Question

hi guys, after the last firmware update (3.11.30)on my LG CX I have a problem with the apps because often they didn't want to start in any way. I have to shutdown and turn on the TV again to make them works. what could it be?

We discussed similar problems in this thread last month regarding our LED TVs . Basically, I had to update my router settings to "solve" the problem for the most part, although the apps still won't open in specific circumstances.

hi thank you. but what is the cause? before the last firmware update I didn't had any problems at all. I tried to connect the TV to a mobile connection trough hot spot, but I didn't worked neither. should I call the LG assistance?

No one knows for sure. I suspect it was a software update on the TV that made it incompatible with my router for whatever reason. However, I also tried a mobile connection after a TV reset as well, only to have the same result.

I did download a new update for the TV last night, but I haven't tested if the apps will open up in all situations yet. LG does offer a number for warranties if you're still within the first year, which I have listed in that thread. They said they would schedule a technician to stop by my place sometime, although I have yet to receive a call to set up that appointment after a month or so.

I have a 65 Inch LG OLED evo AI C4 4K Smart TV 2024 - Model OLED65C4PUA.ACC. here have been a many weird things happening. This is one of them:
Whenever I turn on my TV, it doesn't remember the audio settings I chose before. I repeatedly need to set my audio for the input I am using. I ofter select APPLY TO ALL INPUTS to try and make sure it's the same regardless of which input I use, but it still reverts all changes.
Does anyone know what this happens?

Youtube only lets you type numbers, and not letters. Amazon doesn't let you type anything unless you use the really really really slow onscreen keyboard. It's ruining the tv experience. Can't search for topics or shows without the slow drugery of the slow remote and onscreen keyboard.

do they want me to upgrade my TV or use an Amazon Firestick to do anything useful? planned obsolescence again! FFS I have 70’s video games that work, but a TV bought a few years ago has been made obsolete by auto upgrades that if i don’t accept I am reprimanded by support and told to accept?

      Hi all,
I'm wondering how you can get into the service menu (In Start) on an old LG Smart TV (42LB630V) running WebOS 1.4.  I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 (SM-G920F) with a IR blaster, I have tried sending '0x04FB 0xFB04' to I which should be IR code to enter the menu, but that doesn't work.
I have also tried entering it with the SSAP-Web, but I get:
error: 500 Application error {"errorCode":-101,"returnValue":false,"errorText":"\"com.webos.app.factorywin\" was not found OR Unsupported Application Type" The SAPP-Web app does works though, because the TV does respond to Get info
{ "returnValue": true, "product_name": "webOS", "model_name": "HE_DTV_WT1M_AFAAABAA", "sw_type": "FIRMWARE", "major_ver": "05", "minor_ver": "05.90", "country": "omitted", "device_id": "omitted", "auth_flag": "N", "ignore_disable": "N", "eco_info": "01", "config_key": "00", "language_code": "en-GB" } The reason I want to access the menu is because I've enabled DEBUG mode on my TV through the NVM method and I want to enter a root shell trough UART to enable SSH and root access.
      Gaining root access through NVM:
