  1. I realize this thread is dated and has not been updated for awhile, but for anyone experiencing the "this location is not authorized" message, it is due to a DirecTV update requiring clients to reauthenticate every time they try to connect to the gernie, whereas previous to the August 0xd80 update they only had to authenticate on the initial connection. The error appears to be caused by a handshake or token exchange not being accepted correctly. There is a partial solution which will eliminate some but not all of the "location is not authorized" errors, which is to go into the LG settings menu and turn off the Quick Start function. Doing so will eliminate most if not all error messages when the TV is turned off and back on with the RVU application set as the active input. You will still get the message sometimes when changing inputs and attempting to go back to the RVU input, which can be fixed by turning off the TV and unplugging it for 10 or 15 seconds, then plugging it back in and turning on the TV again. Although this is still a royal pita, even with the "location not authorized" issue its still better than the insufferable 6 to 9 second delays in doing almost anything using a C61K. I spoke to LG tech support and they said that they are aware of the issue and are working on an update, but how knows when that will happen. That's still better than the response from DirecTV though, which was that they can make any changes they want to their system and if it adversely affects our TV's so be it and it's up the the TV manufacturers to make whatever changes are need to keep their apps working.
