Brand new LG TV (WebOS 8x) WILL NOT stay off when turned off with the remote? Out of the box, connected to internet, seems to have been updated, and working fine. But when I hit the power off with the remote, the TV reports 'Life is Good' seems to turn off, i.e. go into standby, and then a few seconds later, turns back on. If the device connected to the TV on the last active HDMI port is OFF, I get the No Signal warning. So I know the active HDMI input is not generating any signal. I want to believe that any other device on any other HDMI port might be an issue? But then the TV would switch to that HDMI port, no? This is really an issue! If I use the phone app I can turn off the TV and it seems to stay off, at least does not come back on in a few seconds like the remote? If I send 'standby' via HDMI-CEC, that seems to work as well, the TV seems to stay in standby mode. This a bug?

Hi all.
I've been very happy with my LG OLED but recently the WebOS updated (to the version with square tiles for Apps); and I can no longer work out how to close Apps.
This is important because I need to close down Apps like Youtube, NOW TV, etc because if I don't, I then have connection problems with other devices (DHCP perhaps), such as my Xbox. The only way to get around this at the moment seems to be "hard resetting" the TV; i.e. turning the TV off completely at the wall (not easy to get to), before trying to boot up an Xbox or similar. This seems to clear the Apps/connections.
It works fine if I was just using the TV for freeview. It's only after streaming something.
I used to accomplish this by going to "Recent" and then closing Apps individually. I can't find a way to close Apps now - is there a way in the new WebOS?
Thanks.

Presenting pieces brought to life by the vivid brilliance of LG OLED digital canvases, the exhibition pays homage to French Impressionism, especially the late works of the last of the Old Masters, Claude Monet. Showcasing the synergistic potential that can be achieved when art and technology come together, Jardins d’Été is a series of videos depicting the nocturnal blossoming gardens of Château de Chaumont-sur-Loire, France. For his immersive installation, Quayola uses the complexity of floral formations moved by the wind as a dataset to generate new computational paintings that can be admired in 4K thanks to LG OLED’s premium picture quality.
Quayola is a visual artist renowned for his harmonious fusion of computer programming and classical art. He employs technology as a lens to explore the tension and balance between seemingly opposing forces such as the real and artificial, figurative and abstract, old and new. With the utilization of custom computer software, his versatile portfolio encompasses audiovisual performances, video art, sculptures and works on paper.
“Jardins d’Été explores a hybrid substance between the pictorial and the algorithmic,” said Quayola. “The complex tones and palettes in this series are perfectly enhanced by LG OLED’s canvases, their exceptional picture quality blurring the lines between the digital and the physical.”
“We are pleased to engage in a captivating collaboration with a talented artist like Quayola. Together, we aim to redefine artistic boundaries, blending art and technology in ways that captivate and inspire audiences, as showcased in our exhibitions and collaborative efforts,” said Kate Oh, vice president of the Brand Communication Division at LG Home Entertainment Company. “LG OLED will uphold our motto WE INSPIRE ART, supporting artists in unlocking their creative potential and giving inspiration for the evolution of digital art.”
