No photos shown, no ethernet works

Lorenzo Naselli

Question

Hi everyone, i purchased new OLED OLED55CX6LA.

I have two big issues

Ethernet isnt working, It says that the cable Is connected, It obtains ip address, everything Is green in the test Page, but apps cant get internet access, sometimes i can also see directories in the Nas, but cant open any file.

everything works under wifi.

I cant see amy photo under dlna, It says that all directories are empty, nothing seen on Nas or phone connected with thinq app.   Video are shown.

Thats Disappointing for a 1500€ TV.

@Lorenzo Naselli Is your Ethernet LAN cable going DIRECT to your router, or are you using a PLA (Power Line Adaptor), or a SWITCH? Hopefully NOT an old HUB, as those are NOT intelligent with hardware MAC addresses, and use all ports for all packets!! Most switches (e.g D-LINK 1GB Hub) can store 1024 MAC addresses.

Ensure you have the latest Firmware in the TV (03.11.30) in case there is an undocumented item that LG fixed that helps you.

In the meantime, are you saying that connecting the TV to the WiFi works fine? NOTE: some complex APPS (e.g. AirPlay etc.) do NOT have all packets, i.e. Discovery packets, sent from WiFi connections to Ethernet ports, as some routers block those.

Please also let us know your router make and model, it might help.

Asking this hear, since I could not seem to find a better place... Wake on LAN only works for a few minutes after TV is turned off?  If I turn of LG TV (WebOS 8.x) and then send a Wake on LAN (WoL) packet, it works.  If turn off the LG TV, then I wait about 15 minutes or so, then send the same WoL sequence, using the same code, script, etc., it fails, the LG TV never turns on.  THe LG TV is configured both for wired ethernet (preferred) and WiFi.  Any idea why this behavior?  It almost seems like the LG TV goes into standby, via phone app, remote, even CEC, etc., then drops from the network?  Mobile is enabled on the TV, hence the phone app works.  Why would the LG TV stop responding to WoL packets?

Brand new LG TV (WebOS 8x) WILL NOT stay off when turned off with the remote?  Out of the box, connected to internet, seems to have been updated, and working fine.  But when I hit the power off with the remote, the TV reports 'Life is Good' seems to turn off, i.e. go into standby, and then a few seconds later, turns back on.  If the device connected to the TV on the last active HDMI port is OFF, I get the No Signal warning.  So I know the active HDMI input is not generating any signal.  I want to believe that any other device on any other HDMI port might be an issue? But then the TV would switch to that HDMI port, no?  This is really an issue!  If I use the phone app I can turn off the TV and it seems to stay off, at least does not come back on in a few seconds like the remote?  If I send 'standby' via HDMI-CEC, that seems to work as well, the TV seems to stay in standby mode.  This a bug?

      Hi,
      New user on here.
I bought this new TV last week and it is honestly driving me bananas.
When I click "Home" after using an App, etc, it brings me to the WebOS interface but then automatically selects the last used device (e.g. Fire stick, LG Channels, etc) despite me not wanting it to.
Is it possible to disable this, i.e. "Home" brings me to WebOS and stays there? I'm sure its a setting etc which I'm missing.
Device is LG UQ91 43 inch 4K Smart UHD TV, pretty sure its all up to date.
      Thanks in advance.

Hi - I have a strange issue where I choose my computer connected via HDMI to my LG C7 TV - the screen has an orange color.
This has only been happening recently and no other channel is affected. TV/Netflix etc channels all totally fine.
Any ideas how to fix this?
      Thanks!
