Changed topic title to Change view from 16:9 in movies to fit full screen - LG QLED B22
Check out this video
Much easier to use the resizing arrow key on the remote controller. If the button is not on the controller then get a different remote remote controller.

I found this.
"The cutoff of the screen is due to something called "overscan". While most TV's will automatically fit the input image to your screen, some TV's may cut off a little part of the screen - about 2-5% - and stretch the remaining image to fit the screen. The solution for overscan will vary depending on your TV. "

My LGTV is a 75UM6970PUB. That is why I am guessing. Mine never did that.

Did you see if split screen is enabled?

The way the telly so starts with that screen is not a biggie. If you hit your input key on your remote that will turn the screen to look like before.

Same here. That is part of the update. Don't know why the update was designed that way.

Hi
I have smart LG tv 2015 model 42LY760H.
I think I have WebOs-1 .
I am trying to find update to download it on USB stick but I couldn't find even on lg official website.
Do you have any useful information or link to help me.
Thank you
Unusual that there us not a notice in your screen about a update. That is the way I know of a update.
Look in your owners guide to see how you can manually check for a update.

Our TV just did an update and now certain buttons on the remote aren't working, and the TV won't stay on if it even comes on at all you get a dark blue screen and that is it.. such a great update. Now what do we do? The remote batteries have been changed and it still isn't working correctly. We unplugged the TV and then replaced it in.. ugh..
That bites. I had the same update a few days without any problems. I was going to suggest what you did.
Might have to contact LG customer service. You also can check to see if you have a reset button on the telly somewhere.

See if this works.
Look at this photograph.

If you are able send me a photograph of your remote controller here. I am not able to send photographs because when I do the replies do not show up. That may be something Tapatalk does not allow anymore.

I replied twice with a photograph of the button on your remote controller to use to bring yo to that screen adjustment. Those never showed up. So I will describe what the button looks like.
It is a button with a double ended arrow on it labelled ratio.

There is a button on your remote controller that brings you to the screen size settings. I use this many times cause I hate a screen that is not fully filled.

How to change view from 16:9 in movies to fit full screen
LG QLED B22
Very easy. On your remote controller there is a button that will bring you to a menu where you can change the picture size. I do this many times cause I hat a screen not being full screen View.

If your LG TV is turning on with the LG logo but then goes blank and doesn't display anything, there could be a few potential reasons for this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
-
Check Connections: Ensure that all the cables connecting the TV to external devices (e.g., cable box, gaming console, DVD player) are securely plugged in. Also, check the power cable to ensure it's properly connected to both the TV and the power outlet.
-
Power Cycle: Turn off the TV and unplug it from the power outlet. Wait for a minute or two, then plug it back in and try turning it on again. This power cycle can sometimes resolve temporary issues.
-
Check Remote: If you are using a remote to turn on the TV, make sure the remote has fresh batteries and is functioning correctly. Try pressing the power button on the TV itself to see if it makes any difference.
-
Try Different Input Source: Change the input source on your TV to see if the issue is related to a specific device or input. For example, switch from HDMI 1 to HDMI 2 or try using the TV's built-in apps.
-
Check Picture Settings: There might be an issue with the TV's picture settings. Access the TV's menu and check the picture settings, such as brightness, contrast, and backlight. Resetting these settings to default may help.
-
Update Firmware: Check if there is a firmware update available for your TV. Visit LG's official website, find your TV model, and download the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to install the update on your TV.
-
Perform a Factory Reset: If none of the above steps work, you can try performing a factory reset on your TV. Keep in mind that this will reset all settings and configurations to their default values, so make sure to back up any important settings or preferences.
-
Contact LG Support: If the issue persists even after trying the above steps, it's best to contact LG customer support or a qualified technician for further assistance. They can help diagnose the problem and provide appropriate solutions.
It's essential to follow safety precautions while troubleshooting your TV, such as avoiding any electrical hazards and not attempting repairs if you are not familiar with electronics. If your TV is still under warranty, it's best to seek assistance from LG or an authorized service center to avoid voiding the warranty.
Great suggestions.

Even though internet is good did you reboot your modem/router? If not try that.
-
I doubt the provider would do this. Providers need you as a customer as much as you need the provider. Have you restarted your modem? Have you reset your modem to factory settings? Restart the modem first by unplugging the modem for about 15 seconds but up to a minute if you would like.

Dud you after you saw the screen like this unplug then plug back the LGTV? This might work.

I bought LG smart tv. for some reason region selected was Africa and could only choose from african countries and had very little available apps in content store. I live in Georgia, so figured that changing region to EU would help so changed it to 3122 and selected service country UK because Georgia was not in the list. after that every app says that it is not available in current country. I have default region code saved so I guess could go back but wondering if any one can help me to get it working in EU. or if anyone have region code in which Georgia is available it will be helpful as well.
That is because Georgia in in the USA. These applications for some reason are available in the country you reside in. To me that don’t make sense but, that is why this happens.

All you have to do is use LGTVs built in browser. Go to settings then from there you should find a place to choose open where I left off.
Tv in standby mode, then off and do not power on

I would use your suggestion is unplug your LGTV wait two minutes. Then plug back in and see what happens. Hopefully that solve the ordeal. Not fun to be without a telly.
If all else fails ring up LGTV. LGTV provides great customer service.
