page of Chromecast TV, I want it to just open to my normal TV system, which is Sky Q.  Ideally, I would like to disconnect the Chromecast and just get Google Home and ThinQ to do this !!
I have checked every setting and trawled the internet for a solution.  I've posted on the AV Forum in the UK and the Google Forum and I'm waiting on a call back from LG Support UK.
I expected this to be a VERY simple task !!
Can anyone help with this ?

We have a new 32” LG tv. The picture is great. Sound is great. Controls are confusing to us.
when using DVDs the resolution seems fine. But when cable tv is on the image overflows the screen, cutting off parts of the picture.

we can’t figure out how to fix. Probably simple, but we can’t find it.

Since 2011, LG has been running the LG Hope Screen program under its ESG direction of Better Life for All, raising public awareness of serious social and environmental issues. Public service videos produced by international organizations and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) were able to catch the eyes of many by being displayed on LG’s billboards in the high-traffic pedestrian areas in two of the world’s most popular cities – New York’s iconic Times Square and London’s Piccadilly Circus.

In celebration of World Food Day (October 16), LG once again aired a campaign video  on its outdoor billboards between October 9-22. World Food Day is celebrated annually to honor the founding of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), a specialized agency to raise public awareness regarding global food shortages and efforts to address them.

The campaign video was produced by FAO under the theme, “Water is life. Water is food. Leave no one behind,” inspiring people to work together to end hunger. It aims to remind viewers of the value of water, an essential element for life and food, and to encourage people to put more thought and effort into water usage and conservation for a more sustainable future.

Previously, through the LG Hope Screen program, the company actively showed its support for the UNEP and World Environment Day by playing

As a global corporate citizen, LG actively took part in campaigns to solve global social and environmental issues, including world hunger. LG India partnered with the Akshaya Patra Foundation to provide lunch to around 33,000 students in 11 states across the country since last year. Meanwhile, to donate 120 refrigerator-freezers for food storage to 60 campuses in the United States, offering meals to 500,000 college students suffering from malnutrition.
In line with its ESG vision of Better Life for All, LG will continuously operate the LG Hope Screen program to raise awareness in public interest campaigns at a global level.
