Okay to NOT update software for the tv ?

i was prompted to update the tv software.............lucky thing that i turned off automatic updates couple days beforehand...............the update will be over 1 GB but the free space on the tv internal storage is less than 1 GB ............šŸ¤£

so any harm if i DON'T update the tv software from now on.......?šŸ¤”

i will update Youtube app though...........

I believe the space for app installs and updates is not the same space for the TV OS updates.

You can avoid it for now, it may remind you from time to time; in general it's best to update the tv since it fixes

bugs in the software with occasional new features

      My LG 49UB850V LED TVĀ  browser is too old. The most of the pages not work any more. How to easy update just one simple browser app? For example, often browser show error during open new page. It show certificate expire problem and page not load at all.
      This mean LG sell product without update at least browser certificate and now we are stuck and can not even load one page from WWW.Ā

      Shame on you LG. I will not buy any more from you.Ā  How dificolt is to release new update to update OS certificates? Microsoft Windows did this, android did also for old phones, etc... Really, can not undestend this asian people from Korea.Ā

      Latest software update broke HDMI on my LG OLED G2?

      Up until a few days ago my TV and AVR have been working perfectly since I bought it.
      Zero hassles with HDMI and connectivity.
      Then I was prompted to update to the latest software version which I did and now often when I switch HDMI (running on 1) it picks up the device name, CEC works but I get ā€œNo Signalā€ā€¦ and then nothing.
      Just stays on ā€œNo Signalā€. It isĀ almost as if some HDMI handshake breaks and now the driver is in a broken state.
      Iā€™ve found that if I hard power off and power on the device sometimes works but I donā€™t want to do that every time especially since itā€™s hard to get to the power.
      This really strikes me as a software issue with the latest update as absolutely nothing else has changed in my setup.
      Iā€™ve tried:
      Different HDMI cables (high quality) Deep colour settings Reset the TV to factory default Different HDMI ports TV
      Model: OLED65G26LA / OLED65G26LA.HFBQLWK WebOS TV Version: 8.3.0.2301 Software Version: 13.30.56 AVR & Devices
      Marantz SR5015 Nvidia Shield Pro PS5
      Ā  The setup is the conventional AVR installation as shown in the attached file

      Is it possible to revert the software update?

      I received an update 05.40.45 for my LG 65UM7510PLA TV a few days ago. After I tried to edit the channel list with the ChanSort programme, I noticed that the channel list transferred from the TV to USB was greatly reduced.
      This was not a problem with the previous version 05.40.20. Unfortunately, it is not possible to upload the old version via USB.

      All4 and My5 will no longer work from the LG browser. My LG TV is just over 3 years old. Also cannot see how to update the browser.

      As above! All4 & My5 will no longer work. Also, how do you update the browser? My LG nano TV is just over 3 years old.
