Viewing videos from
link hidden, please login to view was fine up to about one month ago. I do not know if there was an upgrade, but videos from that site cannot be played any longer on this tv. From the same wifi network (home network) videos from that site play fine to a number of devices (Android phones, 2 win11 laptops, 1 win10 laptop).
Adjusted all browser settings (JavaScript, cookies), cleared cookies, cleared all browser data and history.
No updates available to download
Finally, reset to factory settings but still videos from cannot be played on the tv set.

Hi all,
I'm Danny and have a problem with my LG OLED65C8;
since a few months when playing movies, either from my Syno NAS or just plain USB, subtitles are being displayed double (over or above eachother) or are displayed for sometimes minutes after the sentence's been spoken. The videofiles haven't got any hardcoded subs but either subs included in the mkv container or as separate srt of ssa file. Disabling subs removes the display of subs, enabling subs results in double or persistent subs.
Subtitles have been disabled in the accessability menu, factory reset did not help.
I searched but as far as I can see this problem has not been discussed yet, also googled and never came across this problem. Perhaps someone here can help?
Kind regards, Danny

SOLUTION, for me at least:
I used ColorControl to reboot the TV. It's weird that a factory reset did not work but a simple reboot did.

Hi,
I have an LG 43UH750V ZA TV which I have connected to a BT YouView box which in turn is connected to a broadband router. I normally do most of my viewing of TV through the Free View service provided via the BT You View box. On the LG TV there is a facility for web browsing. However, this does not appear to work through the internet connection via the BT You View box and the router.
Does anyone know if this is a valid configuration that should work or does the TV need its own direct internet connection to a router? Thanks.

Question
Peter Sjostrom
Hi everyone!
I have an LG - 43" Class LED HD Smart webOS TV (Model 43UM6910PUA).
I keep all my videos stored on an external hard drive. When I connect this drive, a SEAGATE Expansion Portable 2TB External Hard Drive HDD (Model STEA2000400), to the USB port (back, side) and go to thumbnail view all I see are generic folders with the titles I have given to them. I do not see any of the "folder.jpg" poster/cover art images which I have in included in every folder together with the video(s) themselves. Why are these folder.jpg images not showing up in thumbnail view? I have no problem on other (older) televisions I have (none of which are LG however). Am I doing something wrong? I have contacted LG support both via email and online chat but have unfortunately not been able to get an answer from them.
I have included an image of the what I mean by generic folders in thumbnail view (see below). Thank you!
Peter
