Mine is extremely frustrating it have its days one day it works okay one day I'm having trouble connecting then the next it finally connects stay connected for about 10-30 minutes then the tv says Its  disconnected from the laptop the lg tv and windows 10 laptop are both new so it has to be a lg or Microsoft issue now I'm currently stuck with tv cast app which works fine connecting to my my tablet but I really prefer the screen share

Did the tv connect with wifi or lan?

I think the LG smart TV's wifi has few bugs.

  2. If you read my post above about how I managed to do it you shouldn't have any issues.I had problems at 1st but after messing around a bit it all came good.

My PC is win10. I had followed your instructions, and the TV showed up in my  "connected devices". However, I could not "screen share" with the "project" ( windows  buttons + P). On the other hand, I am able to "cast media" with the edge.

BTW, just buy the Google Chromecast and problem solve.

  3. This question is about Screen Share but a couple of people say "Smart Share". Is there something called Screen Share?

The reason I ask is that the name "Screen Share" implies that (only) the screen is shared and "Smart Share" implies that other things are shared, possibly including the screen.

I know that people often use terminology that is highly misleading and that does not communicate what the name refers to. Since that is true, it is critical that people use the correct name.

Yes, screen share is not smart share;  anyway, get a chromecast and use chrome to cast the screen.

  4. I would imagine the issue is trying to get Google or Adobe to provide flash support at a fair price and LG is too cheap to get in to a contract. Had a similar issue a few years ago with a really nice alternative to ROKU which linked any tv to the internet. The problem was their flash was version 10 which was outdated and was still working on a contract for authorization for 11 which made the device useless. I took it back. I'm thinking LG tried to get around it with the Smart Share app between a laptop or smart phone and the tv. But I agree. At this point, there's no excuse for not having flash capability in a web tv. I paid for NFL gamepass and would like to be able to access it through my webOS tv. After all, isn't that why we bought a web f***king television? I think it's time for somebody to get off their profit margin and provide the product they're selling.

LG should have the chromecast build-in, but LG went to Miracast

  5. All apple products have no flash support. The future is HTML5.

When does future come? ANd what shall we do before the future come?

There are web browsers  in apple / android that have flash suppor, and companies (CBC, TSN ....) have their own apps so that people can watch the videos. LG smart TV has no apps and no flash support web browser. Now, I have no way to  watch CBC (web site)'s Olympics streaming in my SMART TV.
