Image-Eun-Seok-hyun-600x400.jpgAs president of the LG Vehicle Solution (VS) Company, IAA Mobility 2025 gave me the opportunity to present our vision to a global audience. I had the privilege of sharing the stage with Chris Jo, senior vice president and head of LG’s webOS Platform Business Center, along with our partners from Xbox and Zoom. Together, we are defining what it takes to transform the car into a true living space on wheels.

LG Automotive Content Platform: Driving the Future of In-Cabin Connectivity
As Chris Jo highlighted, we have extended webOS – trusted across 240 million devices worldwide – into vehicles with our webOS-based Automotive Content Platform (ACP). This enables automakers to deliver rich multimedia experiences such as OTT streaming, cloud gaming and video conferencing on a global scale. With full UI/UX customization and new revenue opportunities, the webOS platform is moving beyond the living room and shaping the future of the mobility ecosystem.

Xbox: Cloud Gaming Hits the Road
For Xbox, this partnership is an exciting moment, finding a new way to bring the joy of gaming to more people. Chris Lee, Vice President of Marketing at Xbox, noted the challenge of bringing the Xbox experience from TVs into cars, particularly around performance and seamless integration.

Image-IAA-MOBILITY-2025_02-600x400.jpeg

By leveraging our ACP, Xbox delivers a quality in-car gaming experience via its popular cloud gaming service, while LG manages the essential integration and certification work. This means passengers can access the same trusted Xbox Cloud Gaming service wherever they travel – during a charging stop or long road trip. Chris described it as making the journey “not only more entertaining but supporting the flexibility players expect from Xbox,” and I believe this underscores the true value of collaboration.

Zoom: Meetings on Wheels
Brendan Ittelson, Chief Ecosystem Officer at Zoom, spoke about creating a consistent collaboration experience across different vehicles – a vision that naturally aligns with ours. By integrating directly with our webOS-based ACP, Zoom can deliver updates and improvements as soon as they’re ready without waiting on OEM software cycles.

Image-IAA-MOBILITY-2025_03-600x400.jpeg

Drivers can join meetings safely in voice-only mode, and passengers can attend camera-enabled video calls, while Zoom AI Companion automatically captures summaries and action items in the background. As Brendan explained, “The in-cabin experience is quickly shifting from passive to purposeful,” becoming a place where people can stay connected and productive without sacrificing safety.

Affectionate Intelligence for the Road Ahead
Looking at the bigger picture, the future of in-vehicle innovation will be shaped by AI – what we call “Affectionate Intelligence” – that not only understands users but also seamlessly integrates functions for safety, entertainment, communication and comfort. To transform vehicles into true extensions of living spaces, LG must take on the role of orchestrator, working closely with our content partners and automakers to create a genuinely human-centered mobility ecosystem.

Image-IAA-MOBILITY-2025_04-600x400.jpeg

My key takeaway from the panel was that each of us – LG, Xbox and Zoom – brings distinct strengths to the table. Xbox is taking a bold step into automotive gaming, Zoom is working to redefine productivity on the move and LG is driving toward an AI-powered mobility ecosystem. Guided by these shared goals, the path forward is clear.

With webOS at the core and trusted partners by our side, we are accelerating platform-driven growth in mobility. The future of the car won’t just be about transportation – it will be about creating experiences that connect, entertain and empower us wherever the road leads.

Expanding the Boundaries of High-Resolution Gaming With a New
Lineup Spanning OLED, New MiniLED and Ultra-Wide Formats

SEOUL, Dec. 26, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) announced today the global launch of its new premium gaming monitor brand, UltraGear evo, set to debut at CES® 2026. Building on LG’s established leadership in 5K and 5K2K gaming displays, UltraGear evo expands the boundaries of high-resolution gaming with a portfolio of 5K-and-above monitors spanning OLED, New MiniLED and ultra-wide formats, combining ultra-high definition, speed and immersion across multiple form factors. The inaugural UltraGear evo lineup features three flagship models – 39GX950B, 27GM950B and 52G930B – united by a shared foundation of high-resolution excellence.
At the heart of this evolution is LG’s commitment to uncompromised image quality, reinforced by a newly introduced on-device AI solution. This proprietary technology powers the world’s first 5K AI Upscaling technology.* This technology achieves stunning 5K-class clarity without the burden of GPU upgrades and allows gamers to enjoy a wider range of content in high definition – transcending original resolution limits.
39-Inch 5K2K OLED Gaming Monitor With 5K AI Upscaling
The LG UltraGear evo 39-inch GX9 (39GX950B) builds on the legacy of the GX9 series as a 39-inch 5K2K OLED gaming monitor that delivers uncompromised visual quality and immersive gameplay. Building on this foundation, with the new on-device AI solution, the monitor analyzes and enhances content in real time before it reaches the panel, delivering stunning 5K-class clarity without requiring GPU upgrades. This goes beyond resolution, incorporating AI Scene Optimization and AI Sound, the monitor refines images and audio performance for a more immersive audiovisual experience.
Visual performance is enhanced by LG’s Primary RGB Tandem OLED technology, delivering improved brightness, color accuracy and panel longevity with perfect black and lifelike colors. Designed to adapt to different gaming genres, the Dual Mode feature allows seamless switching between 165Hz at 5K2K resolution and 330Hz at WFHD, supported by an ultra-fast 0.03ms (GtG) response time – enabling gamers to prioritize either visual fidelity or ultra-smooth competitive play.
The 1500R-curved 21:9 ultrawide display that retains the vertical height of a 32-inch screen while expanding horizontal immersion for both gaming and multitasking. With a pixel density of 142 PPI and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification, the monitor delivers detailed highlights and deep blacks even in the darkest scenes.
World’s First 5K New MiniLED Monitor Solving for Blooming
The LG UltraGear evo 27-inch GM9 (27GM950B) sets a new standard for 27-inch gaming monitors as the world’s first 5K New MiniLED display designed to dramatically improve blooming control. By effectively minimizing halo effects that commonly affect high-resolution MiniLED displays, the monitor delivers professional grade 5K precision with exceptional optical clarity. Featuring 2,304 local dimming zones, combined with Zero Optical Distance engineering that minimizes the gap between the panel and LED, the monitor delivers ultra-high luminance and refined contrast accuracy that preserves fine details across bright and dark scenes alike.
Like the 39-inch GX9, the 27GM950B incorporates the on-device AI solution, enabling 5K AI Upscaling, AI Scene Optimization and AI Sound to enhance image and audio in real time without GPU overhead.
For versatile gaming performance, the monitor supports Dual Mode operation, allowing users to switch between 165Hz at 5K resolution and 330Hz at QHD, paired with a fast 1ms (GtG) response time. Certified VESA DisplayHDR 1000 and delivering peak brightness of up to 1,250 nits, the display ensures vivid highlights, intense flames and sharp flashes of light are rendered with striking realism alongside deep, controlled blacks.
      World’s Largest 52-Inch 5K2K 240Hz Gaming Monitor
The LG UltraGear evo 52-inch G9 (52G930B) introduces a new class of large-format gaming displays as the world’s largest 5K2K gaming monitor, offering gamers an unprecedented range of screen size options within the UltraGear evo lineup. The expansive scale is paired with a blazing-fast 240Hz refresh rate, ensuring consistent responsiveness and image fidelity.
The massive screen features the vertical viewing height of a standard 42-inch 16:9 display, stretching horizontally for an expansive 12:9 panoramic view. This form factor provides a workspace 33 percent wider than a standard UHD monitor. A 1000R curvature encloses the user’s peripheral vision for seamless immersion. Visuals are equally impactful delivering vivid color and deep contrast validated by VESA Display HDR 600.
“The new UltraGear evo marks a definitive turning point, signaling the end of compromises in gaming display performance. With innovations like industry-first 5K AI Upscaling, the lineup ensures that whether gamers prefer perfect blacks, unmatched brightness, or expansive scale, they can enjoy the same high standard of performance, clarity and immersion in high resolution,” said Lee Choong-hwoan, head of the Display Business at the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company. “This reflects our excellence in delivering high-resolution technology not only to the B2C gaming market but also through precision-driven B2B solutions like medical monitors.”
The bar-raising LG UltraGear evo lineup is set to be showcased at CES 2026. Visitors can experience the evo lineup’s high-quality visuals through two zones: the “Dream Setup” inspired by the Reddit’s gaming communities and a SimCraft-powered racing simulation featuring the new 39-inch GX9.
In addition to the new evo series, sales of the UltraGear GX7 (27GX790B) will commence in global markets on the opening day of CES 2026. This 27-inch gaming monitor boasts a QHD Primary RGB Tandem OLED display, 540Hz refresh rate and Dual Mode (HD 720Hz), matching the high expectations of avid gamers.

      * AI features, including 5K AI Upscaling, AI Scene Optimization and AI Sound, are exclusively available on the 39GX950B and 27GM950B models equipped with the on-device AI solution.

At LG Electronics, Better Life for All is more than a corporate vision or tagline – it’s a guiding principle that shapes everything we create. Central to our inclusive vision is a belief in universal design: the philosophy of crafting products and experiences to deliver convenience and comfort for everyone, regardless of age, gender or physical ability.
Committed to this philosophy, LG aims to go beyond functional innovation to provide unique lifestyle solutions that truly put people first. A deep understanding of our customers and the diverse environments in which they live is essential to this endeavor, which is why listening to the voice of the customer is such an integral part of our design process.
We have established systems to directly integrate real user feedback, especially from those with limited mobility – and seniors and children – into the product development stage. This includes operating an advisory group of people with disabilities and conducting in-depth usability testing. Both of these elements have proven instrumental in helping us to identify and minimize even the smallest points of user discomfort.
Designing with Empathy, Delivering with Purpose
Design at LG has always been about more than aesthetics. It’s about innovating with empathy to ensure usability, ease and enjoyment for all. For us, universal design is not just an outcome, but a mindset shared by all our teams – one that infuses human-centeredness into every decision, no matter how minor or inconsequential it may seem to someone looking in from the outside. From the first concept sketch to the final product experience, we view every touchpoint as an opportunity to make someone’s daily life simpler, safer and more enjoyable.
This approach requires us to design with people rather than for them. It challenges our teams to think beyond convention, to question what “easy to use” truly means and to continuously refine our technology to better meet and adapt to real human needs. When empathy is woven into the design process itself, innovation follows naturally. That is how we translate inclusivity from principle to practice.
Turning Philosophy into Practice: The Comfort Kit
Putting this philosophy into action, we launched the Comfort Kit – a series of affixable assistive kits designed to allow anyone to use our products easily, regardless of their gender, age or physical condition.
      Some examples:

Easy Handle: Enables users with limited hand mobility to open washers and dryers with minimal effort.
Easy Ball: Helps those with reduced finger dexterity to manipulate control dials with ease.
Easy Hanger: Allows people using wheelchairs, or those who are shorter than average, to interact comfortably with the LG Styler.
Rotating Shelf: Improves refrigerator usability by making it easier to access hard-to-reach items. We have presented inclusive design solutions that improve the usability of existing products, becoming the first in the home appliance industry to introduce 14 accessibility-enhancing kits. These Comfort Kit series, designed to remove the “one-size-fits-some” barrier that many customers have long faced, are also sustainably manufactured – reflecting our commitment to protecting the planet.
      Recognition Beyond Design

Our efforts have not gone unnoticed. Globally, we are recognized as a model company for inclusive design.
We’ve shared our accessibility technologies and design philosophy at forums such as the CSUN Assistive Technology Conference, where the Comfort Kit series was welcomed by both consumers and organizations advocating for underrepresented communities.
We also showcased this work at important global exhibitions such as IFA and CES. Our dedication to good design earned us the “Design Awards Grand Slam” – winning top honors at all three major global design awards, Red Dot, iF, and IDEA.
These accolades matter to us, but more importantly, they reflect our deep conviction that inclusive design is not just a feature – it’s a responsibility.
      Designing for a Better Tomorrow
For us at LG, realizing the Better Life for All vision means creating unique products and experiences that feel right for everyone, and can be enjoyed by anyone. We will continue to advance accessibility so that all customers can take advantage of everything that our products and services have to offer. No caveats or compromises, only convenience and comfort.

As we celebrate LG’s 35-year journey in Indonesia, I am filled with both gratitude and optimism for what lies ahead. Our presence in this vibrant nation has been more than a business story – it has been a partnership built on shared growth, innovation and resilience.
Aligning With Indonesia’s Industrial Vision for Sustainable Growth
Indonesia’s manufacturing sector continues to be a vital driver of national progress, contributing between 17 and 20 percent of the country’s GDP and employing more than 20 percent of the workforce. The Industrial Services Roadmap 2025–2045 sets out a bold vision to expand industry, create future-ready jobs and integrate technology with sustainability – an ambition that closely aligns with LG’s own values and long-term direction.

Vice Minister of Industry Mr. Faisol Riza highlighted that in 2024, Indonesia’s Manufacturing Value Added (MVA) reached USD 265.07 billion (Rp 4,349 trillion), ranking 13th globally and first in Southeast Asia. This strong performance reflects the growing competitiveness of Indonesia’s industrial base and its crucial role in ensuring economic resilience.
Further underscoring this momentum, the Industrial Confidence Index (IKI) for September 2025 stood at 53.02, signaling continued expansion across 21 of 23 manufacturing subsectors, which together account for nearly 98 percent of non-oil and gas manufacturing GDP. Optimism about the coming months remains high – driven by confidence in policy direction, innovation and industrial strength.

Over Three Decades of Milestones: Building a Fully Integrated Operation
At LG, we are proud to have grown alongside Indonesia, becoming a trusted partner in its industrial and technological transformation. Over the past three and a half decades, we have invested in local capabilities, championed innovation and embedded sustainability into every aspect of our operations – all to enhance lives and strengthen industries.

Our manufacturing facilities in Tangerang and Bekasi produce a wide range of products, from refrigerators and washing machines to monitors, commercial displays and televisions – serving both domestic and regional markets. Last month, we expanded our production capabilities through a strategic partnership in air conditioner manufacturing, operated by a partner company. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to advancing Indonesia’s industrial ecosystem.
With a network of over 190 service centers across the archipelago and strong collaborations with local distributors and partners, we ensure that LG products and services reach customers in every region.
Today, our locally self-sufficient operation – spanning R&D, manufacturing, marketing and customer care – empowers more than 4,000 local talents and supports national priorities such as Making Indonesia 4.0 and the Industrial Services Roadmap. Together, we are driving continuous innovation, operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Beyond Business: Empowering Communities and Driving Inclusive Growth
Our commitment to Indonesia goes well beyond business. Through our CSR platform, LG Loves Indonesia, we focus on sustainability, education and community well-being to create meaningful and lasting impact.
Under LG Loves Green, we promote energy-efficient living and environmental responsibility – planting 32,000 trees and supporting recycling initiatives for fabric, food waste and e-waste to raise public and youth awareness.

LG Loves Children enhances early childhood literacy in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Culture, publishing and distributing two series of LG Children’s Books nationwide. We also established three libraries in low-literacy regions, each offering more than 350 curated titles to inspire learning.
Through LG Loves School, we help vocational students build practical skills for future careers by upgrading school labs with LG products and training tools.
Meanwhile, LG Loves and Cares supports local communities through initiatives like Lebaran Sehat, which provides food packages during festive seasons, as well as product donations that improve daily living standards.
Each of these initiatives reflects our belief that true progress must be inclusive – empowering individuals and uplifting communities across Indonesia.

Looking Ahead: A Shared Future of Sustainable Growth
As we look toward the future, LG’s dedication to Indonesia remains steadfast. We deeply value the trust and partnership we have built with the government, industry peers and the Indonesian people. Our approach – anchored in local manufacturing excellence, technology transfer and environmental stewardship – demonstrates our long-term commitment to inclusive and sustainable growth.
Together, under the shared spirit of Life’s Good, we will continue to create a better, more sustainable tomorrow for all.

When fans walk into a stadium, they expect more than just a game or a show – they expect to feel part of something bigger. In Spain, this new era of immersive sports and entertainment has two shining examples: the Riyahd Air Metropolitano in Madrid and the Roig Arena in Valencia. At both venues, we at LG are helping write a new chapter in the digital transformation of sports, leading a technological revolution that redefines how every moment is experienced.

What sets us apart is not only our leadership as the No. 1 provider of professional LED technology in Spain,* but also our ability to turn every project into a unique digital ecosystem. We don’t just install screens – we create living platforms where image, software and infrastructure work together to make every corner of a venue come alive.

Riyahd Air Metropolitano: An Icon in Transformation
In Madrid, our collaboration with Atlético de Madrid has transformed the Riyahd Air Metropolitano into a stadium that breathes innovation. The exterior and interior now form a dynamic canvas of light and color, amplifying the atmosphere of every moment.

At the top, our state-of-the-art Mesh LED envelops the stadium in a 360-degree visual spectacle, amplifying the excitement of every goal and every play and making the roar of the fans even more powerful and unforgettable.

Roig Arena: A New Global Benchmark
In Valencia, the Roig Arena was envisioned as one of the most advanced arenas in the world. At the heart stands our technological gem: the high-resolution video scoreboard. This giant screen, bearing the LG seal of innovation, offers precise sharpness and color uniformity that allow every replay, every stat and every detail of the game to be seen with astonishing clarity throughout the stands. But it does much more than display scores – it syncs with lighting, sound and dynamic content to turn every key moment into a cinematic experience.
Around it, the perimeter LED ribbon and the iconic outdoor screen, The Eye, complete a digital ecosystem that extends the excitement beyond the venue, placing Valencia at the forefront of Europe as a venue for top-level competitions and events.

Digitalization as a Driver of Change
In both Madrid and Valencia, we’re showing that digitalizing stadiums isn’t just about impressive visuals – it’s about smarter management, new ways to communicate and deeper connections with audiences. These venues are flexible platforms that can adapt to matches, concerts, cultural shows or corporate events. And for sponsors, they open new doors to engage with the public in more personal, real-time ways.
      Shaping the Future Through Leadership
In recent years, we’ve been proud to contribute to nearly thirty sport venues in Spain, from stadiums and arenas to the Rafa Nadal Academy and local gyms. With a 45 percent share of the professional LED market in Spain in the first quarter of 2025,* and the trust of eight out of ten major Spanish stadiums, we are not just equipping venues – we are redefining the live event experience.

However, this leadership isn’t built on technology alone. It comes from people – the talent, passion and dedication of nearly 240 professionals at LG Spain. From engineering to sales, logistics to marketing, every department has played a vital role in making these projects a reality.
Each installation is a milestone that brings Spain a little closer to the global forefront of sports and entertainment technology. Our expertise also extends beyond Spain, to iconic venues like Wembley Stadium in London, Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt and Jan Breydel Stadium in Belgium.
At LG, we believe life is richer when emotions are lived intensely. That’s why our mission is to make every fan, in every seat, feel that Life’s Good – and why we believe the future of sports and entertainment venues is already here.
