LG Welcomes Customers to Next-Generation Retail Experiences at TAKANAWA Gateway City’s
NEWoMan TAKANAWA With Advanced Transparent OLED and Micro LED
SEOUL, Sep. 10, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) is redefining the future of retail and urban experience marketing by bringing its most advanced display technologies to one of Japan’s most anticipated commercial destinations. With its latest Transparent OLED Signage and ultra-premium Micro LED display, LG is reinforcing its global leadership in high-value retail and transportation hub displays – delivering immersive digital experiences that seamlessly blend into the world’s most iconic venues.
LG has supplied its Transparent OLED Signage and ultra-high-definition Micro LED signage, LG MAGNIT, to NEWoMan TAKANAWA, a flagship complex opening near TAKANAWA Gateway Station in Tokyo.
NEWoMan TAKANAWA is the centerpiece of the TAKANAWA Gateway Station area’s urban regeneration initiative, conducted by LUMINE, a subsidiary of the East Japan Railway Company. As a comprehensive shopping center with a total floor area of approximately 60,000 square meters and around 180 stores, its grand opening is set for September 12, following a partial pre-opening in March.
Transparent OLED Signage: Blending Digital and Physical Worlds
In the event hall on the third floor of the North Building, LG has installed a massive 380-inch Transparent OLED display to offer visitors an innovative spatial experience that creates a unique fusion of real and virtual environments. To achieve this impressive scale while maintaining a sense of openness rather than confinement, sixteen 55-inch Transparent OLED Signage units have been arranged in an eight-by-two configuration.
LG’s Transparent OLED Signage brings a new level of design freedom with its see-through display that blends effortlessly into any setting. Thanks to its modular design, panels can be seamlessly connected on all sides, enabling the creation of transparent video walls in of virtually any size.
LG MAGNIT: Ultra-Premium Micro LED Displays
LG MAGNIT displays have been installed at the second-floor entrances of the North and South buildings. Using Micro LEDs smaller than the width of a human hair (under 100 micrometers), LG MAGNIT delivers self-emissive light and color with clear picture quality, high color reproduction accuracy and precise image processing.
In the North Building, a vertical 2.4-meter-wide by 7.45-meter-high LG MAGNIT captivates visitors with its vivid imagery, while in the South Building, a horizontal 9-meter-wide by 2.02-meter-high display follows the customer pathway, enhancing spatial immersion.
Strengthening Presence in Japan’s Competitive Market
In Japan – often considered a challenging market for foreign brands – LG is making significant inroads with its premium signage and its OLED TVS, which boast superior picture quality defined by perfect color and perfect black. The company is solidifying its leadership in the premium segment, maintaining the top position in the ultra-large OLED TV market (70 inches and above) since last year.
Proven Performance in Iconic Venues Worldwide
LG’s premium signage serves as a display solution that enhances the value of the space at major global landmarks. At Gardens by the Bay in Singapore, 55-inch Transparent OLED Signage units provide visitors with detailed plant information while blending seamlessly into the lush natural surroundings.
“We will strengthen our leadership in the global retail display market with ultra-premium solutions that deliver not only superior visual quality but also transformative customer experiences,” said Paik Ki-mun, head of Information Display Business at the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company. “Our Transparent OLED and Micro LED technologies are enabling retailers and developers to reimagine their spaces with displays that inform, inspire and captivate.”

A Genuine Gamechanger, LG’s Ultra Short Throw Projector Presents 4K Picture
Quality, Dolby Atmos Support and Built-in webOS in a Sleek, Portable Package
SEOUL, Aug. 5, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) today announced the beginning of the global rollout of the LG CineBeam S (model PU615U), a compact yet powerful 4K Ultra Short Throw (UST) projector designed to deliver premium home entertainment and unprecedented flexibility. Building on the legacy of the LG CineBeam Q, the new model elevates viewer immersion with vibrant, large-scale images in stunning 4K (3,840 x 2,160) and cinematic audio with dynamic Dolby Atmos sound. Introducing the concept of “Wonder beyond spatial limits,” the stylish LG CineBeam S can turn even the smallest space into a premier personal theater.
LG’s latest CineBeam projector combines advanced UST technology and an exceptionally small, aesthetically pleasing form factor to provide maximum space efficiency, effortless portability and a memorable big-screen experience. Positioned as close as 8.1 centimeters from the screen or projection surface, this elegantly designed UST projector reproduces bright, detailed pictures measuring from 40 inches (at 8.1 centimeter) up to 100 inches (at 39.3 centimeter) diagonally. Unlike conventional projectors that require long throw distances and complex mounting setups, the CineBeam S is supremely easy to set up – ideal for situations where space is at a premium. Its tiny footprint means there is no need to move furniture or rearrange the room to create the optimal conditions for installation.
The CineBeam S produces brilliant 4K images – adjustable in size from 40 to 100 inches – that are just as crisp and clear in the daytime as they are at night. Its advanced RGB laser system offers 154 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, guaranteeing accurate color reproduction that helps preserve the creative intent behind each piece of content. With 500 ANSI lumens brightness and a 450,000:1 contrast ratio, it ensures deep blacks and rich, lifelike colors under any ambient lighting conditions.
Designed to fit seamlessly into customers’ lifestyles, the LG CineBeam S offers a range of convenient features that promote versatile usability. A complete home cinema solution, it comes equipped with built-in stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos for spacious and dynamic audio. The integration of LG’s webOS smart TV platform gives users access to a host of popular streaming services along with intuitive control and convenient content discovery.
For more entertainment options, users can connect external devices through the projector’s physical ports (HDMI x 1 and USB Type-C x 2), or stream content wirelessly from a smartphone, tablet or PC via AirPlay 2 and Screen Share. Setup is fast and simple, thanks to Auto Screen Adjustment, which enables sharp, perfectly aligned visuals in practically any viewing environment. Users can further fine-tune visual output without physically moving the projector through Screen Scaling & Shifting, and utilize the Wall Color Adjustment feature for projection onto non-white surfaces.
Beyond performance, the CineBeam S also impresses with its subtle, yet eye-catching minimalist design completed with an elegant metallic finish, seamlessly blending into any interior space as an aesthetic object. Its small size allows for easy placement on a shelf or table and provides excellent portability, giving users the freedom to take the projector with them wherever they go. A triumph of form and function, the LG CineBeam S packs powerful projection technology into an ultra-compact unit that fits comfortably in one hand, measuring 110 × 160 × 160 millimeters and weighing 1.9 kilograms. The model also ships with a redesigned remote that offers a more refined look and a more natural control experience compared to the LG CineBeam Q. Additionally, support for the LG ThinQ app lets users operate the projector with their smartphone.
“The LG CineBeam S is a testament to our commitment to innovation, and to bringing a truly premium home cinema experience to a wider audience,” said YS Lee, head of IT Business at the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company. “This isn’t just a projector; it’s a premium lifestyle solution that combines design and technology excellence to deliver unprecedented flexibility and a new kind of customer value.”

Ballpark Transformed With 11 Digital Signage Displays Including
Main Videoboard and Ribbon Boards Spanning 842 Square Meters
SEOUL, April 8, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) is strengthening its leadership in the global commercial display market by providing state-of-the-art display solutions to Fenway Park, the home of the Boston Red Sox and the oldest ballpark in Major League Baseball (MLB).
In late March, LG installed a massive main LED videoboard in centerfield at Fenway Park, measuring 30.5 meters wide by 11.5 meters high and covering an area of 350.75 square meters. Additionally, LG delivered a comprehensive display solution comprising 11 digital signage installations. These screens span a combined area of approximately 842 square meters, including a notable 171 square-meter ribbon board display measuring 21.6 meters wide by 7.9 meters high.
Featuring sophisticated High Dynamic Range technology, LG’s commercial displays strike a meticulous balance between dark and bright elements to deliver exceptionally clear and lifelike imagery. They offer high luminance exceeding 7,000 nits, IP65-rated water and dust resistance, as well as flexible configurations – all tailored to the outdoor conditions of stadium environments.
Starting April 4 (local time), fans had the opportunity to experience the action of the game in vivid detail, delivered by LG’s LED signage displays during the home opener – the first Fenway Park matchup of the 2025 MLB season between the Boston Red Sox and the St. Louis Cardinals.
LG’s innovative display solutions are set to lead the transformation of the beloved Massachusetts ballpark, the iconic stadium that has shared in the joys and sorrows of American baseball fans for more than a century since its opening in 1912.
With a focus on redefining the fan experience, LG has established a strategic partnership with ANC, the agency managing stadium operations and advertising on behalf of Fenway Sports Group, the owner of the Boston Red Sox. Together, they aim to deliver immersive entertainment to sports fans across various regions in the United States, including Boston.
“This collaboration will elevate the in-venue experience for our fans with cutting-edge technology while also expanding LG’s presence through dynamic activations that will engage Red Sox Nation all season long,” said Troup Parkinson, Chief Marketing & Partnerships Officer for the Boston Red Sox.
Meanwhile, LG is accelerating its media entertainment platform-based service business, targeting global sports fans by integrating the display businesses – which include TVs, monitors and signage – under its Media Entertainment Solution (MS) Company.
Earlier this year, LG partnered with AMB Sports and Entertainment to provide displays spanning 141 square meters inside the perimeter of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. LG’s commercial display innovations, including LG MAGNIT and indoor/outdoor LED signage, can also be found at Atomic Golf, a massive entertainment complex in Las Vegas.
“We are thrilled to be able to strengthen our partnerships with prestigious global sports franchises,” said Park Hyoung-sei, president of the LG MS Company. “We will continue to enhance the value of customer spaces and strive to provide differentiated media entertainment experiences.”
