HBO GO App for WebOS 2.0? (65UF8500)

Derrick

Question

Hi,

I recently purchased an LG 65UF8500 from Best Buy as an open box deal.  I was hoping that HBO GO would be available, but it appears that it isn't available for WebOS 2.0?

Can someone please confirm?

Thank you,

Derrick

I have the same model LG as you, 65UF8500. HBOGO is not available on WebOS 2.0. Currently, the only "premium" apps available are the big 4.. Netflix, Amazon, Hulu and Vudu. The first two mentioned, Netflix and Amazon, offer UHD/4k streaming. One glitch to note.. between updating your TV's WebOS and your apps, Amazon can get glitched where it won't qualify you for UHD and you won't have access to the UHD library. To fix this, just uninstall the Amazon app (you don't even have to unlink your account) and then re-install the app and voila! :-)

HBOGO isn't offering 4k yet...but stay tuned....an internal memo says otherwise.

webOS updated, I think to 2023, on my C2 a couple of days ago. Since then the News option on the Sky News app no longer works, instead timing out. The Weather and Climate options still work, though.
I have deleted and reloaded the Sky News app, but the problem remains.
Does anybody have any suggestions of what I might try to get this working again, or is this something for LG, or Sky, to fix?

I have an LG TV with Web OS 13.30.56 and the HBOMax app was replaced by MAX app.
Since installing the new app I get 50+ per day ads notifications from Max app with the same add, every day , 50 notifications per day.
I've made a video with the problem to understand it better:

In the specifications of this LaserTV it is shown that WebOS 6.0 should be installed on this device.
The latest Device Firmware Version is 3.01.02 and i am missing the RTL+ App (Germany) which should be available with WebOS 6.0
So any info when there will be a "real" WebOS 6.0 available on the Cinebeam HU915EQE?
