@Blank_Disk First, can you please ensure that you have got the latest firmware installed on yourTV. The latest version is: [05.80.65] - just one fix is mentioned (seems to be a browser fix)
1. Fix the failure of access to certain website in the browser

You can manually download that and put it on the root (i.e. NOT inside a folder) of a USB stick, and plug it into the TV. See:

If you already have that, then give this a try:

NOTE: If you are in the habit of using the browser on the TV a lot (that is accumulating lots of tabs), AND starting it from the previous session tabs (i.e. the "where I left off" option) then do NOT have that set, start it fresh each time by ensuring that the "new tab page" is the startup opton. Otherwise it will have a much larger "memory footprint" than needed, and will reduce the already "tight" free memory for other apps cache and buffers for streaming data. I NEVER use the TV browser, I always do my browsing on a desktop or laptop.

Already have this set that way and also do not use the browser as it’s terrible, it’s mainly Disney+ but have had it previously with Netflix & prime, been working on computers for over 30 years so I understand media features etc, it seems like the app has a memory leak causing the tv to run out of ram.

@Blank_Disk You may well be correct about a memory leak. However, there have been a few odd forum reports about Disney and netflix apps struggling on LG TV, that MIGHT be helped by ensuring that the Network settings use an actual "known" DNS server, rather than the "default" that often uses the ISP provided (usually unknown to the user) DNS server. Most folks seem to fix many odd issues by using the public Google DNS of 8.8.8.8 rather than the "automatic" default.

Now I am NOT saying this will fix a memory leak issue, BUT it might fix some extra memory use by "struggling" network negotiation and lookups. Give it a try anyway.

If no luck there, report the issue direct to your country LG support, or the app developer (Disney).

I have owned a couple of LG TV’s over the last 8 years, with the current one being a high-end 77” model.
I am still using LG TV SmartShare (v.33) as my “Media Player” v2.3.1511.1201 for my PC– which was last updated in 2015 but it is still compatible today.  As proof, my latest TV is now 11 months old and I have had zero issue (until you see below).
link hidden, please login to view My PC setup is: Windows 10 Pro (with all latest updates) and a TP-Link Archer BE19000 (BE805) router.    NOTHING has been changed on my router, TV (no updated or changed firmware) or any equipment moved around in the last 4 months.
Up until about 3 weeks ago, everything ran just fine.  The SmartShare program was always defaulted to have Sharing ON, upon start of it, which is always when Windows boots).  However, about 3 weeks ago, the SmartShare PC program has started to randomly change its status to Sharing OFF.  I would then have to go into the program, manually change it to ON and then it works anywhere for 30 minutes up to 20 hours, and again, randomly change the Sharing to OFF.
I am an experienced PC user, and I am very sure that this has nothing to do with my WIFI because it’s not a dropped connection or random TV not being found.   Something is happening inside Windows 10 that is triggering this status change.  And it never fluctuates back to Sharing ON by itself.
Being so frustrated, I actually updated the Router to the latest firmware a few days ago, but this problem continues as before.
As an experiment, I installed an alternate Media Server program called Serviio.  One can also see that when my Sharing changes to OFF, the two green lights turn red.
Anyone have an idea of what can be happening after nearly 8 years of not experiencing this?       I am guessing that Windows is triggering some “Service” to stop running, but what can it be?

Immediately following the major LG webOS firmware upgrade last week, our OLED65G2PSA is damaged. A white line appears top to bottom of screen in from the left hand side & the tv either fails to turn on, or shuts itself down shortly after. Has anyone else had this issue & if so, has any update on a solution. (I'm waiting for LG to get it sorted. Waiting ...)
