Standard HDMI CEC support, or at least GigaBlue support

After replacing my D series Samsung with LG W7V I had discovered that HDMI CEC on the top model from 2017 does not do things that my TV from 2008 does.

I have GigaBlue Quad Sat Receiver, which I do not want to give up on, as it is much more versatile than built in tuner of the TV. (e.g. streaming over network etc)

Old TV recognized receiver as 'tuner" device and forwarded most keys to it.

 

But LG asks to specify model, Gigablue is not available as an option and nothing but switching on/off and selecting source works.

In HDMI CEC test plugin on the sat receiver I could see that NONE of the keys are being sent, TV keeps asking/sending Vendor ID.

 

In 2017 having problems like this is ridiculous.

      Latest software update broke HDMI on my LG OLED G2?

      Up until a few days ago my TV and AVR have been working perfectly since I bought it.
      Zero hassles with HDMI and connectivity.
      Then I was prompted to update to the latest software version which I did and now often when I switch HDMI (running on 1) it picks up the device name, CEC works but I get “No Signal”… and then nothing.
      Just stays on “No Signal”. It is almost as if some HDMI handshake breaks and now the driver is in a broken state.
      I’ve found that if I hard power off and power on the device sometimes works but I don’t want to do that every time especially since it’s hard to get to the power.
      This really strikes me as a software issue with the latest update as absolutely nothing else has changed in my setup.
      I’ve tried:
      Different HDMI cables (high quality) Deep colour settings Reset the TV to factory default Different HDMI ports TV
      Model: OLED65G26LA / OLED65G26LA.HFBQLWK WebOS TV Version: 8.3.0.2301 Software Version: 13.30.56 AVR & Devices
      Marantz SR5015 Nvidia Shield Pro PS5
        The setup is the conventional AVR installation as shown in the attached file

       
      Has anyone else experienced this? 
      Is it possible to revert the software update?

      Hi everyone, 
      I wish LG would consider updating their Codecs list or at least give us a way of installing this codecs in our TV manually. i know my TV is capable of playing a lot of stuff but i'm always stuck with "not supported" for most of the media i have. 
      One of the most wished stuff i'd love to see is 
      Added support for H.264 10bit (still very popular and used a lot) 
      as well as Opus codecs (its a Free codec and its getting a lot use recently especially with H.265 MKV videos) 
      Like i said, please add this codecs and more or at least give us a way of doing it ourselves. i know there might be legal issues and some codecs are payed, so just let us install it ourselves instead.

      LG TV volume control using Apple TV 4K with HDMI CEC

      I wish I could control the volume of my LG TV 65NANO96SNA (webOS 4.50.71) using Apple TV 4K 3rd Generation (tvOS 17.3) with HDMI CEC (Belkin AV10176bt2M-BLK cable). The Apple TV has it on Settings, however, the TV does not respond to it. Turn on/off works. Volume control only works with IR. Could we prepare an update to support and fix it?
