I bought the Cable Matters RJ45 adapter as linked (https://www.amazon.de/Cable-Matters-3-0-Super-Netzwerkkabel-RJ45-Gigabit/dp/B00BBD7NFU/) for my LG B6, but I have not been able to get a connection. I plugged it into the USB port on the side, it says "Unknown device is connected", the adapter's blue light is on as well as the green ethernet light, but none of the TV apps get an internet connection. I have tried turning on and off the WiFi, plugging and unplugging, and restarting the TV but to no avail. I'd really like to be able to get the Gigabit ethernet to work, so I can stream high bitrate content to the Plex app. What am I doing wrong - has anyone been able to make it work on LG OLED55B6V?
I'm in the same boat with my LG 65UH7700 (bought in 2017). Seems to me that the USB adapter is getting the power it needs and is communicating with the network, but the OS doesn't seem to recognize that it can use that device for an internet connection.

Any hope here?
