Android TV Box problem

Andywool

Question

Ok, I'm hoping someone can help me with a problem I'm having with an Android TV box.

First I bought an

box from Amazon for £60 and was having trouble with the box's display settings (I wasn't sure weather the box was at fault or the TV).
When I tried to select one of the 4K settings on the box the screen would flash and distort like crazy, when I tried to select one of the 1080p settings it wasn't as bad but still flickered badly. When I selected one of the 1080i settings it was fine, but no good if I wanted to play 4K content.

I tried flashing different ROM's on the box, custom and stock, each one had different results. I found an older stock ROM which was fine with all of the 4K settings but XBMC was crashing a lot.

I thought the box was faulty so sent it back and ordered a T8-AML V2 box from droidsticks for just over £100 which is very similar to the M8, and guess what, It has exactly the same problem as the M8, not being able to select certain display settings etc. So, looks like i'm gonna have to send that one back also.

I'm thinking that these boxes are incompatible with the TV I have (55UB850V - Firmware 04.36.32) Maybe it's the TV's firmware that is the problem?

I've tried different HDMI ports, but still exactly the same.

Have any of you guys got one of these TV boxes and have had any trouble with it? or could you recommend a box that will work with my TV?

Thanks.

It is easy to add a new item to the quick settings side menu on an lg c2, as long as the item you want is shown on the list presented when you choose  the + add item.  If you want to add a "shortcut" to an item that is not on the list then how can that be done.  Is it possible to edit the list presented?
Specifically I want to add a shortcut to "subtitles on" which is buried deep in accessibility settings,  there nothing on the list of options presented to allow this.

      Hi Team,
After update of LG WebOS to 04.40.70, Amazon Prime Video app on my LG Smart TV stopped working. It started giving error :
      Internet Connectivity Problem
There is an internet connection problem. Check the device's internet settings, data cables, or try to resetting your router. Also, turning your device off, and then back on might fix the problem. For further assistance, please contact Amazon customer service at www.amazon.com/videohelp
The internet/wifi connection is fine and all the other apps are working without any issue on the LG smart TV.
I have even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Prime video app, but that didn't help.
Has anyone faced this issue ? Is there a solution available for this issue.
      Thanks & Regards,
      Nitin

Hi guys. im in the process of purchasing an LG TV.
i concluded on some models and i need your help as the information on the net is confusing and misleading. i was looking these 2 similar models:
      the one is
link hidden, please login to view which in my country is advertised as 65NANO826QB and the other one is this  which here is also advertised as 65NANO786QA. My first questing is the 766 is Direct lid which from what i have read is better than Edge lid of 816 but 816 is more expensive. im i missing something ? the only thing 816 has is local dimming which from some reviewers that is plain awful on this TV.
My other question is that those TVs are advertised in Europe as 50Hz. How will they cope with YouTube's and Netflix's 60 fps content. I have read somewhere that they can also do 60Hz natively but because of the region they are advertised as 50 but the panel is the same.

Also i came across this one which is about 200 euros more expensive. Does it worth it? im no gamer. The only thing i do is watching movies preferably 4K, sports and racing will it benefit from the 100/120Hz panel and QNED technology?
