Hello all, just got a new B5 55" which im pretty happy with, but I've seen people in AVS forums and reddit say to run a 5% grey scale or 95% grey scale test (some are 5 some are 95 at the same Darkeness) in a dark setting and wow theres stuff all over my screen. But I also read that this can subside over time of use. My TV has under 50 hours on it... how much time does it take for these to start to fade? Or is this something I should be contacting LG support over? New to OLED so not sure what to really expect here. I'll attach some photos so people can see, also so that if I need to contact LG in future I can prove that this is not a new issue and my TV came like this. I don't really notice it in most content. I have in games in a very dark area when panning up and down. But those thick bars going across the bottom and middle are a bit concerning, also I read that one shouldn't force the hard core pixel cleaning on a new TV because that can shorten it's life span and to let the automatic short ones do their work..

Have you found a solution? Of it faded away a bit ?

I bought Hisense A85Q OLED, which has an LG WOLED display as well, and unfortunately I have this as well. Not as bad as your TV, although in pictures captured by the phones it's always looks worse than in real life, but still I can seen the on some scenes, not always thought thankfully.

I just got mine a 3 days ago, and I've been told that I have to give it a "Breaks-in" time to settle itself which is around 100-200h+ time.

I highly doubt that this this is the case, but I guess returning it, and getting new, can be a lottery to get slightly better or even worse.

And from the bigger distance it's also less visible, which I have mine like 1-1.5m from my bed so I think it might be too close for 55 inch though 😅

Nope haven't faded after 300 hours, taking it back an going for a C5, hopefully I'll have better luck. I checked out a possible new B5 exchange in store and it had the same thick bands in the center and bottom of the screen but visible even on like 30% screen even in a fully lit store so yeah that was a no. It's gonna add another $700 on top of what I paid for the B5 for the C5 but if it has bands visible in use I'll exchange that as well until I get one that is acceptable. Because $1700 is a lot to put up with uniformity problems

This is what I have on mine, at maximum possible brightness, although I made a pic with Pro Mode on my phone to exclude any heavy post processing, and still is a bit worse on the pic than in real life, also this is only visible at certain very rarely situations, and from the distance shorter than 1-1.5m.

Since I increased my distance for 2-2.5m and at normal brightness level is barely visible, and most of the time only because my brain now they are there, and at games, movies, normal content even the near-black one if I forgot about it, I don't even notice it.

Could be worse to have LED Bleeding from IPS/VA screens, but unfortunately all WOLED will have them, because that's the nature of it, some more some less, some might improve with time, but I'm not sure you'll find a perfect one, but you might find a slightly better than your or worse and just waste more time chasing the white rabbit.

Thats actually not too bad. Mines even worse when I dont use the zoom on my camera and take a pic up close in the full dark, granted it is over exposed (1st pic rest are normal) but this is supposed to be a $1300 (cad) TV I did get it on sale on boxing week for $1050 after tax, but still this is crazy. The stripe in the middle in games is so annoying with darker areas or walls that are like dark green or grey, and the top 3rd of the screen with all those little stripes... it's not too bad in shows and movies when its bright but when you get darker themed stuff they start to come out. Now if I get the C5 and it's got bad problems for what I'm gonna pay, I wont be happy, and may go Samsung QD-OLED. Hope you're watching LG

I got a C5 55" instead,  its much better band wise but I will say it does have some blue kinda tinted areas. Not terrible at least for now, but as its new im gonna document it in case it gets worse so LG cant say its burn in or something. Its not nearly as annoying as horizontal bands everywhere in games and content but on certain greys and whites or certain backgrounds can be seen. But for now its definitely more palatable than terrible stripes across the screen in all things.
