Correlation of WebOS Version and Firmware Version

Question

Posted

What is the correlation of WebOS version with the firmware version that we install in the TV?

My LG TV OLED55B6V brought WebOS 3.0 I believe.

In this years I've been updated the firmware version, and currently is installed the 05.06.20.

These updates didn't change the WebOS version (I still have the webOS 3.0) or the WebOS version already changed? (05.xx.xx means that WebOS 5?!)

But now I've seen that the HBO will support only WebOS 3.5+ after September. So I would like to understand better the version of WebOS I have on my TV.

Thanks.

I thought the Firmware & webOS might be different. But it doesn't look like it.

In LG Smart+ TV, go to Settings > Quick Settings > General > About this TV > webOS TV Version.

link hidden, please login to view

So you may already be at webOS 5
