Even while the home-bound lifestyle has been an adjustment for everyone, it has proved particularly challenging for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and their families. Having to study and keep up with the required schoolwork without the help of professional educators and their usual classroom environments cannot by easy for any students. Providing round-the-clock care and support while working remotely has especially placed the parents of kids with ASD under considerable stress.

Since 2008, French organization Sur les bancs de l’école has dedicated itself to helping children with ASD and their families to overcome educational and life challenges. Currently it is supporting 200 affected youth and their loved ones in France. In recognition of Sur les bancs de l’école’s valuable work, LG SIGNATURE recently held an online charity auction ‘STRONGER TOGETHER’, for children with ASD in Paris from July 8 to July 18.

The auction highlighted the brand’s ongoing partnership as well with the Amundi Evian Championship, one of the most prestigious tournaments in women’s professional golf. Ko Jin-young and Park Sung-hyun, two of the world’s top golfers and global ambassadors for LG SIGNATURE, gave up their time and prized possessions to support the auction and raise awareness for the brand’s chosen cause. The auction received considerable interest with bids coming in from all over the globe. STRONGER TOGETHER brought in an impressive tally of USD 114,825, all of which will go to Sur les bancs de l’école for children and families affected by ASD.

The LG SIGNATURE OLED R, LG SIGNATURE Refrigerator and LG SIGNATURE Wine Cellar headlined the auction. Another popular item up for bid was a one-night stay at the luxurious Hotel Royal at the Evian Resort – the glamorous venue of the Amundi Evian Championship.

Participants in the online auction were also delighted to have the opportunity to interact with Ko and Park virtually, who both kindly donated tournament-used equipment and apparel. The exclusive items included Ko’s Epic Flash driver used during the 2020 LPGA tour, and Park’s TaylorMade P750 8 iron, which golf fans might recognize from the TaylorMade promotional video she filmed with Tiger Woods.

An official sponsor of the Amundi Evian Championship since 2017, LG SIGNATURE has great respect for, and a natural affinity with the artistry and technique of, the game’s top players. The brand has hosted unique events and marketing activities at the Evian Resort Golf Club every year of its partnership, including a culinary challenge featuring Europe’s top chefs and the renaming the eighth hole to LG SIGNATURE Hole and appliance prizes for any player who could sink a hole-in-one.

LG SIGNATURE, as a proud supporter of the Evian Championship and Sur les bancs de l’école, is grateful to all the fans who participated in the charity auction benefitting ASD-affected families, delivering the message to the world that we’re stronger together, especially during these challenging times.

SEOUL, Feb. 21, 2024 — LG Electronics (LG) is set to introduce a diverse range of luxurious built-in kitchen packages at the 2024 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS), taking place in Las Vegas, USA, from February 27-29. Taking center stage, the company’s new Signature Kitchen Suite Transitional Series appliances – including the Combi Wall Oven, Double Wall Oven and Single Oven featuring cutting-edge Gourmet AI technology – boast sophisticated design and intelligent functionality.
Bold Sophistication With New Transitional Built-in Kitchen Package
The arrival of the new Transitional Series built-in kitchen package marks a significant expansion of the Signature Kitchen Suite lineup, which continues to set the standard for elegant simplicity, understated luxury and exceptional quality. Joining the existing Professional Series (Traditional) range, the Transitional Series has been created in response to consumers’ growing preference for transitional and contemporary kitchen design.
Signature Kitchen Suite Transitional Series appliances feature satin stainless steel exteriors with an elegant, velvety matte finish that elevates the kitchen environment. Delivering a chic, minimalist appearance, Transitional Series appliances are equipped with slimmer handles than those found on Professional Series models. The design decision to move away from the use of conventional control knobs also contributes to a sleeker look.
The Signature Kitchen Suite Transitional Series Built-in Kitchen Package on show at KBIS 2024 includes French-Door refrigerators, column refrigerators, column wine refrigerators, dishwashers, wall ovens and more. The breadth of the brand’s built-in offerings demonstrates a firm commitment to providing consumers with a wide range of premium products to help them complete their dream kitchen.
Enhanced Cooking Experience With Advanced Gourmet AI Technology
Debuting at this year’s exhibition, Signature Kitchen Suite’s Gourmet AI-equipped Wall Oven lineups deliver an enhanced culinary experience. The company’s innovative Gourmet AI technology is able to identify ingredients the user has on hand and can automatically suggest optimal recipes from 80 auto cook options. Thanks to the oven’s built-in high-definition camera, users can remotely monitor what they’re cooking via the ThinQ app. LG’s intelligent camera enables features such as time-lapse recording and the ability to capture photos and share them online. Additionally, the inclusion of ThinQ Care means users get to enjoy continuous feature upgrades throughout the life of their oven.
Another high-performance Signature Kitchen Suite innovation, the Steam-Combi convection oven seamlessly integrates steam and convection cooking functionality for outstanding gourmet results. The Steam-Combi convection system ensures fast and even cooking, using the natural properties of steam to help maintain the taste, texture and appearance of food. Without requiring any preheating, the oven’s steam sous vide mode allows for the creation of delectable dishes that are moist and tender on the inside and crispy and flaky on the outside.
What’s more, Transitional Series ovens boast LG’s distinctive and highly convenient InstaView window, enabling users to see inside without having to open the door.
Wide Range of Premium Kitchen Lineups for Diverse Culinary Lifestyles and Spaces
Other Signature Kitchen Suite innovations featured at KBIS 2024 include 48-inch panel ready kitchen appliances that can be color coordinated to match existing cabinetry, and a streamlined 36-inch French-Door refrigerator designed for smaller spaces. LG’s diverse range of ultra-premium built-in solutions offers each customer the opportunity to create a kitchen that truly embodies their personal style and meets the needs of their own unique culinary lifestyle.

Underpinning the enduring brand value of LG SIGNATURE lies the profound belief that Art Inspires Technology, Technology Completes Art. Merging technological excellence with artistic brilliance, LG SIGNATURE proudly sponsored a performance of timeless classic ‘Swan Lake’ choreographed by Angelin Preljocaj, an esteemed master of ballet. This modern interpretation took place at LG Arts Center SEOUL, South Korea, from June 22 to 25, where it captivated audiences while perfectly embodying the brand’s commitment to extraordinary experiences.

Running alongside the performance was the Swan Lake-themed LG SIGNATURE OLED M exhibition, which used a moon-shaped mirror to reflect light onto the lake created below the TV to highlight its ‘wireless’ design. A Zero Connect Box, which wirelessly transmits video and audio signals to LG’s cinematic screen, was also presented to visitors on top of an elegant swan sculpture, which added a touch of class to the space.

The LG SIGNATURE Hall was bustling with people eager to witness the highly anticipated performance. And as they waited, they were able to enjoy an exhibition of advanced technology as well as photo zones highlighting the OLED TV’s sleek wireless transmission of video and audio that no one thought was even possible. The mesmerizing Swan Lake motifs added another dimension to the zone, with attendees saying it felt more like the performance’s opening act.

Esteemed figures from the Korea’s ballet, culture and arts scenes – including Kang Sue-jin, artistic director of the Korean National Ballet, and Cha Jun-hwan, a world-class figure skater – immersed themselves in the perfect blend of innovation and artistic brilliance. “The space let me directly experience the ultimate harmony of art and technology LG SIGNATURE aims to convey,” remarked Kang. Cha Jun-hwan had only good things to say about the exhibition, especially about the TV’s innovative design, stating, “I was delighted to witness such an innovative design that boldly departs from the conventional.”

The opportunity to experience a remarkable ballet performance and the world’s first wireless OLED TV in one place sparked a wave of excitement among diverse audiences. Influential figures from ballet, art and culture were there to see it for themselves, like ballerina Lee Joo-ri, actress Kim Joo-ri, ballerina Kim Nam-ji, actor Lee Jae-joon and model Kim Nam-yoon, as well as luxury lifestyle influencers including Kim Young-shin, Kim Bo-kyung and Jung Jae-ho.

Demonstrating the brand’s unwavering commitment to the intrinsic connection between art and technology, the curtain was drawn on the remarkable reinterpretation of the iconic Swan Lake ballet with LG SIGNATURE as its main sponsor. While the show may have come to an end, the captivating exhibition will continue to welcome a broader audience of TV lovers until September. By bridging the worlds of technology and artistic expression, LG SIGNATURE continues to redefine the essence of living a life inspired by art.

Boasting diverse, emerging markets and great growth potential, the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region is an important market for LG. As such, the company is speeding up its community-focused social contribution activities in the region to reach the local community, and striving to fulfill its responsibilities as a global corporate citizen and expand business opportunities for all.

LG West Africa recently donated LG DUALCOOL air conditioners (AC) to a general hospital in Lagos, Nigeria’s coastal megacity. Thanks to a dual inverter compressor with two cylinders, DUALCOOL ACs can compress a large amount of refrigerant to achieve energy-efficient performance. In Nigeria, usually the climate is hot all year round, fueling high demand for air cooling solutions that are highly energy-efficient.
      According to a

Meanwhile in Saudi Arabia, the company recently launched its eco-friendly campaign ‘Yalla Green’ – ‘Let’s Go Together’ in Arabic – with its energy-efficiency air solution products that scored the highest Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) grade. In fact, as a leading air conditioner brand in Saudi Arabia, all of LG’s inverter air conditioners display a green SEER label.

To help realize a greener future, LG Saudi Arabia collaborated with Shaker Group, a local home appliance distributor, to plant trees in Thadiq National Park near Riyadh and give a boost to the government’s environmental movement. In line with the Saudi Green Initiative (SGI), the country aims to plant more than 650 million trees throughout Saudi Arabia by 2030.
Community-based social activities focused on energy-efficiency and eco-friendly products are also helping local businesses grow. Last year, the company’s sales in the MEA region increased by more than double digits from the previous year, exceeding KRW 3 trillion for the first time ever. In particular, the air solution business’ sales of high-efficient products increased by over 20 percent.

LG now has regional production bases in Saudi Arabia and Egypt so it can swiftly respond to market demands. In March, the company also hosted LG Showcase 2023, a renowned tech event, in Dubai, UAE, where it introduced the latest products coming to the region. Held for the first time since the pandemic, this offline event drew global attention and was attended by a record-breaking 400-plus visitors, including partners, distributors and journalists from 76 MEA countries.
LG will aim to continuously carry out diverse and impactful social contribution activities in line with its vision, as it empathizes with the local community and strives to accelerate its efforts in emerging markets with great growth potential.

To deliver unparalleled living experiences, LG SIGNATURE is relentlessly motivated by art in all its forms. This ethos transcends into passionate support for standout art and cultural experiences.

To bring the LG SIGNATURE experience closer to customers, the brand has held events and created new partnerships through its wider UK brand campaign “LG SIGNATURE Hosts” experience so that more people can enjoy the luxury lifestyle products for themselves.

A key component of this initiative is LG SIGNATURE’s ongoing partnership with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO), one of the world’s finest orchestras and true masters of its art. With every musician at the pinnacle of their career, its performances are nothing short of legendary. This partnership with RPO and the activities that come with it, provide a meaningful opportunity for top-tier luxury media in the UK to engage directly with LG SIGNATURE, driving positive awareness of the brand and its products through the power of hands-on experiences.

Most recently, the brand held LG SIGNATURE Hosts The Music of Bond at London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall, providing a perfect opportunity to create a decadent moment that aligns seamlessly with the LG SIGNATURE brand.
Dan Michelson, marketing director at LG UK
The event invited guests to enjoy an intimate dinner reception held in the Royal Albert Hall’s exclusive Clive Room, followed by a live performance of The Music of Bond from a Grand Tier Box. The show celebrated over 60 years of James Bond on the big screen by playing the most iconic theme songs and anthems from the box-office blockbusters.

On arrival, attending media were greeted with a James Bond-inspired pre-dinner aperitif and encouraged to play a game of blackjack at the casino table with ‘LG SIGNATURE Fun Money.’ One lucky winner received a collection of James Bond memorabilia including a box of socks from The London Sock Exchange’s 007 anniversary collection, a Bella Freud James Bond Dr. No mug and a ‘Bond Cars: The Definitive History’ book.

During the show, attendees could also have their main course paired with wine served at the optimum temperature, thanks to the LG SIGNATURE Wine Cellar on display in the Clive Room.

With cutting-edge innovation inspired by traditional wine storage techniques, it expertly replicates the conditions of underground wine caves to store and age wines for the optimal taste, while its sleek design is the epitome of minimalist luxury.

In this installment of On the Job, we look into the design history of LG SIGNATURE to learn how LG’s luxury brand provides unparalleled customer experiences.

What role does design play in shaping the home appliance user experience? Let us consider the thoughtful innovation that enables users to knock twice on their LG InstaView refrigerator to see inside without even having to open the door – or the smart screen applied to LG’s latest washers which streamlines control by replacing the more traditional dials and switches with an intuitive touch-based interface.
(From left to right) Sangin Chung, Jayoen Kim, Inyoung Hwang and Mimi Bae at Home Appliance & Air Solution
      LG SIGNATURE UX Design Team
In both of these cases, LG has cleverly evolved key elements of what is called ‘user experience design’ to boost usability and create new convenience that expands and improves the overall customer experience. Armed with a deep understanding of users and their everyday needs, user experience designers at the LG SIGNATURE UX Design Team have played a pivotal role in shaping the unparalleled quality and easy-to-use features that the brand is synonymous with.

      Reimagining the Customer Experience
Experience design is not, however, limited to matters of function and user-device interaction. “Taking a look at the term experience from a wider view, we find that experience design actually encompasses aspects of branding – referred to as brand experience – as well as the impact products have on the user’s living environment and day-to-day lifestyle – referred to as customer experience,” explained Jayoen Kim, design professional at LG SIGNATURE UX Design Team.
Designed for those seeking a more luxurious way of living, LG SIGNATURE products bring together the best of aesthetic and functional design to add a touch of sophistication to all areas of the customer experience. The seamless marriage of form and function, LG SIGNATURE’s premium appliances boast a timeless quality that transcends any particular interior decorating trend or style and has struck a chord with discerning consumers worldwide.

Consistent Design Makes a Timeless Brand
The ability to produce a single, coherent aesthetic or design language is crucial when building a consistent, recognizable brand image – and to fostering a lasting brand legacy. “Through design, we’re letting the brand speak to our customers,” said Inyoung Hwang, design professional at LG SIGNATURE UX Design Team. “Part of our job is making it easier for consumers to recognize the unique brand philosophy governing our products, by adhering to a specific visual tone and manner across all appliances.”
From its inception in 2016, LG SIGNATURE has cultivated a product aesthetic that consistently delivers, and clearly conveys, a focus on providing customers with ultra-premium experiences. These experiences are then fully realized by the uniting of elements that are just as integral to the brand’s identity as its distinctive style – namely, impressive performance, user-centric features and high-quality materials.
      The first-generation LG SIGNATURE lineup
In 2014, the LG SIGNATURE design committee was formed with the aim of fostering design-centric innovation. Introducing a “design-first, develop-second” product approach which was groundbreaking at the time, the first-generation LG SIGNATURE lineup was revealed to the world at CES 2016. LG’s exclusive brand has remained true to its heritage and is still considered a trailblazer in the luxury home appliance market.
The very essence of style and functionality, LG SIGNATURE’s first-generation products paired clean, sophisticated design with cutting-edge technologies. Completely devoid of knobs and buttons, the first-generation LG SIGNATURE Washer showcased the elegant, minimalist look that has continued to be a hallmark of the brand’s peerless appliances.
      Evolving Features, Unchanging Philosophy
While LG SIGNATURE’s commitment to timeless design remains unchanged, its interpretation of next-level luxury – and accordingly, its product offerings – are continuously evolving. Unveiled at this year’s CES under the theme of ‘Live Beyond’, the second-generation LG SIGNATURE lineup presents a refined vision of luxury living, building on all that makes the brand so great and taking it a step further.
The new lineup is in keeping with the minimalism of the first generation, but adds chic new colors, materials and finishes to choose from. Users can look forward to enhanced technologies as well as upgraded design. The new LG SIGNATURE 4-Door French-Door refrigerator, for instance, features Dual InstaView for an even more streamlined and convenient customer experience.
      The second-generation LG SIGNATURE lineup
Outstanding design outlasts the era in which it was conceived, influencing the way people gauge and appreciate beauty for generations. An iconic brand with a timeless aesthetic, LG SIGNATURE has redefined home appliance design and will never relent in its pursuit of customer-driven innovation. Stay tuned to
