The ONLY way I can Miracast from my Surface Pro 3 to the LG TV is for both the TV and computer be on the 2.4 GHz wifi network. It will not work if they are both on the 5 GHz wifi network, or if one is on 2.4 GHz and the other is on 5 GHz and vice versa. Not sure if it's a Surface Pro 3 issues or the LG TV issue with it not working over 5 GHz. Word of warning: You will lose all your wifi saved networks and passwords if you uninstall and reinstall your Marvell network adapter (which did not fix anything for me).
