I agree with this comment.  I also bought Oled TV for  my living room and a super uhd tv for my room so i can enjoy watching movies or series on a big screen instead of watching it from my mobile phone.  However, i cannot install fox+ and Disneylife on my LG TVs and it’s soooo frustrating.  LG should be up to date on the latest apps especially the entertainment apps so that they can already include it in the LG Content Store.  You should be more proactive and relevant.

No offence but you should have installed the apps on the tv before taking the subscription. Not all apps are available on LG webOS and its upto the streaming service to provide the app.

Mine works perfectly. Using it on two tv’s now. No problem playing premium content.  The only mild issue is missing subtitles with the big bang theory. Not much of a concern now.

I haven’t faced video stuttering till date.

Wish they add dolby 5.1 soon.

I cannot find it on my LG Store. I have LG 49UB850T model and currently using the update version 05.05.75. Please help to find the app on LG store.

Sadly I can’t help. It might be they haven’t released it for your model yet. You can write a mail to [email protected] or [email protected] along with these details and they would tell you if they have released the app for your tv.

If you don’t mind you can factory reset your tv and try , might work, hit or miss.

I still don't see it in LG content store

Yeah, I have been using it on my 2018 4K tv since its launch on March 22,2019. The app has some bugs but not a deal breaker.

Bugs like sometimes it fails to start due to server time mismatch and you have to click on retry once and it starts just fine,  the other is no subtitles in the big bang theory.

Rest all is good, picture quality is superb , much better than the firestick that I was using earlier. Interface is basically the same.

make sure you are on the latest webOS version. Below 3.5 is not compatible as of now.

EDIT - This has happened the first time yesterday night ,the app has stopped playing anything at all. Server Error. Unable to generate security certificate.

A lot of people have been facing problems, but i was lucky enough to get away with just an app restart but not today.

    Hotstar is the worst.

So I’ve got a problem with my soundbar and it’s connection with the TV. I’ve got the LG OLED tv and the LG sound bar with optical wire connection. Every time I put the tv into standby and turn it back on again later the sound bar goes from standby to on but no sound comes out. The only way I can make it interact is to switch the power off for the tv and sound bar. It then works fine until I turn the tv into standby again. Does anyone have any idea why this might be. TIA

If your soundbar has and HDMI ARC port use that to connect to the tv, also turn on HDMI CEC / LG Simplink in settings.

When will there be an update on the LG Content store to get these above title stated applications?

    Model: 32LF595B
    Software Version: 03.21.15
    WebOS Version: 2.1.0-3157 (Beehive-bighorn)

Hotstar is not supported on this webOS version. Check for updates if any. Otherwise you won’t be getting it.

I think same goes for the others as well.

Get yourself a fire tv stick. You’ll be better off.

@Karan Batra  game of thrones was very laggy/sluggish for me on WebOS. Did it work fine for you? What is your TV model?

Mine is 2018 65UK6360. Game of thrones plays flawlessly with subtitles on even on the simulcast. The Picture quality is a lot better than Firestick which I was using previously. hotstar is a little unoptimised as compared to other streaming platforms and hence requires more bandwidth. What speed do you have and what tv?

Please have basic popular apps so that even customer get attracted to LG smart TV's.

Any plan to launch Hotstar app for WebOS Store??

    Thanks,

    Krishna

Please read all the messages. The app has already been launched on March 22,2019. Its being rolled out in batches and your tv should get it soon.

Make sure you are on the latest webOS version. Check for any updates.

What tv model do you have and which year?

Subtitles aren't appearing for certain shows(eg. Big Bang theory).NO option to change audio language, video quality. Certain shows are like watching snapshots at 10s interval(check Homeland). Cricket matches are having slow frames per second although i have good bandwidth and fps on my tv(LG UJ652T).  NO VIP option also.

Yeah, its has a lot of bugs. Thankfully I was able to watch Game of thrones wothout any issues. I also noticed no subtitles on the big bang theory.

Cricket matches are working fine for me.

Homeland is playing fine with subtitles .

I have 2015 43LF6300 and the OS version is 04.06.00.

Is hotstar coming on this TV? & when?

Should come, mught be a little later. I assume you have Netflix and prime video, then there is no reason for hostar not to work. They are rolling out in batches and since yours is an older model you might have to wait a bit.

Hi, what's the maximum display resolution on the Hotstar app for your TV?

Hotstar provides 1080p max, but there is no way to see it in the app. As i have a 4k tv so it upscales to 4K but its just upscaled.

natively its 1080p but the picture quality is better than when watching with firetv stick.

    watched Game of thrones.

Yes, it is one of the options. But there is another option - LG TV detect the movie /photos/music on the PC or you direct it to the folders and then you can see it on the TV. Like LG player.

But has I said , the language settings on the sub doesn't work.. it doesn't change the language.. all the rest- size and color- it does...

I suppose you are using your pc as a media server. HDMI has nothing to with it.

If you are using the tv as i said the tv is probably detecting the pc as media server over wifi or LAN. Do you have the subtitles in the other language with the same name with 1 added to the file name,as the video in the same folder.

for instance if Video name is mymovie

subtitles should be named as mymovie 1.srt and mymovie 2.srt

You should see two subtitle tracks when you click on the sub button.Select anyone.

Have you installed it, and if so is it any good?

Yes. It is not as snappy as the firestick app which I was previously using, but the picture quality is definitely better. Load times a tad higher. Still it does the job.

I have given my feedback to the hotstar tech team and hope the future updates will make it better. They are yet to provide 5.1 sound. They are working on it too.
