I'm having the same problem with my new LG Smart TV. When I go to the LG Store it says "Coming Soon". I note that 3 days ago the new software was made available for download on LG Australia website. i have downloaded it but would like some guidance on updating the software. I will give it a go tonight. I vaguely remember an update area in the settings but can't remember if "via USB" was an option. Will post tomorrow. ***********Update - No luck with updating the software from USB stick. I found a support article for an older model TV that said the software needed to be in a folder called LG_DTV (which I did) but still no luck. When you go to the general page (under settings) and go to About This TV you have an option to check for updates but it appears that it only checks the internet and consequently comes back and says "no updates available". No option to direct the TV to the USB stick. VERY VERY FRUSTRATING!
