SEOUL, Apr. 15, 2024 — LG Electronics (LG) is participating in Milan Design Week 2024, the global design trade fair taking place in Milan, Italy, from April 16-21. Aimed at increasing the company’s presence in the European built-in market, LG’s Milan Design Week exhibition includes a booth at Salone del Mobile (EuroCucina), a display at Signature Kitchen Suite showroom and a collaboration with Moooi at the Dutch lifestyle company’s showroom.

Since the launch of its ultra-premium Signature Kitchen Suite built-in appliances, LG has continuously and strategically expanded its presence around the globe. Last year’s IFA exhibition in Germany marked the introduction of the built-in lineups from the LG brand, which complement the company’s well-established ultra-premium offerings. At Milan Design Week 2024, the company seeks to demonstrate its commitment to providing premier culinary lifestyles, with a diverse range of products designed to meet the needs of different customer segments.

LG’s exhibition booth at Salone del Mobile showcases the ultra-premium Signature Kitchen Suite built-in lineup, plus an array of advanced, aesthetically-pleasing products from the company’s wider kitchen appliance portfolio. Through its ‘True To Food’ philosophy, the Signature Kitchen Suite brand communicates the importance of preserving the original value of food. Also on show is a selection of LG cooking solutions that combine with the ThinQ™ app for a smarter ‘Life’s Good’ kitchen experience.

During Milan Design Week, the Signature Kitchen Suite showroom will introduce visitors to the sophisticated styling and advanced technologies of the latest Signature Kitchen Suite built-in products. Meanwhile, at the ‘A Life Extraordinary’ exhibit (April 16-21) at Moooi’s exhibition space, LG will showcase its PuriCare™ AeroFurniture air purifier featuring distinctive, new designs by Moooi, as well as other new products such as the InstaView™ bottom freezer with MoodUP™.

An Inspired Culinary Lifestyle with LG’s Kitchen Appliances at Salone del Mobile
The LG exhibition at Salone del Mobile clearly conveys the value and joy of sharing and savoring quality food. The company’s impressive booth, which covers 483 square meters, is designed by GamFratesi, the acclaimed architecture and design studio founded by Italian Enrico Fratesi and Denmark’s Stine Gam. Presented inside are the Signature Kitchen Suite built-in portfolio and LG-branded built-in kitchen and home appliance lineups.

Among the products on display is the newly unveiled Signature Kitchen Suite 60-centimeter (24-inch) built-in oven with Gourmet AI™ technology. LG’s AI innovation can identify what the user is cooking and automatically suggest the optimal cooking mode from a database of 130 recipes. The stunning new oven also boasts enhanced ProBake, which leverages the company’s inverter technology to ensure uniform heat distribution for fast and efficient cooking. Offering convenience and cooking flexibility, the Signature Kitchen Suite free zone induction hob allows users to place any size or type of cookware anywhere on its cooking surface.* This is made possible through the AI-equipped hob’s ability to detect and track the position of cookware.

Launching in Italy this month, the LG InstaView bottom-freezer refrigerator with MoodUP™ can be found alongside the French-door InstaView fridge with MoodUP at the company’s Salone del Mobile booth.

In addition to exploring new LG products, visitors to the company’s booth will have the opportunity to enjoy a lively cooking demonstration hosted by Signature Kitchen Suite. The event features renowned chef Fabrizio Ferrari, who will prepare delectable cuisine using some of the latest built-in appliances from the Signature Kitchen Suite lineup. Other special activities include ‘Zero Wasting Oven Cooking’ with LG’s built-in appliances, wine tasting sessions hosted by sommelier Emanuele Trono, and a unique musical and culinary experience with DJ and cook Daniele de Michele (a.k.a. Donpasta).

The newly-revealed Signature Kitchen Suite 48-inch French-door refrigerator and the sleek appliances of the Transitional lineup, which include built-in combi refrigerators, induction hobs and microwave ovens, form part of LG’s expanded portfolio targeting the European built-in market.

Precision and Elegance with Signature Kitchen Suite’s New Capsule Collections
At the Signature Kitchen Suite showroom, located at the intersection of Milan’s famous Via Manzoni and Piazza Cavour, LG is hosting an open-to-the-public week-long event, displaying its high-end built-in appliances together with its new Design Capsule Collections, under the theme of ‘The Art of Precision’.

An exciting development for Signature Kitchen Suite is the collaboration with internationally acclaimed designer Patricia Urquiola, who has designed a sculptural cabinet for the brand’s under-counter drawer fridge. Ideal for modern places, where the boundary between living room and kitchen is frequently blurred or erased, Urquiola’s cabinet transforms the ultra-premium brand’s home appliance into a gorgeous piece of furniture. The amalgamation of Signature Kitchen Suite’s superior technology with Urquiola’s design artistry has resulted in an elevated lifestyle solution with a luxurious, handcrafted touch. The cabinet is available in three modularities and two finishes – wood or Cimento tiles.

Visitors to the showroom can also see SKINS Club; an ultra-elegant cabinet for the Signature Kitchen Suite under-counter wine cellar designed in collaboration with local Milanese architectural and design firm m2Atelier. A must-have for the connoisseur, the stunning SKINS Club features separate compartments for storing wine and cigars and offers customizable finishes for personalized look.

An Exclusive Collaboration of Technology and Artistry
At the Salone dei Tessuti, LG has collaborated with Moooi to create an extraordinary experience where technology and design seamlessly merge. The gallery-concept exhibition space shows off the evolved design and thoughtful features of LG’s groundbreaking home appliances, such as the LG InstaView bottom-freezer with MoodUP, Styler™ clothing management system, Styler ShoeCase and a PuriCare™ AeroFurniture table-type air purifier decorated with a new pattern from Moooi.

“We are excited to present our expanded, diverse portfolio of built-in appliances at this year’s Milan Design Week,” said Lyu Jae-cheol, president of LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company. “LG will continue to strengthen its presence in the European built-in market with its ultra-premium Signature Kitchen Suite and LG-branded built-in appliances designed to fulfill diverse customer needs.”

Visitors to the Milan Design Week 2024 can explore LG’s advanced built-in kitchen and home appliances at the LG exhibition booth at Milan Fairgrounds, the Signature Kitchen Suite showroom (corner of Via Manzoni and Piazza Cavour) and the Moooi showroom at Salone dei Tessuti (Piazza Cavour).

Every year, Design Week Mexico brings together top architects and interior designers to reimagine one of the country’s historic homes into the “Design House” – turning staid spaces into stunning showcases of sophistication and style. For 2025, both we (LG) and our ultra-premium built-in kitchen appliance brand, SKS, were named the exclusive home appliance brand partners for this landmark exhibition.
Under the theme of “Korean Precision with Mexican Soul,” we presented an elegant, real-world demonstration of how the warmth of Mexican craftsmanship can harmonize with our stylish, technology-driven solutions. Each space reflected our belief that thoughtful innovation can elevate modern design and meaningfully enhance how people live.
A Journey Where Design Meets Technology
Design House lies at the heart of Design Week Mexico, uniting creative talent to reinterpret everyday spaces. This year, we collaborated with four celebrated Mexican designers – Sebastián Ángeles, Guillermo Hernández, Juan José Nemer and Victoria Plascencia – to reimagine a traditional home through fresh artistic expression and future-ready livability.
Each finished room told its own compelling story with the common thread of “design meeting technology” woven throughout the entire house, and the sublime blend of Mexico’s rich cultural heritage and LG’s cutting-edge innovation visible in every space.

Reinterpreting the Bathroom: Ancient Rituals Meet Modern Wellness
      Designer
link hidden, please login to view transformed the bathroom into a contemporary Temazcal – a modern tribute to the traditional Mesoamerican sweat lodge used for purification and healing. His immersive installation blended light, sound and scent to evoke a sense of renewal. At the center stood LG Styler, symbolizing purification while adding contemporary sophistication to the space. “LG Styler is an innovative object that lets people refresh their clothes and feelings without any worries about odors or allergens,” said Ángeles.
The result was a seamless balance of pre-Hispanic aesthetics and futuristic minimalism, reshaping the bathroom into a personal sanctuary where wellness and premium design coexist.

Redefining Everyday Chores: The Laundry Room as a Space of Joy
With his signature mosaic craftsmanship, reimagined the laundry room as an uplifting, design-driven environment. His reinterpretation encouraged visitors to reconsider laundry as not just a task, but a space that can spark delight.
At the center of the concept was the LG WashTower, whose unified washer-dryer configuration saves space while delivering intuitive convenience. “The LG WashTower served as the centerpiece, helping to turn what is so often a neglected corner of the home into an uplifting place that people genuinely enjoy spending time in,” Hernández noted.
Through refined geometric inspiration and a calming color palette, the once-ordinary laundry area became a modern, functional and aesthetically enriched space. At the same time, the WashTower features an all-in-one configuration combining a washer and dryer stacked together, efficiently saving space for practical use.

Connecting Tradition and Modernity: The Kitchen as the Heart of the Home
Under the direction of Juan José Nemer, the kitchen served as an inspired bridge between Mexico’s heritage and the vibrancy of its contemporary lifestyle. Drawing on the concept of Casa Piedra, the space merged future-focused technology with a rich sense of nostalgia, creating an ideal environment for warm family moments and entertaining guests.
SKS built-in appliances, including the latest refrigerator and oven, feature minimalist exterior panels and refined finishes that contribute to a seamless and elevated kitchen interior. Its captivating design inspired the aesthetics of the whole kitchen space, inviting visitors to see, touch and interact with the SKS products in person.
“Frequently, there’s a moment of surprise when you open the door of an SKS product, as people often don’t realize they’ve been looking straight at an appliance the whole time,” said Nemer, noting the subtlety of SKS’s design, and the seamlessness with which each appliance blends in with the rest of the kitchen.

A Place to Connect: SKS “Aura Space” on the Terrace
On the Design House terrace, Victoria Plascencia’s Aura Space offered a serene setting for gatherings, reflecting the growing importance of outdoor areas as natural extensions of the home. Equipped with the SKS wine cellar and SKS dishwasher, the terrace demonstrated how performance and aesthetics can coexist beautifully.
The SKS wine cellar, capable of storing up to 113 bottles across three temperature zones, allowed Aura Space guests to enjoy premium wine and a memorable lifestyle experience, while the SKS dishwasher delivered optimal cleaning performance adapted to local water conditions – all within a sleek, minimalist design that added to the space’s ambiance and appeal.
Through this collaboration with Mexico’s design community, we reaffirmed our role as a lifestyle trend leader and our commitment to delivering solutions for a Better Life for All. LG and SKS home appliances stand not only as high-performance tools, but as design-forward companions that enrich everyday living and seamlessly complement modern spaces.

At LG Electronics, Better Life for All is more than a corporate vision or tagline – it’s a guiding principle that shapes everything we create. Central to our inclusive vision is a belief in universal design: the philosophy of crafting products and experiences to deliver convenience and comfort for everyone, regardless of age, gender or physical ability.
Committed to this philosophy, LG aims to go beyond functional innovation to provide unique lifestyle solutions that truly put people first. A deep understanding of our customers and the diverse environments in which they live is essential to this endeavor, which is why listening to the voice of the customer is such an integral part of our design process.
We have established systems to directly integrate real user feedback, especially from those with limited mobility – and seniors and children – into the product development stage. This includes operating an advisory group of people with disabilities and conducting in-depth usability testing. Both of these elements have proven instrumental in helping us to identify and minimize even the smallest points of user discomfort.
Designing with Empathy, Delivering with Purpose
Design at LG has always been about more than aesthetics. It’s about innovating with empathy to ensure usability, ease and enjoyment for all. For us, universal design is not just an outcome, but a mindset shared by all our teams – one that infuses human-centeredness into every decision, no matter how minor or inconsequential it may seem to someone looking in from the outside. From the first concept sketch to the final product experience, we view every touchpoint as an opportunity to make someone’s daily life simpler, safer and more enjoyable.
This approach requires us to design with people rather than for them. It challenges our teams to think beyond convention, to question what “easy to use” truly means and to continuously refine our technology to better meet and adapt to real human needs. When empathy is woven into the design process itself, innovation follows naturally. That is how we translate inclusivity from principle to practice.
Turning Philosophy into Practice: The Comfort Kit
Putting this philosophy into action, we launched the Comfort Kit – a series of affixable assistive kits designed to allow anyone to use our products easily, regardless of their gender, age or physical condition.
      Some examples:

Easy Handle: Enables users with limited hand mobility to open washers and dryers with minimal effort.
Easy Ball: Helps those with reduced finger dexterity to manipulate control dials with ease.
Easy Hanger: Allows people using wheelchairs, or those who are shorter than average, to interact comfortably with the LG Styler.
Rotating Shelf: Improves refrigerator usability by making it easier to access hard-to-reach items. We have presented inclusive design solutions that improve the usability of existing products, becoming the first in the home appliance industry to introduce 14 accessibility-enhancing kits. These Comfort Kit series, designed to remove the “one-size-fits-some” barrier that many customers have long faced, are also sustainably manufactured – reflecting our commitment to protecting the planet.
      Recognition Beyond Design

Our efforts have not gone unnoticed. Globally, we are recognized as a model company for inclusive design.
We’ve shared our accessibility technologies and design philosophy at forums such as the CSUN Assistive Technology Conference, where the Comfort Kit series was welcomed by both consumers and organizations advocating for underrepresented communities.
We also showcased this work at important global exhibitions such as IFA and CES. Our dedication to good design earned us the “Design Awards Grand Slam” – winning top honors at all three major global design awards, Red Dot, iF, and IDEA.
These accolades matter to us, but more importantly, they reflect our deep conviction that inclusive design is not just a feature – it’s a responsibility.
      Designing for a Better Tomorrow
For us at LG, realizing the Better Life for All vision means creating unique products and experiences that feel right for everyone, and can be enjoyed by anyone. We will continue to advance accessibility so that all customers can take advantage of everything that our products and services have to offer. No caveats or compromises, only convenience and comfort.

Collaboration to Integrate LG’s High-Efficiency Heat Pumps
With Octopus Energy Group’s AI-Based Kraken Platform

SEOUL, Sep. 2, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with UK-based Octopus Energy Group Ltd. (Octopus Energy) to strengthen its presence in Europe’s clean technology sector. The partnership will combine LG’s advanced, high-efficiency heating and cooling solutions with Octopus Energy’s AI-driven energy software platform, Kraken, to accelerate the transition to sustainable energy in Europe.
The MOU signing ceremony took place on August 28 (local time) at Octopus Energy’s London headquarters. Attendees included Thomas Yoon, head of LG’s Overseas Sales & Marketing Company; Charles Choi, managing director of LGEUK; Greg Jackson, founder and CEO of Octopus Energy; and Tim Heal, Chief Strategy Officer at Octopus Energy.
Octopus Energy is the UK’s largest energy supplier, driving the shift toward a decarbonized future with innovative clean energy solutions. The company provides electricity and gas, and is spearheading the adoption of heat pumps as sustainable alternatives to gas boilers. Its proprietary Kraken platform enables consumers to optimize energy usage through real-time renewable pricing. Since its founding in 2016, Octopus Energy has expanded into more than 30 countries, now serving around 10 million customers worldwide.
Through this collaboration, LG and Octopus Energy will launch a joint solution that integrates LG’s high-efficiency heat pumps with the Kraken platform in key European markets, including the UK and Germany. The combined solution is designed to optimize home heating and cooling while lowering energy costs for consumers. Looking ahead, both companies plan to expand the partnership across additional products and markets, leveraging their complementary strengths to deliver greater value to customers.
LG’s state-of-the-art heat pumps utilize waste heat and ambient energy sources to deliver outstanding efficiency while significantly reducing carbon emissions compared to fossil fuel-based systems. Powered by LG’s proprietary CoreTech inverter scroll compressor, the systems deliver exceptional durability, safety and energy performance.

Greg Jackson, founder and CEO of Octopus Energy, said: “Heat pumps are the linchpin of clean, affordable heating – and LG makes some of the best on the market. By plugging them and their air conditioning units into our Kraken tech, we can make them even cheaper to run, giving households an easy way to cut their bills while helping the planet.”
“This partnership with Octopus Energy Group represents a significant milestone in our European growth strategy,” said Thomas Yoon, head of LG’s Overseas Sales & Marketing Company. “We will continue to explore new opportunities that create differentiated customer value and secure sustainable growth drivers in the global market.”
