Triple X 808

Hello there, I'd like to be able to play movie files on my USB stick, on my LG smart TV. I'm struggling to sort myself and could do with some help. I've had this smart TV for a few weeks. I've seen on the net that formatting a USB stick using the TV is how I will get it to work? I have an Apple imac and no windows pc. I suspect that is the problem. Not possible to format stick using apple Mac I guess? Though I am getting a windows laptop end of September. I can't explore stick on TV. But it does warm me when I pull it out. Yet nowhere on screen or remote can I find an eject USB stick facility? All help appreciated, Steven
