Putting words into action is a critical component of LG’s Life’s Good motto. This has manifested itself across a wide range of activations in the U.S., most recently as part of LG Electronics USA’s partnership with the New York Yankees, one of the most recognized and successful sports franchises in the world.

      As

Recently, LG expanded its partnership to include a cause-related component that will benefit the community around the stadium.  This effort will support renovations at Elston Gene Howard Field, which sits across the street from the current Yankee Stadium on the site of the original Yankee Stadium. LG’s donation of USD 50,000 will assist in upgrades to the three ballfields at the location, which is utilized by the Bronx community and the Yankees’ Summer Night Lights program.
During an on-field ceremony at Yankee Stadium prior to the Yankees-Red Sox game on September 12, LG USA CEO Chris Jung presented a check to NYC Parks Bronx Borough Commissioner Jessenia Aponte and Administrative Parks and Recreation Manager Clinton Johnson.

“We believe in investing in the communities where we live and work.  This collaboration with the New York Yankees enables us to improve these fields for the benefit of the youth of New York City,” said LG Electronic USA CEO Chris Jung.  “Creating an environment where children can enjoy positive experiences helps ensure ‘Life’s Good’ in their community and provides a tremendous asset to their growth and development.”

“LG has been a tremendous partner, and they are employing that same forward-looking, collaborative spirit toward the Bronx community, which utilizes Elston Gene Howard Field extensively throughout the year,” said Yankees Senior Vice President of Corporate/Community Relations Brian Smith. “This donation will positively impact thousands of Bronx residents who rely on the park for exercise, recreation and team sports, including the children who participate in the Yankees’ Summer Night Lights programming. We salute LG’s contribution and look forward to seeing the benefits of their donation bear fruit for many years to come.”

Having just completed its second season, Summer Night Lights serves approximately 300 children and teenagers from the Bronx between the ages of 12 and 18 who take part in tournament-style, co-ed baseball and softball games on Tuesday and Wednesday nights throughout July and August. The program is designed to keep area young people engaged in recreation and character-promoting activities on summer evenings, when midweek organized activities for young people are difficult to find.

Seamlessly Integrating Customer and Spatial Experiences, Company’s “Affectionate
Intelligence Home” Presents an AI Home Lifestyle of Curated Comfort and Convenience

SEOUL, Sep. 5, 2024 — LG Electronics (LG) is set to unveil its vision for future living at IFA 2024, showcasing a complete range of AI home solutions for every need and lifestyle under the theme of “Experience, Affectionate Intelligence (AI) Home.”
Central to LG’s Affectionate Intelligence Home is LG ThinQ ON, an advanced AI home hub designed to deliver comfort and convenience tailored to individual preferences. ThinQ ON seamlessly integrates with LG’s latest AI appliances, forming the core of the LG AI Home Solution. This system is driven by Affectionate Intelligence, LG’s empathetic and caring AI technology. As the AI Home Solution learns more about users’ routines, preferences and behaviors over time, it creates a personalized spatial experience, delivering unmatched customer value and bringing greater ease to everyday life.
The first thing visitors to the LG booth at IFA 2024 will encounter is the AI Home Gate, an immersive LED media wall that visually communicates how LG AI is deployed within the AI Home to elevate customer lifestyles.
Visitors will get to experience LG’s sophisticated generative AI technology through the ThinQ ON hub once they pass through the AI Home Gate. ThinQ ON understands natural language, allowing users to control a wide range of appliances, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, and services with conversational voice commands. LG’s AI hub facilitates a truly personalized AI home lifestyle, managing everything from lifestyle services to helping kids get a good night’s sleep.
Intelligently Personalized AI Home Lifestyles for Every Generation, Family and Pet
The Second Youth Home exemplifies LG’s commitment to enhancing the lives of the elderly by easing household chores and enriching leisure activities. Powered by ThinQ ON, this space highlights how conversational voice-recognition and seamless coordination of home appliances – for example, automatically setting the dryer to “Activewear course” once the washing machine finishes a workload – simplify home management. The AI hub can also provide voice briefings to keep users informed of what’s going on, relieve stress by offering guidance for tasks such as booking a taxi, and estimate travel time to the selected destinations.
In the Affectionate Home zone, the focus is on AI solutions designed to help families care, especially for children and pets. The Self-Driving AI Home Hub, capable of controlling AI appliances and IoT sensors, adjusts device settings and environmental conditions to meet children’s needs. For example, it can activate Sleep Mode at bedtime, dimming lights and adding a starlight effect to help kids drift off to sleep. Additionally, the hub supports learning by using generative AI to create stories from children’s drawings.
For easier pet care, LG’s AI Home Solution manages connected appliances and devices to maintain fresh air and clean floors. Air-quality sensors intelligently control the LG PuriCare Alpha Pet Double air purifier, while temperature and humidity sensors manage the DUALCOOL air conditioner, automatically adjusting mode and air flow to suit current conditions. The robot vacuum autonomously cleans the floor once after pets leave, ensuring a more pleasant living space. Additionally, the Affectionate Home zone introduces a brand-new home appliance made especially for cats (and their owners). The innovative LG AeroCat combines a cat bed with an air purifier to offer a comfortable resting spot for cats and a fresher atmosphere for their human companions.
In the Delightful Home zone, ThinQ ON takes center stage in creating a more convenient culinary experience by engaging with visitors and providing personalized recipe recommendations as well as nutritional analysis. Visitors can also enjoy live cooking demonstrations, such as the “AI Talking Cooking Show,” savor the delicious dishes prepared by LG’s AI ovens with built-in cameras, and see how the InstaView with MoodUP refrigerator enhances the ambiance.
Next up is the Smart Green Home, a self-sustaining abode featuring high-efficiency appliances, including the advanced Therma V R290 Monobloc air-to-water heat pump and state-of-the-art heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system. LG AI optimizes household energy usage in real time, adjusting device settings and schedules in accordance with users’ lifestyles and routines, while accounting for fluctuations in electricity rates. ThinQ ON also helps reduce household energy costs by intelligently managing the power consumption of all connected devices.
Innovating the AI Home Ecosystem and Key Technologies with LG AI
The LG Affectionate Intelligence zone showcases the scalability of LG’s Affectionate Intelligence with ThinQ ON at its core. Utilizing LG’s own generative AI technology and advanced security solutions, ThinQ ON acts as the central hub of diverse IoT ecosystems enhanced by a range of LG’s IoT sensors and devices. These include motion and light sensors, temperature and humidity sensors and smart buttons, all providing real-time spatial information for personalized, AI-driven home services.
The zone also highlights how LG’s open AI ecosystem integrates third-party services to enrich the customer experience and demonstrates the versatility of IoT sensors that can even connect non-AI appliances to the AI Home system. The exhibit underscores the scalability of LG’s AI solutions, giving visitors a real sense of the intelligent and responsive living environment LG is creating.
What’s more, the LG Affectionate Intelligence zone illustrates how ThinQ ON serves as the home’s central hub, working in complete harmony with LG’s ThinQ UP and ThinQ app, and a wide variety of services and solutions. This creates an exceptionally personalized experience and fosters a continuously-growing AI home ecosystem.
Finally, the AI to the Core zone highlights the cutting-edge innovation of LG’s AI Core-Tech, including the AI DD and the AI DUAL Inverter. The integration of LG’s latest AI solutions with industry-leading core technologies delivers more precise control, improved energy efficiency and enhanced personalization.
“Our Affectionate Intelligence Home solutions at IFA 2024 will enable customers to experience the ease of the Zero Labor Home, where they can enjoy a life free from mundane household chores,” said Lyu Jae-cheol, president of LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company. “We will continue to lead the AI home era with our Affectionate Intelligence solutions and state-of-the-art core technologies.”
Visitors to LG’s booth (Hall 18, Messe Berlin) at IFA 2024 from September 6-10 can discover the unprecedented customizability and convenience of the company’s latest Affectionate Intelligence Home solutions.

For the seventh consecutive year, LG served as the exclusive technology partner of CASACOR SP, the Americas’ leading cultural platform for architecture, landscaping, art and interior design. The 37th edition of CASACOR was held in São Paulo, where LG showcased an impressive array of 180 products across 45 inspiring spaces. Reaching record attendance with an estimated 128,000 visitors, CASCOR 2024 was hosted in one of the most important architectural landmarks in the city. Designed 63 years ago by architect David Libeskind, the venue features more than 10,000 square meters of built area.

To mark the occasion, over 80 journalists and influencers were invited to Casa Ñe’é LG, the company’s launch event house, which featured the most innovative creations in the market today. Designed by respected architect Nildo José, the 377-square-meter brand space offered a profound reflection on what makes us human. The Né’é in Casa Ñe’é LG is Guarani – a language of the indigenous group of South America (Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay and Bolivia) – meaning “soul,” representing the vital spirit that sustains life and the essence of everything.

The hall’s welcoming atmosphere came in large part from the company’s stylish ARTCOOL Gallery air conditioner and expansive screen, which is comprised of four Transparent OLED displays that leverage several million self-illuminating pixels to illustrate the project’s story in unprecedented detail.

The living room featured LG OLED M3, the world’s first-ever wireless TV. This stunning 97-inch TV comes with the Zero Connect Box, which wirelessly transmits video and audio signals at 4K 120Hz via a fast Wi-Fi connection. The M3 also boasts LG’s One Wall Design, allowing it to mount flush to the wall for a heightened sense of sophistication.

Also on display was the newest LG OLED evo C4, equipped with the AI α9 Gen 7 that significantly enhances performance. In line with LG’s renowned lineup of OLED TVs, this model also features the ultra-slim One Wall Design for a minimalist look and feel.

Casa Ñe’é LG was fully equipped with all the essential appliances: LG InstaView Side by Side smart refrigerator with Craft Ice, LG NeoChef microwave with exclusive Scan to Cook feature, LG Studio electric oven and the InstaView stove.

Top architect Leticia Nannetti was tasked with designing the laundry room with functionality at its core. She delivered this by beautifully integrating the LG WashTower, a premium appliance that fosters moments of interaction, into the interior design to harmonize with the ambiance, evoke sentimental memories and celebrate diversity.

In Isabela Akkari’s healthy café, Flávia Burin and Bruna Monetti of Studio HA sought to answer the question: ‘What ancestors do we want to be?’ With this reflection, the exceptionally talented architects created a space that values beauty and offers hope, using warm shades of pink, fluid forms, fabric ceilings and settings that encourage closeness between people.
Led by chef Isabela Akkari, the cafe not only promoted healthy eating but also featured all of LG’s cutting-edge technology. This includes the Smart LG Inverter Inverse Refrigerator, one of the most economical inverse refrigerators on the market; the LG Grill NeoChef microwave, the only microwave with connectivity; and the LG InstaView Stove, which lights up the interior with just two touches.

Open to visitors until July 28 at São Paulo’s Conjunto Nacional, Casa Ñe’é LG was a great demonstration of how LG’s innovative products can be incorporated into beautiful spaces, providing technological solutions that make daily life simpler and even more efficient.

Milan Design Week, also known as Salone del Mobile, is the world’s preeminent furniture and design fair. Held in Italy’s famous fashion capital, it is a truly global showcase of innovation, creativity and luxurious style. Amidst this year’s celebration of inspiring and aspirational home living, LG presented its latest premium built-in products, including collaborations with renowned designers, at the Signature Kitchen Suite Showroom on Milan’s Piazza Cavour.

Open since 2020, the showroom artfully exhibits the sleek offerings of the Signature Kitchen Suite while introducing visitors to the brand’s True to Food philosophy. This stylish space, where tradition meets innovation, spans three levels – ground floor, basement and mezzanine – each featuring stellar Signature Kitchen Suite built-ins designed and made to the most exacting standards. The advanced appliances on display are complemented by a nature-inspired décor designed by Calvi Brambilla, an esteemed multidisciplinary design studio based in Milan.

One of the showroom’s special zones cleverly evokes the natural beauty of Italy through the use of Milano Pink, a warm, soothing color inspired by the pink hues that adorn the Alps when viewed from Milan at sunset. Visitors can experience the unique value of Signature Kitchen Suite and LG home appliances firsthand by exploring the showroom’s Food Academy and simulated domestic spaces, which include a kitchen, living room, bedroom and laundry room.

Structured around the theme of the Art of Precision, the showroom compellingly conveys the Signature Kitchen Suite design philosophy through a hand-picked selection of artworks and engaging experiential programs. Visitors can discover different examples of the ‘art of precision’ via the exhibit’s Master Craftsmen encounters, where a flavorist, a watchmaker, a baker and a glazier each demonstrate the level of care and skill that LG’s premium built-in brand has come to represent.

A delightful display of delicate origami decorations, which greets guests as they enter the showroom’s reception area, serves as another symbolic tie to the craftsman-like quality of Signature Kitchen Suite appliances. The origami pieces are accompanied by dozens of bottles containing artisanal vanilla essence, each with its own unique aroma.

Coinciding with Milan Design Week, LG showcased a variety of stunning appliances brought to life through its collaborations with high-end furniture brands and design groups. This year, acclaimed furniture designer and architect Patricia Urquiola, known around the world for iconic designs such as the Dudet Chair and Sengu Table, partnered with LG to create a new masterpiece for Signature Kitchen Suite. Visitors to the Signature Kitchen Suite Showroom have the privilege of seeing Urquiola and LG’s ultra-chic undercounter modular refrigerator in person.

A seamless fit for both kitchens and living rooms, Urquiola’s unerringly elegant creation aligns with the popular home and interior design trend of blurring the boundaries between living spaces. Resembling a sophisticated cabinet or set of drawers, the refrigerator offers custom size and color choices to suit the specific needs and preferences of each customer. Its upper compartment can be used for the efficient storage of bottled water, beer, wine (or other beverages) and even cosmetics, while its lower compartment functions as a convenient freezer.

Another aesthetically-unimpeachable appliance that debuted during Salone del Mobile was the Signature Kitchen Suite Wine Cabin. A collaboration between LG and m2atlier, a Milan-based architectural design group, this remarkable piece provides temperature-controlled wine storage in its lower compartment, storage space for wine glasses and bottles in its upper compartment, and a beautiful cigar box in between.

The Wine Cabin’s central rotating base supports a structure that can be customized with different finishes. Encased in micro-ribbed glass, the effortlessly luxe m2atlier design was conceived as a “precious container” for the Signature Kitchen Suite under-shelf wine cellar.

From creative collaborations with leading designers to carefully curated exhibits, the Signature Kitchen Suite Showroom in Milan celebrates the essence of design, technology and luxury living.

Milan Design Week, the world’s largest and most well-known design and furniture fair, is a mecca for the aesthetically-inclined. At this year’s event, the biennially-held EuroCucina exhibition put the spotlight on the latest trends in kitchen appliances and furnishings, with many of the industry’s major players taking part. A regular at Milan Design Week, LG delivered a stunning showcase of premium built-in kitchen appliances at a booth designed by GamFratesi, the acclaimed architecture and design studio co-founded by Italian Enrico Fratesi and Denmark’s Stine Gam.
To highlight both the ultra-premium Signature Kitchen Suite and LG’s built-in appliance lineups, the diverse range of built-in products on display clearly reflected the company’s dedication to promoting an inspired culinary lifestyle centered around the joy of sharing and savoring quality food.

“One particularly memorable episode during our collaboration with LG was the differentiation strategy for Signature Kitchen Suite and LG built-in appliances,” said GamFratesi. “This differentiation strategy was well reflected in the booth design.”

The coming together of Signature Kitchen Suite’s True to Food philosophy – founded on the importance of preserving the original flavors of fresh ingredients – and GamFratesi’s design ethos revealed a new vision for kitchen design. LG’s emphasis on quality natural ingredients was echoed by the natural materials and design elements incorporated into the exhibition booth itself, which also reflected the impact of environment and culture on different cuisine traditions. GamFratesi’s subtle use of wood and stone accentuated the beauty of the natural world while simultaneously drawing attention to the connection we form with the planet when cooking and consuming real food.

“The key points to pay attention to are the design of each island and the materials used,” noted GamFratesi. “Each island represents an independent piece of furniture that reflects our design aesthetic.”

Within the booth’s Signature Kitchen Suite zones, GamFratesi complemented the built-in brand’s gorgeous kitchen appliances with natural materials and finishings. Each display kitchen represented a seamless harmony of appliances, cabinetry, counters and décor, highlighting the transformative power of design to create special sanctuaries that celebrate authentic cooking and nature’s beauty.

Evocative, entertaining, yet entirely elegant, the Signature Kitchen Suite wine cellar zone made a lasting impression on visitors to LG’s booth. Here, GamFratesi drew inspiration from the wine-maturation process to craft a calm, almost-meditative space with a ‘cave-like’ sense of depth and a rich, atmospheric mood.

Although the synergy between LG’s built-in appliances and GamFratesi’s kitchen designs is undeniable, the process of smoothly integrating the two for the Milan Design Week showcase was not without challenges. However, through the thoughtful and purposeful placement of appliances with distinct functionalities, and via the introduction of LG’s panel-ready concept, the two innovative companies achieved the ultimate union of form and function. The results, as one can see from the images, speak for themselves.
Through the unprecedented fusion of design, technology and space, the compelling collaboration between LG and GamFratesi presented a new kind of value and a refined kitchen lifestyle. As demonstrated at Milan Design Week, and at other major exhibitions around the world, LG is committed to partnering with like-minded innovators who share its passion for pushing boundaries and elevating everyday life.
