I have noticed a problem with webOS, i have С4 OLED and G5 OLED - and all of them running videos on youtube at low 1080p or no higher that 1440p with 50/60p - and i don't understand why.. everywhere else is fine, but on webOS is 50/50 i tried every codec possible and everytime my videos stuck on 1080p or 1440p - it's a problem! please fix it!

PS everything is fine if i upload 4k25p or 4k30p

PSS it's a problem only on webOS - on PC or android everything is OK.

I f. Hate this. I'll never buy an LG tv again. So much bugs... Even with the updates every month they still can't repair the d. YouTube !!! My old Xiaomi TV worked like a charm, being low budget 4k TV. And this just a shame for LG.

Maybe someone knows is there like codecs for YouTube WebOS specifications? I'm using Filmora to edit my videos and DJI studio, I've tried every setting available to export.. only 25p 4k is thats works .. maybe I'm doing something wrong? But if that's the case, it wouldn't work on PC or android ..?!

i've the entry level 43'' LED tv but Youtube can always run on 2160p.............maybe becoz i'm using a LAN cable and not WiFi ??

You don't understand, it.runs 4k, but not always. I film my video on DJI cams and export them on Filmora or any other program (tried them all) and if export my videos high bitrate or 50/60 fps it will stuck with 1080p or 1440p.

You can watch my video for example -

It's stuck on 1440p on webos, but if you run it on Android on PC it will be 4k50p.

okay................if the tv is still under warranty - maybe can get their technician to come take a look ?

It's a not warranty, I have a friend with new G5, he have the same issue with YouTube.. and people all over internet have the same issue with YouTube.. and it seems like LG don't give a sh. about it...

I found a solutuon guys! if some one needs this, well i found out, that lg don't like 10bit normal color profile on cameras, like dji and don't like HEVC codec... i took me like half a year to understand this...

ok if you having trouble to play your videos on youtube in 4k50 or 60fps and it gives you only 1080 or 1440p. then you need to turn off the 10bit normal color profiles and export your videos in old 264 codec, that's will cure this... i will never buy lg tv again. if they will run that stupid webos. ANDROID don't have this issues.

I recently bought a 50NANO90A6B TV and so far I have to say it's a fantastic upgrade from my old Sony 40".
However, I've one small niggle problem (only had the TV since Sunday)... The YouTube app doesn't seem to want to work! it shows the logo with a spinny circle, then the logo starts again with the spinny circle... this just repeats over and over.
All other apps (iPlayer, Jellyfin, Plex, ITV, CH4 etc...) work as does the LGTV app, so the WiFi connection is fine!
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the YouTube app a few times, but it does the same each time!
Anyone know how I can sort this? any other suggestions for fixing it!
I'm currently using my Chromecast with GoogleTV for YouTube at the moment.
I'm in the UK by the way! And the TV is set to that, in all the relevant settings locations.
