Hi All,

 

I have just purchased my first smart tv LG B6 OLED so I am new and not too familiar with the WebOS functionality.

 

First impressions, love it, but hey thats expected for an OLED screen.

 

I did however struggle to find some basic apps such as Live Radios that would in fact host my local radio stations in New Zealand. I even attempted to stream these using the web browser but it looks as if streaming is not compatible.

 

I skimmed through some earlier posts complaining about lack of Flash player (presumably to combat pirating which makes sense), so i was wondering if there is any update on this? I'd imagine the lack of a Flash Player is the reason to why I cannot stream live music, or is it something to do with lacking CODECs (highly doubt it being such a new model)?

      link hidden, please login to view was fine up to about one month ago. I do not know if there was an upgrade, but videos from that site  cannot be played any longer on this tv. From the same wifi network (home network) videos from that site play fine to a number of devices (Android phones, 2 win11 laptops, 1 win10 laptop).
      Adjusted all browser settings (JavaScript, cookies), cleared cookies, cleared all browser data and history. 
      No updates available to download
      Finally, reset to factory settings but still videos from cannot be played on the tv set.

      Super slow internet (WiFi) when streaming

      I recently bought an LG UK6500PLA TV (my first LG), but I have a difficult time streaming content (Wifi connected), e.g. Netflix series is streaming in low resolution.  The router is only 10 feet away from TV (but ethernet is not an option) and uses a 5GH frequency range.
      I have tried making a speed test at fast.com, for both the TV (through the Webbrowser) and for my laptop and iPhone. The speed test for TV showed 2.5 Mbps and my laptop and iPhone showed 110 Mbps. Can there really be such a big difference? I am starting to wonder if this might be a warranty issue?
      Do any of you guys have experience with bad Wifi reception on your LG TV or have any suggestions on how to fix it?

      Sky News stopped working after the webOS update

      webOS updated, I think to 2023, on my C2 a couple of days ago. Since then the News option on the Sky News app no longer works, instead timing out. The Weather and Climate options still work, though.
      I have deleted and reloaded the Sky News app, but the problem remains.
      Does anybody have any suggestions of what I might try to get this working again, or is this something for LG, or Sky, to fix?

      As the title say, it is unfortunate that we cannot have access in those two apps and as far as I know many ppl waiting for them to be added… Hope to see them soon in webos app list. Thank you in advance.
