, we were left with questions. How? Why? When? We spoke with HP SVP of webOS Martin Risau and LG North America VP of Smart TV Sam Chang about why LG purchased webOS, what they're planning on doing with it, and what exactly HP is doing here as well.

As we reported back in October (much to the chagrin of HP and LG), the two companies were working together for several months . Chang said that "during this time we [LG] were very impressed with the technology, but also the people behind it. That's what really drove this transaction." The 'people behind it' are indeed an important part of webOS, and adding them to LG's roster brings a lot of talent and experience with webOS.

      Is it just me or is the plex app just unusable on webos.  When I try to select dvr items with the magic remote they just don’t play.  I am not sure if this is a plex issue or an lg webos issue.  Anyone know which it is?

      I would like to play MP4 video file from my NAS, is this possible from LG Smart TV? I tried on the TV and did not see how I could do this, I also did not see any App that could help me in this area.

      My LG TV is connected to my home network so has direct access to my NAS.

      I’ve submitted my app in October of last year, it has been reviewed only twice, for issues of LG testing systems I’ve been requested to resubmit the app and every time weeks of waiting.
      Is anybody else having similar issues?
